Upside Plays
Stock Date Play Close +/- Pivot Tgt Vol TgtV Stop
AAPL 07/08 Rolling 223.02 +3.94 138.55 149.91 33M 23M 214.28
Current. Opened slightly lower, but then ran strongly higher with big volume. A nice turn higher after the Monday pause, though it did give back a little gain off the intraday high. Like this upside though, so now we see if it can keep this up on Wednesday.

AAPL 04/15 Test 20 223.02 +3.94 119.69 132.77 33M 25M 214.28
Current.

ABVT 02/19 Flag 63.16 +0.26 63.51 69.95 129K 175K 59.89
Current. Slow move higher with volume hanging around average. Do like how it is continuing the Monday bounce after testing last week, but it could use more juice. Will see if it can get the ball rolling in the next couple of sessions.

AET 02/18 BullRev 31.23 +0.01 29.94 34.91 2.4M 8.2M 29.77
Current. Gapped up but then slid back with low volume to close flat. Not a pretty move, but AET does look like it will continue laterally for now. Can even see if it will get a little fade towards the 10 day EMA (30.71) and bounce.

AMED 01/30 ABCD Up 58.80 -0.20 57.05 67.95 754K 1.5M 57.44
Current. Gapped up but fell right back to close again near the 18 day EMA (58.79). This is not great action under the February high, but as AMED is sticking with light support we are leaving it alone. Will see if it sticks in this range and can then start to turn back up.

ANN 02/05 Flag 18.75 +0.18 15.12 17.65 1.5M 3.2M 17.11
Current. Gapped lower but battled back to close with modest gain. This one is looking toppy now with the lower volume upside and closing off the high the past couple of sessions, so we watch it closer now. Will see if it backpedals any in the next few sessions to get back to near support with the 10 day EMA (17.69).

ARO 03/04 PreSplt 25.89 +0.36 25.21 28.45 3.8M 2.6M 23.45
Lower intraday but then quickly started higher from there. Volume was up with this fairly solid bounce, but now we see if the move sticks. If it continues, fine, but if it does test more back towards 25ish that is also ok.

ASH 01/27 Asc Tri 51.08 +0.26 42.69 49.89 1M 1.5M 47.88
Current. Gapped lower but climbed back up to finish slightly positive. Volume did edge lower to below average, so ASH does still look like it is ready to test. Going to let it fade and then see how it bounces at the 10 day EMA (49.42) when it gets there.

ATI 02/18 ABCD Up 49.61 +0.38 45.34 51.91 2.7M 3M 46.31
Current. ATI is just like many others as it opened lower, but then worked back to close just barely higher on the day. Has climbed pretty steadily so far this month, and thus it is ok to see a pause now. Will see if it works laterally or if it starts to fade towards near support with the 10 day EMA (47.12).

BWA 02/24 Asc Bse 37.25 -0.50 38.69 44.88 1.6M 1.8M 36.31
Current. Fell further Tuesday to close beneath the 18 day EMA (37.49) and it is time for this one to shape up. It is holding support at 37, but this is where it needs to start finding a sticking point. Will see if it can show any strength in the next session or two.

CEDC 03/04 Asc Tri 35.24 +0.80 34.05 39.94 684K 1.1M 33.05
Current. Not much upside Monday, but quite the bounce higher Tuesday. Solid, just over average volume with the move as CEDC cracked over the January highs. Held everything into the close, and now we see if the stock can keep up the action Wednesday.

CGA 03/04 ABCD Up 15.85 -0.20 15.54 17.98 657K 875K 14.74
Current. This one shot higher but quickly backtracked to close lower with the doji. Not unlike many others we saw Tuesday, but this action was more volatile. Going to see how it plays out over the next few sessions and if it can just calm down over the light support.

CMG 01/26 Test BO 112.01 +0.51 98.45 110.00 414K 550K 106.54
Current. Higher intraday and then peeled back to close with a doji. Same story as many others, and also similar to what we saw with this one Monday. This one is out of steam for now, but can see if it pauses for a session or two and then heats back up.

CMI 02/24 Flag 61.13 +1.11 56.82 64.85 2.5M 3M 57.69
Current. Average volume as CMI bounced up from the 10 day EMA (59.06). Held most of the move into the close, and this was a more solid move than many others. This one looks good, and if it can climb higher we just let it work for us.

