AAPL 07/08 Rolling 209.33 +0.48 138.55 149.91 13M 23M 207.91
Current. Very similar action, again, to the SP500 as AAPL just worked laterally with this doji. Still showing it could test at this level as it is pausing after a good run higher, but not set in stone at all. Going to have to watch this one carefully; if it fades, likely the indices do as well. Will have to see how this one wraps up this week.
AAPL 04/15 Test 20 209.33 +0.48 119.69 132.77 13M 25M 207.91
Current.
ABVT 02/19 Flag 62.74 -0.72 63.51 69.95 118K 175K 59.89
Current. Faded back again Wednesday, but really not bad testing at all at this level. Will see, if it continues, how it holds up with the top of the February range at 62ish and at the 10 day EMA (61.91). If it can take the bounce there, no complaints and we will just let it continue to play out.
AET 02/18 BullRev 31.28 +0.25 29.94 34.91 5.2M 8.2M 29.77
Current. Short step higher, but, like most others, AET closed well back from the intraday high. Could go back for a test now and be ok, and that is what it is hinting at. If it fades, it can reach back and take a bounce at the 50 day EMA (30.24).
AMED 01/30 ABCD Up 59.59 -1.24 57.05 67.95 911K 1.5M 57.24
Current. Up at first and then rolled back to close lower at the 10 day EMA (59.15). Holding light support and the early February high just fine with this move, but it does looks like it could head lower Thursday. If it does continue to test, we will see if it holds up at 58ish with the late February dip lower.
ANN 02/05 Flag 17.48 -0.38 15.12 17.65 2.4M 3.2M 15.81
Current. Gapped lower and finished with a doji after testing both ways intraday. Not a surprise move after that Tuesday doji with the finish off the intraday high, but looks ok as it tests for now. Will see how it can hold at 17-17.50ish with that September '09 peak there.
ASH 01/27 Asc Tri 50.35 +0.77 42.69 49.89 1.4M 1.5M 46.98
Current. Short pop higher Wednesday with volume hanging in at just over average. Showed a little more strength than on Tuesday as it held onto more of the intraday gain, but still is working rather slowly at this level after the bigger Monday bounce. Ok to let it continue, though, and see where it can finish things over the next session or two.
ATI 02/18 ABCD Up 46.77 +0.32 45.34 51.91 1.7M 3M 43.78
Current. Tried to step higher Wednesday, but a lower volume move that fell back to finish with a doji. This one is still in ok shape after the previous four day bounce, but this gravestone doji is indicating ATI will take pause now. If it does, will let it test for a couple of sessions and see where it holds up.
ATW 02/16 Rolling 35.14 +1.04 34.21 39.45 1.4M 1.3M 32.03
Buy Not Issued. Was very interested in this one, but it closed well off the high to hold at the 50 day EMA (34.95) so we backed off. After this move a little fade back and hold would give us a better entry so we will wait for that now. Seeing if we get that test Thursday.
BMRN 03/02 Asc Bse 21.45 +0.23 21.32 24.95 864K 1.4M 19.83
Buy Not Issued. Up and down on the session before locking in modest upside at the finish. Very low volume, though, so decided to hold off the buy, especially considering where the indices are. Will see if it can test now and then look for another entry.
BWA 02/24 Asc Bse 38.58 -0.08 38.69 44.88 2.2M 1.8M 36.31
Current. Gapped up but then backed down to finish just barely negative on the day. Volume was still holding above average, but BWA is sticking voer the opt of the late February range nicely still. If it continues lower, we will watch how it tests and see where it can start to dig in and bounce.
CMG 01/26 Test BO 110.08 -0.04 98.45 110.00 424K 550K 104.89
Current. Typical move as CMG surged and then purged to close back with a doji. After three days of bouncing, CMG is showing similar action as everyone else and looks ready to test. If it does start that fade on Thursday, we let it be and see where it can start to stick.
CMI 02/24 Flag 59.18 -0.06 56.82 64.85 2.7M 3M 55.78
Current. Side step with this doji after running higher and then slipping back to close flat. Nothing new for this Wednesday and at this point looks like it will test. Seeing how it holds at the 10 day EMA (57.31) with any downside.
CNMD 02/04 ABCD Up 22.48 +0.21 22.89 26.45 294K 265K 21.56
Buy Not Issued. Gapped higher and closed there with a doji after testing higher and lower intraday. Nice move through the 50 day EMA (22.17), and now a test back and bounce could really set CNMD off. Will see what it can show Thursday and if it continues to set up for a buy.
