CONTINUING PLAYS:
ATH (Anthem--$72.5; -0.04; optionable): Health care plans
Play Date: 06/08/2002
http://biz.yahoo.com/p/a/ath.html
STATUS: Another test of the 18 day MVA Friday and a tighter doji as well. Volume is still low, but that is fine on a test back and good considering the Supreme Court ruling that had some investors all in an uproar. Looks like another point where we can add to some positions or take first positions on this stock.
Volume: 1.075M Avg Volume: 1.332M
BUY POINT: $72.75 Volume=1.4M Target=$86.75 Stop=$67.66
POSITION: ATH IN - Sept. 70 call (62 delta) and/or stock

CMPC (Compucom Systems--$3.75; -0.01; no options):
Play Date: 06/12/2002
http://biz.yahoo.com/p/c/cmpc.html
STATUS: Testing the breakout. Still in a very good test of the breakout, showing a doji Friday on the 50 day MVA after the breakout of the 10 month cup with handle. Accumulation is very good and money flow and relative strength are leading the way. Not all tech stocks are poison; the smaller stocks are performing quite nicely.
Volume: 77.3K Avg Volume: 145.227K
BUY POINT: $4.1 Volume=200K Target=$5.63 Stop=$3.55

DTC (Domtar--$12.06; +0.17; no options):
Play Date: 06/17/2002
http://biz.yahoo.com/p/d/dtc.html
STATUS: Cup with handle. A nice move on stronger, average volume Friday. It looks as if DTC is ready to make its breakout move. Relative strength is leading the way already, and accumulation has been excellent in the base.
Volume: 58.6K Avg Volume: 59.636K
BUY POINT: $12.22 Volume=175K Target=$15 Stop=$11.36
POSITION:

FTEK (Fuel Tech--$6.71; -0.05; no options): Industrial electrical equipment
Play Date: 06/12/2002
http://biz.yahoo.com/p/f/ftek.html
STATUS: Cup with handle. A big volume move Tuesday pulled back immediately but on some very low volume. Friday volume was nonexistent as FTEK tested the 18 day MVA and showed a rising start doji. It looks ready to try it again, and we are willing to take some additional positions on another rising volume gain.
Volume: 19K Avg Volume: 66.09K
BUY POINT: $6.92 Volume=88K Target=$8.25 Stop=$6.37
POSITION: Stock (no option chain)

JBHT (JB Hunt Transportation--$31.05; +0.19; optionable): Trucking
Play Date: 06/01/2002
http://biz.yahoo.com/p/j/jbht.html
STATUS: A nice break higher Wednesday was followed by some lower volume profit taking on a pullback to test the move. We anticipate the stock to hold at the 10 day MVA (29.72) and give us another entry point. We like breakouts and we like successful tests of the breakouts even better. After a test of the 10 day MVA we will look for additional positions over 30 on rising volume as it moves back up.
Volume: 724.5K Avg Volume: 487.454K
BUY POINT: $30.02 after a test of 29.72. Volume=545K Target=$36 Stop=$25.40
POSITION: JHQ KX - Nov. $22.50 calls (delta 63) and/or stock.
http://www.investmenthouse.com/ct/jbht.html
NFB (North Fork Bancorp--$38.91; -0.39; optionable): Regional bank
http://biz.yahoo.com/p/n/nfb.html
STATUS: Test of breakout/18 day MVA. NFB has given us a nice gain, and after a bit of some bouncing below the 50 day MVA in early June it is now setting up for another move higher with this pullback to the 18 day MVA. It showed a doji Friday on some high volume, but was able to hold this support level even as some of the big name banks fell. This looks as if it will be an 'add-to' point for us where we can move some more money into a good stock or take some new positions.
Volume: 709.9K Avg Volume: 648.136K
BUY POINT: $39.20 Volume=750K Target=$45 Stop=$37.50
POSITION: NFB KG - Nov. $35 call (84 delta) and/or stock
http://www.investmenthouse.com/ct/nfb.html
SSNC (SSS&C Technologies--$13.24; +0.13; no options):
http://biz.yahoo.com/p/s/ssnc.html
STATUS: Testing breakout from ascending wedge. SSNC gave us a bit move last Tuesday and is now testing that move on some very low, below average volume. It is showing doji's (a good, tight one Friday called a hammer doji), testing the 10 day MVA (12.78) on the low. Buying remains excellent, and relative strength is breaking out on this pullback, a sign of continued strength in the stock. We are looking to add to positions here and it is also a place to take new positions as well.
Volume: 23.3K Avg Volume: 70.045K
BUY POINT: $13.4 Volume=80K Target=$16 Stop=$11.75
POSITION: Stock (no option chain)