CNMD 02/04 ABCD Up 23.33 +0.02 22.89 26.45 67K 265K 22.11
Not able to make any headway with this doji, but did show a nice intraday reach to the 18 day EMA (22.57) that bounced. Really nice shakeout and maybe now CNMD is ready to try for even more upside.

CTCM 03/06 Flag 16.78 +0.27 16.76 19.94 439K 650K 15.59
Entered today. Paused Monday, but as it started higher out of the great setup Tuesday we bought it. Nice looking intraday reach lower that bounced, and looks ready to make a move.

CY 02/27 Flag 12.27 +0.14 11.98 14.22 4.5M 4.5M 11.49
Current. Stronger, above average volume as CY popped higher off the 10 day EMA (12.03). Did not give up much off the intraday high and is shaping up nicely. Wednesday we see if continued upside can break through the February peak (12.30) and hold the move.

DNDN 01/21 ABCD Up 36.41 +0.98 29.54 33.48 5.1M 3M 33.89
Current. Volume was back up above average as DNDN jumped higher Tuesday. This move is on the heels of three days of lateral action, and DNDN is just taking off again after last week's gap. As it is, we can just see how far DNDN runs, and then look at taking more gain with signs of topping.

EAT 02/08 Test BO 19.13 -0.13 16.81 19.91 1.6M 2.8M 17.98
Current. Strong Monday bounce, but gapped lower to this doji Tuesday that closed well back from the intraday high. Not exactly the continuation move you want to see, but can see how EAT reacts. If it goes back to retest at the 10 day EMA (18.43) we let it, but nothing wrong if it starts right back higher Wednesday.

EJ 03/06 Flag 20.43 -0.30 20.41 23.65 2.3M 1.2M 18.42
Current. Very strong Monday bounce, but closed in the red Tuesday. Gapped down, fought back to positive, but then gave up part of the move to finish lower. Not great action with volume edging higher, but we can still let this pattern work for us. Will see if the upside resumes Wednesday, or if EJ does pause for a couple of sessions now.

F 02/23 Asc Tri 12.80 -0.13 11.77 14.22 84M 95M 11.98
Current. Gapped lower, filled, and then rolled back to close with a doji. Volume held below average with the move, and F is showing a pretty decent test overall. Letting it continue for another couple of sessions, then seeing how it bounces with the light 10 day EMA (12.46) support.

FIRE 02/22 Flag 26.42 -0.34 24.94 28.00 311K 400K 23.89
Current. Gapped lower, tested back more, but then bounced to finish with a doji. Volume did pick up, but still pretty decent testing back towards the 10 day EMA (25.67). Have to give this one a couple more days, and then see if a rest at the 10 day can stoke the fire and heat things back up.

FNSR 02/13 DB hdl 13.54 +0.24 11.75 13.97 982K 1.2M 12.37
Current. Moderate pop higher, and held the entire move into the close. With that hold into the close, FNSR showed more life than many other stocks, though it still does have the prior high from last week (13.46 open) to break past. Would be really nice to see it continue Wednesday to take out that level, but will see if it actually does that.

GLD 03/06 DB hdl 109.72 -0.16 111.23 117.48 13M 20M 109.65
Buy Not Issued. GLD closed just barely in the red, but did show a nice bounce off the intraday low after opening down with the 50 day EMA (108.76). Not what we need to see for the buy, but GLD is shaping up nicely still. Going to watch for a few more sessions to see if GLD can now start to surge.

GMCR 02/01 Test BO 91.21 -1.23 86.12 99.88 1.3M 2M 86.43
Current. Strong bounce Monday that tried to continue Tuesday, but it could not stick that intraday move up. Closed for a loss, but volume was lower with the downside Tuesday. Still like this uptrend, but will give it a session or two to reload and then try for another shot higher.

HCSG 03/01 Cup hdl 22.27 -0.11 22.49 25.94 104K 250K 21.22
Buy Not Issued. A little more fade Tuesday as HCSG closed off the intraday high, but it is sticking near the 10 day EMA (22.27) now. Will see if it holds this support and bounces, or if it fades further to the 18 day EMA (22.09). Either one is fine, and we can look for a buy when it starts to bounce back up.