CY 02/27 Flag 11.98 -0.13 11.98 14.22 2.8M 4.5M 11.49
Current. Ran to the February high intraday, and then peeled back lower before a modest bounce at the 10 day EMA (11.89) saved it. Finished just mildly lower, and as volume was also down we are not too concerned. Will see if CY can manage to hang on at this light support layer Thursday and then start to rebound.
DE 02/25 Flag 58.66 +0.45 57.12 65.88 3.9M 6M 53.55
Buy Not Issued. Surged higher, but tapped the January high and rolled back to finish with a doji. Not setting up like it needs to for the buy so dropping it.
DNDN 01/21 ABCD Up 33.62 +0.36 29.54 33.48 3.7M 3M 30.78
Current. Big gap lower and rebound Tuesday, and then finished way off the intraday high. Definitely calmed down Wednesday with just a short gap higher to a doji. A turn back down from the doji would not be unexpected, so just watching how things pan out Thursday to see if DNDN starts to test.
EAT 02/08 Test BO 17.85 +0.01 16.81 19.91 1.2M 2.8M 17.24
Current. Held its ground nicely with this doji over the 18 day EMA (17.70). Still working along the lateral action started more mid February, but there is support at 18ish if EAT can take a slight bounce. If not, a hold at the moving average will do the job and we can look for the bounce from there.
F 02/23 Asc Tri 12.69 +0.47 11.77 14.22 157M 95M 11.57
Current. This one was Ford tough Wednesday as it took a solid bounce higher when not many were. Did not stick all the gain, but a good enough move to keep the upside going with solid volume. Seeing now if it can continue, or if it will start to test like the rest.
FIRE 02/22 Flag 25.80 -0.01 24.94 28.00 200K 400K 32.42
Current. Stepped laterally after surging intraday and then flopping back to close with a doji. Finished well off the intraday high Tuesday as well, so does seem to be slowing up now. Will let it start to test Thursday if it turns lower, and then see if it can start to get traction after a couple of sessions down.
FNSR 02/13 DB hdl 12.93 +0.05 11.75 13.97 1.7M 1.2M 11.68
Current. Volume picked up Wednesday, but FNSR did not budge much at all throughout the day. Closed with another doji after showing one Tuesday, and is slowing down at this level. Like most others, ok for it to test for a few sessions after bouncing solidly the past few sessions.
GMCR 02/01 Test BO 87.23 -0.66 86.12 99.88 1.3M 2M 83.21
Current. Familiar pattern of the day: started higher, then gave it all back and more to close negative. Not exactly what you want to see after such a solid Tuesday bounce, but still at a solid level so we can just watch it. If it continues lower Thursday, there is a layer of support with the 18 day EMA (83.98) that can hold GMCR up.
HCSG 03/01 Cup hdl 22.46 -0.05 22.49 25.94 146K 250K 21.22
Buy Not Issued. Higher intraday, but then gave the move back and more to finish negative. Really did not slip much lower, but still not the action we are going to buy with. Will see now if HCSG can go back to test lightly and then bounce again to get back on track.
HOLX 02/04 Test BO 17.15 -0.22 16.51 19.91 3.9M 5M 16.46
Current. Stepped laterally for two sessions but a short fade back Wednesday. Nothing too serious and just a normal sort of test back. Will see if it continues to the 10 day EMA (16.84) and look for a bounce there.
HUM 02/05 ABCD Up 47.49 0.00 47.69 54.55 1.5M 3.5M 45.44
Current. Stepped laterally, and like all others, did so after closing down from the intraday high. Lower volume move and just continuing laterally along the 18 day EMA (47.24) so we see what this one can do as it is at a good place to start running. Watching it the rest of the week.
ILMN 02/10 ABCD Up 38.88 +0.86 36.53 40.97 1.6M 4M 35.97
Current. Volume held below average, but ILMN managed to continue to the upside Wednesday. It even held onto nearly all of the intraday move, and showed more life than many others. If the move higher does continue to the end of the week, ILMN will be nearing resistance with the January high at 40.50, but it is ok to just watch things unfold until then.
ISRG 01/28 Test BO 362.80 +1.50 335.64 374.75 453K 700K 342.44
Current. Short gap up, reached further, and then fell back to finish with a doji. As it also closed back from the intraday high Tuesday, ISRG is likely just ready for a pause, so we see how it continues. There is a solid layer of support at 350 with the February high and 10 day EMA to hold.
JOSB 02/25 Flag 45.41 +0.20 44.81 51.75 254K 385K 42.48
Buy Not Issued. Very slightly higher Wednesday, but mostly just a lateral step with this doji. Finished well off the intraday highs and lows, and looks still like it could fade now. if it does slip, just a short move closer to 45 that holds would be better for an entry.
JOYG 02/13 Test 20 54.51 +3.01 49.05 55.00 8.9M 4M 49.97
Target Hit. Earnings shot it higher so we took part of the 12.4% stock, 50+% option gain Wednesday. It did finish off the intraday high so it may test the move, but that would be just fine. If it fades, we see if it tracks back to the 52.50ish level and bounces up again.
KSU 02/25 Cup 34.68 -0.43 35.28 39.94 947K 1.4M 32.81
Current. Second day lower and testing nicely to the 10 day EMA (34.32) now. Like how the light support level is holding up just fine, and KSU is still locked in the uptrend. Nothing wrong with seeing how it continues Thursday to see if it gets the bounce.
MDZ 02/25 Cup hdl 8.37 -0.04 8.44 10.35 673K 900K 7.85
Buy Not Issued. Finished in the red with this doji, but really nothing more than a lateral step along the 10 day EMA (8.28). Ok to keep watching it, but not the upside we need to see to give us the buy. Will continue watching, and if it can test and bounce, or just manage to start higher, we will still look at entering.
MJN 02/09 Asc Tri 48.39 +0.39 47.21 54.55 1.3M 6M 45.54
Buy Not Issued. Has started to breakout now as it continued the upside Wednesday, but no volume with the move so we could not enter. Have to drop this one until it can start to test back.
MR 02/02 Test 50 39.80 +0.64 36.94 41.95 1.3M 1.4M 37.11
Current. Tested lower intraday, then turned tail and ran quickly higher. Not a huge move, but held all the gain on a day most could not. Like the strength this one is showing, but do have to now see if it can continue past this resistance level with the Monday intraday high and January peak at this level.
MTW 02/19 Cup hdl 12.29 +0.04 12.02 15.45 2.8M 4.2M 11.22
Buy Not Issued. Story of the session: ran higher intraday, but gave it all up and finished with the doji. Really ok to let MTW test after several sessions higher, but will see how it holds up now. There is serious support with the 50 day EMA (11.49), but if MTW can take a bounce higher around the 18 day EMA (11.85), even better.
NETL 02/05 Test BO 55.59 -2.01 50.68 56.94 650K 750K 53.88
Current. Nice three day bounce, but now a turn lower to end things Wednesday. A bigger move Wednesday to engulf the Tuesday bounce, but volume did drop back with the downside so that is a plus. Going to see if it continues to test now towards the 54ish mark with the top of the February range as well as the 10 day EMA (54.35) there. Will see how it reacts once there.
NFLX 02/05 Test BO 67.55 -1.43 61.42 69.97 3.1M 2.2M 63.77
Current. Downgraded and thus the gap lower, though it did manage a modest rebound. Still finished in the red, though, so it has ground left to cover. Will watch it Thursday to see if it can shake off the news and continue higher, or if it starts to falter now.
NKTR 01/29 Test BO 14.32 +1.79 11.88 13.97 4.5M 1M 12.98
Target Hit. Took part of the 17+% stock, 50+% option gain as NKTR jumped higher as analysts brush off a fourth quarter loss and focus on the pipeline of products. Very strong move that held into the close, and now we let the rest ride to see if it continues further or starts to test.
NLST 02/18 ABCD Up 4.37 +0.32 4.18 6.45 2.7M 3.5M 3.87
Current. Finished back from the intraday high, but do like how it started to move higher, away from the 50 day EMA (4.05) support. Better action that others, but don't be surprised if it does come to double check with a reach back to that support. It is holding under the mid February high, so a pause at this level is pretty normal.
PCLN 02/24 Flag 235.82 -5.52 226.14 247.22 962K 1.2M 231.91
Current. Saw that gap to a doji on Tuesday, so not a shocker with the turn lower Wednesday. Not the best move as PCLN did not bounce off the intraday lows, but volume was down on the move. Will look for more testing Thursday, and then see if it can start to hold up with the December and February highs at the 232ish mark.
PCLN 02/11 Dbl btm 235.82 -5.52 210.99 229.91 962K 13M 231.91
Current.
PDCO 02/13 Test 50 30.79 -0.23 29.57 33.89 1.1M 1.3M 29.81
Current. Worked higher intraday, but like most others, PDCO then slipped back to finish down on the day. Bounced solidly Monday/Tuesday so just holding the top of the January range with this move, but will have to see if that continues to be the case Thursday. Further downside is still a possibility, and if that is the case we look down towards 30 for support with the February high and 10 day EMA (30.13).
PDS 03/02 ABCD Up 8.33 +0.06 8.38 9.98 1M 2M 7.79
Entered today. Gapped higher and started to run, but then slid back at the close to finish with a doji. Went ahead and picked this one up though will have to see how it reacts Wednesday as it is showing that the resistance from the February highs is coming into play. Seeing if it can crack through that level by the end of the week.