HOLX 02/04 Test BO 17.42 -0.10 16.51 19.91 1.7M 5M 16.88
Current. Bounced solidly for the past two sessions, but was not able to stick the Tuesday intraday move higher as it closed for a doji. Still in decent shape overall, but may have to pause for a couple of sessions before kicking back into gear. Will watch and see though.

HUM 02/05 ABCD Up 47.94 -0.01 47.69 54.55 1.3M 3.5M 45.44
Current. A short gap lower, but managed a light bounce up from the 18 day EMA (47.44). A low volume day, but still working horizontally as it has been for several weeks now. It looks good to continue that, and now we just give it time to see if it will jump.

ILMN 02/10 ABCD Up 39.00 +0.33 36.53 40.97 1.2M 4M 37.32
Current. Reached lower intraday and then bounced back to finish modestly higher. Nothing wrong with this action as ILMN continues laterally for the sixth session, and it does look ready to start the move higher. Will see if it can do just that by the end of the week.

ISRG 01/28 Test BO 355.66 -0.31 335.64 374.75 255K 700K 342.44
Current. Closed off the intraday high, but still managed a very soft bounce off the 10 day EMA (353.62). This is the fourth session at this level after gapping down last week and at the moment we just want to see ISRG continue to work along the support. Can see if it makes a move by bouncing or fading to the 18 day EMA (348.31) and holding.

JOYG 02/13 Test 20 56.83 +0.59 49.05 55.00 3.3M 4M 53.37
Current. Volume held at average as JOYG popped higher again. Not a big move, but it is still continuing the steady drift higher after last week's gap up. Just seeing where it can reach to now before starting to stall and turn back down.

KSU 02/25 Cup 35.89 +0.34 35.28 39.94 923K 1.4M 34.04
Current. Gentle move higher and completely in character with this short uptrend that started the beginning of February. It did finish back from the intraday high modestly, but overall a solid pattern that is working for us. Just have to give it longer to see if it can make the breakout move we want to see.

MDZ 02/25 Cup hdl 8.33 +0.06 8.44 10.35 439K 900K 7.85
Buy Not Issued. After testing for four sessions, MDZ showed a light bounce off the 18 day EMA (8.22). Acting just as we want it to and now we see if this turn higher can be sustained. If it does continue to work higher, we can go ahead and pick it up soon.

MFW 03/06 ABCD Up 34.00 -0.41 35.65 42.38 121K 165K 33.69
Buy Not Hit. Not able to hang on at the 50 day EMA (34.55) with this gap lower, but still watching it as it showed a nice bounce up from the intraday low. Also can see if it turns higher at this level to form a series of higher lows starting early February. Giving it time to move higher and get back on track.

MR 02/02 Test 50 38.03 -0.04 36.94 41.95 1.1M 1.4M 37.11
Current. Barely budged at all intraday before finishing flat with the doji. Volume was up above average on the day as MR stuck right around the 10 day EMA (38.04) all session. Right now we let it continue to work laterally as it has for four sessions now after the gap down last week. then see if it can start to the upside after the short breather.

MRVL 03/06 Asc Bse 20.29 +0.02 20.63 24.88 12M 18M 19.19
Buy Not Issued. Held the 10 day EMA (20.03) on the day, but was not able to stick the intraday bounce up as it closed back with the doji. MRVL is having difficulty working over the February and earlier March highs right now, but we will give it more time as it holds the light support. Still on the lookout for the bounce higher that can hold into the close for an entry.

NETL 02/05 Test BO 55.78 -2.16 50.68 56.94 987K 750K 54.44
Current. First sign of real trouble with the higher volume fall back to the 10 day EMA (55.53). Choppy this month with day to day big moves up followed by big moves down, but on the higher volume we are watching it. It is still in the trend, and that is fine, but do have to be careful with this one if it starts to show more weakness.

NFLX 02/05 Test BO 69.94 +1.26 61.42 69.97 2M 2.2M 65.55
Current. An impressive bounce higher, but closed off the intraday highs to hold with the late February peak (69.99 open). Seeing that there is resistance at this level, but with the higher volume upside, NFLX does look capable of breaking through. Seeing if it will do that Wednesday.

NKTR 01/29 Test BO 15.29 +0.40 11.88 13.97 1.4M 1M 13.84
Current. Paused Monday after three sessions of gains, but resumed the upside right away Tuesday. Went ahead and held the entire move into the close as well to look really solid. This one will have to make a real test at some point, but if it keeps working higher Wednesday, we just let it work.

NLST 02/18 ABCD Up 4.68 +0.47 4.18 6.45 8.8M 3.5M 3.98
Current. After the great testing back the past three sessions, NLST raced higher off of the 50 day EMA (4.09). Like many others, it gave up better intraday levels, but it was still a strong jump. After this break, we see if it can continue to push Wednesday.

PCLN 02/24 Flag 238.33 -1.85 226.14 247.22 898K 1.2M 231.91
Current. This one has been trending higher nicely over the past few weeks as it forms the higher lows, but it was not able to make much headway Tuesday as it closed back from the intraday high. Still holding light support with the 10 day EMA (233.72) and in a solid trend so there is no problem in letting it play around. Do want to watch to see how it moves at the prior high at 241.34 though.

PCLN 02/11 Dbl btm 238.33 -1.85 210.99 229.91 898K 13M 231.91
Current.

PDCO 03/08 Flag 30.11 -0.55 30.84 35.94 1.4M 1.3M 29.96
Buy Not Hit. Gapped and then sold back to close at the 18 day EMA (30.07). Not exactly the move we were looking for, but it is at solid support with the moving average and the top of the mid February range. Will see if it holds 30ish and bounces to get back on track.

PDCO 02/13 Test 50 30.11 -0.55 29.57 33.89 1.4M 1.3M 29.81
Current.

PDS 03/02 ABCD Up 8.42 -0.09 8.38 9.98 1.1M 2M 7.94
Current. Lower on the day, but looks pretty solid with this doji that bounced off the 10 day EMA (8.29) with the intraday low. Can let it test and pause at this support, and then we can look for the bump higher in the next couple of days.

PLXS 02/02 Test BO 37.24 +1.14 32.22 39.94 407K 425K 35.08
Current. Stepped laterally for three sessions before this Tuesday bounce up from the 10 day EMA (35.88). Volume jumped to above average with this upside, and PLXS looks very solid as it held the move into the close. After this we just see if it continues Wednesday.

PNRA 01/26 Test BO 76.81 -1.72 71.97 79.50 662K 650K 74.89
Current. Stepped laterally Monday, but starting to test now with the Tuesday bump lower. Not crazy about the above average volume with the downside, but it is ok for this one to test towards the 10 day EMA (75.36). Will let this one continue, and then see how it reacts once there.

RIMM 02/17 Flag 73.55 +0.16 70.98 88.91 17M 22M 70.04
Current. Story of the day with the intraday bounce that faded back to flat. Still, not exactly what we wanted to see after the strong Monday bounce higher. If RIMM resumes the upside, fine, but if it fades as it looks ready to do, we see how it holds up at 71.30ish with the February highs.

RIMM 01/13 Pennant 73.55 +0.16 66.11 79.94 17M 22M 70.04
Current.

RMD 02/10 Test BO 59.36 +0.18 55.08 61.89 298K 6.2M 57.38
Current. Gentle upside to just continue the lateral action of the past five sessions. RMD is starting to move along with the rising 10 day EMA (58.57) now, so will see if it can start to bounce higher in the next couple of sessions.

SAPE 02/27 Flag 9.60 -0.23 9.12 10.95 2.8M 1.5M 9.22
Bounced Monday and tried to continue that Tuesday, but showed a high volume reversal back off the intraday high. This one is still in its trend, but have to be careful and watch it after this move. Will see what it can manage Wednesday to calm down.

SHLD 02/19 Flag 101.01 -0.86 95.61 104.89 667K 2.4M 96.36
Current. Three days of climbing and now a pause Tuesday with the low volume doji. Just a very modest move back, and looks ready to test lightly at the 10 day EMA (98.35) now. Just a healthy move in the uptrend, and looks like it can bounce after a couple sessions of rest.

SHLD 02/04 Test 50 101.01 -0.86 91.31 104.89 667K 2.4M 96.36
Current.

SINA 02/16 Dbl btm 41.00 -0.95 38.06 43.85 887K 1.4M 39.43
Current. Broke higher strongly for three sessions, and now showing a fade back Tuesday on lower volume. A pretty normal move so we let it run and see if it continues down to the 50 day EMA (39.59) support. If it fades and bounces at or above that support it is doing just what it needs to.