PLXS 02/02 Test BO 35.76 -0.53 32.22 39.94 386K 425K 34.12
Current. Bounced Monday/Tuesday, and now showed a turn lower Wednesday. Holding a support level with the January and February highs, but as the market does look like it could test further, PLXS may not be done. Will have to see if it sticks to this level, or if it fades back to a support level with the 18 day EMA (34.53).
PNRA 01/26 Test BO 74.09 +0.17 71.97 79.50 346K 650K 70.77
Current. Looking sluggish at the top of the January/February range as it showed a doji with a close back off the intraday high. Volume is also hanging in at just under average, and PNRA could use a slip back to the 18 day EMA (72.88) to bounce it and give it more life again.
RIMM 02/17 Flag 70.83 +0.06 70.98 88.91 8.1M 22M 67.44
Current. Stepped laterally with this doji over the 200 day SMA (69.97) support level. Holding up in the level it needs to, but still has to break out of this resistance level around 71ish. Will give it more time if it can hang in at this support, but do want to see that bounce higher sooner rather than later.
RIMM 01/13 Pennant 70.83 +0.06 66.11 79.94 8.1M 22M 67.48
Current.
RMD 02/10 Test BO 59.26 +0.36 55.08 61.89 379K 6.2M 56.44
Current. Clawed higher Wednesday with volume falling to below average on the day. With this slow bounce and that Tuesday finish off the high, RMD still looks like it could test, but will see if it does show that Thursday. If it continues to run we will let it, but with the more likely fade back, we see how it bounces at the 10 day EMA (57.67).
SAPE 02/27 Flag 9.36 +0.09 9.12 10.95 1.1M 1.5M 8.66
Volume faded to average as SAPE took another baby step up. Running out of steam at this level after five sessions of rebounding, and now we look for the test of this move. Will see what kind of fade it gets, and then with a good enough bounce we can look at picking it up.
SHLD 02/19 Flag 96.08 -0.87 95.61 104.89 962K 2.4M 94.54
Current. Short slide lower to continue the lateral action along the 10 day EMA (95.40). Nothing wrong with letting this one continue laterally for the time being, and will just watch how it wraps up the week. Then we can start to look for the bounce next week to get things moving.
SHLD 02/04 Test 50 96.08 -0.87 91.31 104.89 962K 2.4M 94.54
Current.
SINA 02/16 Dbl btm 37.49 -0.64 38.06 43.85 1.3M 1.4M 35.88
Current. Opened higher but then faded back to finish down at the 10 day EMA (37.51). Just following along with the market for the most part so will see how SINA tests at this level. If it bounces at light support, great. If it reaches lower again, we will see how it reacts over the stronger 200 day SMA (36.36).
SJT 02/09 ABCD Up 21.08 -0.06 21.33 24.94 135K 350K 20.23
Current. Opened at the 18 day EMA (20.89), bounced, and then slid back to finish with a doji. Had been looking for better action to continue the rally up from 20ish support, but this one followed along with the rest of the market Wednesday. Can see if it sticks to this support level, and then if it can start to resume the bounce in the next session or two up towards 22ish.
SOA 01/28 Rev HS 14.37 +0.01 14.16 17.94 691K 1.8M 13.62
Current. Closed off the intraday high, but did manage to finish the day flat with the hold over the 10 day EMA (14.21). Second day of testing after the big Monday bounce, but holding a reasonable level still. Will give it more time to see if it can pause over the 14ish support and take off again, or if it starts to fade further.
SSYS 02/27 Flag 26.77 -0.30 27.59 31.94 93K 300K 25.78
Current. Soft step back to the 18 day EMA (26.24) on lighter, below average trade. It bounced from this level to start the week, so nothing wrong with letting it settle back. It can hold the line over the next couple of days and then start to bounce so will see if it does that.
TEN 02/22 Cup hdl 21.54 +0.41 20.20 23.98 772K 1.8M 19.92
Current. Gap and rollover Tuesday, but the bounced right back up Wednesday. Nothing wrong with this action, and it is showing strength after the questionable Tuesday move. Volume lower with this bounce and it is likely not continued Thursday, but ok to see how TEN reacts to finish the week up.
TEVA 01/29 Test 50 60.21 -0.74 57.59 64.32 5.1M 6M 58.73
Current. Bounced Tuesday but finished back from the intraday high, and then showed a gap and rollover Wednesday to follow that up. Held up ok, though, as it did bounce modestly up from the light 10 day EMA (59.78) support. Just letting this one be, and will see what it can manage Thursday.
TEX 02/11 Rolling 21.33 +1.35 19.34 23.77 8.6M 2.8M 19.78
Current. Solid bump higher as it rides the coattails of JOYG and its strong earnings. Up further after hours, and we will see if a continued push the next couple of sessions hits our initial target. If not, this was still nice action to pump life into TEX.
TSL 02/13 Test 50 23.30 +0.61 25.85 29.91 2.4M 4M 23.89
Current. Keeps jumping then giving back a chunk as it did Wednesday with the gap to a doji, but as long as it moves up that is ok. It tapped a key area on the intraday high at the 50 day EMA (23.70) and failed, though, so this is a key area for the recover. Important to see TSL show strength with the next sessions to move on through.
VLTR 02/27 Flag 23.74 -0.04 22.11 26.42 750K 400K 21.89
Followed up that Tuesday doji with another one, though the Wednesday doji had quite a close back from the intraday high. Still think it will test but right now the question is to where. There is support at 23ish to hold, but testing to 22ish and bouncing would be a better entry. We will see.
WBSN 01/21 DB hdl 22.49 +0.58 19.36 23.44 932K 450K 21.22
Current. Stronger volume as WBSN followed the soft Monday/Tuesday upside with a more robust move. This one just hasn't slowed down at all since the beginning of February, so at this point we just see how far it continues. It will have to test eventually, but will see how far it goes before it shows signs of topping.
WCRX 03/02 Cup 27.03 -0.46 27.61 31.94 1.2M 1.8M 25.68
Buy Not Issued. Solid Tuesday bounce, but could not continue it Wednesday so we were not buying. Will see if WCRX goes back for another test of the 50 day EMA (26.43), or if it can just turn back around Thursday. Still looking for a buy, but want to see the gain that sticks before we jump in.
XTEX 01/29 Pennant 11.05 +0.05 10.01 11.95 353K 525K 9.74
Current. Showed another doji that, like the Tuesday move, finished way off the intraday high. Volume is also beginning to dry up as it fell to below average Wednesday. Looks like XTEX is ready to test, but will see if it actually does that Thursday.

Current. Gapped higher and rallied, but fell back to show a doji. Ok to leave it on with this action and will see if this can lead to a new fade. If it does begin to fall back Thursday we just leave it and see where it closes.
BWLD 03/01 BearFla 43.60 +0.24 43.17 40.04 279K 500K 44.31
Buy Not Issued. Very slight bounce Wednesday with low trade, and still holding under the 50 day EMA (43.79). Set up nicely to fall out of the bear flag pattern, but still has to show it. If it can make the break lower, it is at a great level to buy.
CUB 03/02 BearFla 34.79 +0.05 34.41 31.35 68K 200K 35.44
Buy Not Hit. Short little lateral step with this doji that is holding under the 18 day EMA (34.93). Another great bear flag set up, and just waiting on it to make the break down. Will see if it can do that at all Thursday to get us looking at an entry.
MON 02/04 BearFla 73.25 +1.48 75.56 70.15 8.2M 6M 72.11
Current. Surged then reversed well off its high after tapping up at the 18 day EMA (74.70). Did finish the day higher, but still looks like it could fall now so we left on the rest of the positions. Will see how it reacts to this Thursday.
PFWD 02/19 BearFla 12.10 +0.27 11.78 10.04 837K 650K 12.21
Buy Not Issued. Bounced Wednesday and never backed down so we did not pick it up. Still giving it time, though, as it is wedged nicely under the 18 day EMA (12.25). Just seeing how it reacts under this level of resistance, and will see if it can stumble any Thursday to get the downside move started.
RL 02/17 BearFla 80.35 -0.28 79.44 75.05 834K 1.4M 80.98
Buy Not Issued. Not jumping in Wednesday, but still watching as RL is softening up at the 50 day EMA (80.61). Have to just be patient with this one and give it time to stall. It has been unable to move through this resistance so far, thus we continue to watch through the end of the week.
SPY 03/02 ABCD Dw 112.30 +0.10 111.84 108.77 150M 195M 112.85
Buy Not Hit. Second consecutive doji, this one finishing further off the intraday high. Not necessarily spelling out a move down, but if SPY continues to stall at this level we will look at moving in. Will have to see if it can show its hand one way or the other in the next couple of sessions.
TS 03/02 BearFla 43.86 +0.97 43.44 39.88 2.9M 2.2M 44.54
Buy Not Hit. Gapped higher, but showed an evening star doji at the 50 day EMA (43.69). Moved the buy point to account for this move, and TS looks ready to break down out of the bear flag pattern.