SJT 02/09 ABCD Up 21.90 +0.50 21.33 24.94 510K 350K 20.38
Current. Tapped the 18 day EMA (21.06) on the intraday low and then bounce up from there. Made for a decent move higher on volume, though it did close well back from the intraday high at 22.40ish. Do like how it is starting to bounce to the prior peaks at 22, but not so crazy about the close off the high. Will see how that pans out over the next couple of sessions and if SJT can break through.

SOA 01/28 Rev HS 15.35 -0.11 14.16 17.94 1.1M 1.8M 14.18
Current. Gapped down, surged, and then slid back to close with a doji. Nothing out of the ordinary this Tuesday, and just looks ready to pause after two days higher. Going to see how it sticks around this level over the next couple of sessions, and if it still looks ready to jump after the pause.

SSYS 02/27 Flag 27.70 +0.35 27.59 31.94 139K 300K 25.78
Current. A soft step higher Tuesday as SSYS bounced lightly off the 10 day EMA (27.15). With this move, the stock is still in the lateral range from the past two weeks, but that could change with further upside. Will see if we get that Wednesday, or if SSYS steps laterally to keep pausing.

SYK 03/04 Cup hdl 55.00 -0.05 54.97 62.22 1.3M 2.4M 52.44
Current. Barely moved at all Monday, and just the same story with the Tuesday action. Showed a doji, and this one does have room to fade to the 10 day EMA (54.21). Will see if the market tests to encourage that, or if SYK can start to bounce on its own.

TEN 02/22 Cup hdl 21.84 -0.05 20.20 23.98 678K 1.8M 19.92
Current. Same story all day: higher at first, but then rolled back to finish flat. Not the prettiest move, but TEN is holding over the 10 day EMA (21.29) so we let it test for now. Will see if it can fade just a little more to that level and take the bounce.

TEVA 01/29 Test 50 61.48 +0.99 57.59 64.32 4.5M 6M 59.48
Current. This is still one to watch. Saw that higher volume turn lower Monday, and though TEVA bounced right back up off the 10 day EMA (60.56) Tuesday, it did so with lower, below average trade. This bounce did hold most of the gain into the close, but we do have to see if now it can continue up past the prior high from Friday (61.66). If it fades again, we look for the same support to hold.

TEX 02/11 Rolling 22.45 -0.23 19.34 23.77 2.1M 2.8M 21.87
Current. Gapped down, filled, and then slid back to close with a doji. Testing just as it should after the solid upside last week, and right now we just see how it continues towards the 10 day EMA (21.36). If it can bounce up there, it will be in very good shape.

TJX 03/08 Flag 41.66 +0.12 41.69 46.95 2.8M 5.5M 39.98
Buy Not Issued. Started higher, but rolled back to close so we were not buying. Still like the setup though, so will see if TJX gets any fade and then starts back up with a move that holds. That would be a better entry.

UPL 03/08 Rolling 47.19 +0.91 47.12 53.94 1.6M 2M 44.77
Entered today. Average volume as UPL bounced higher Tuesday. Did close under the 50 day EMA (47.94), but like this move higher and it was good enough for the buy. Just looking to play the roll higher so now we give it time to do that.

VLTR 02/27 Flag 23.41 -0.28 22.11 26.42 256K 400K 22.04
Off the intraday high, but not a bad fade back to the 10 day EMA (23.26). Just letting VLTR make this test, and will see how it holds up at this level with the February highs also nearby. A great place to bounce, but will see if this one can.

WBSN 01/21 DB hdl 23.37 -0.09 19.36 23.44 304K 450K 21.94
Current. Gapped lower and then closed with the doji to post a modest loss. Has to take a breather at some point, but this was a pretty way to do that with the lower volume. Seeing now if it does start to make a real test, or if it resumes this steady, one month run higher.

WCRX 03/02 Cup 27.43 +0.47 27.61 31.94 1.4M 1.8M 25.68
Buy Not Issued. Flopped back Monday, so do like this bounce right back up off the 18 day EMA (26.85) support. Still not enough upside for the buy, but starting in the right direction if this move can hold. Now we just need another session or two like this and we can go ahead and move in.

WDC 03/06 Rolling 38.79 -0.81 39.78 45.95 6.9M 6M 37.93
Buy Not Issued. Opened at the 10 day EMA (39.56) and then turned lower with above average volume. Not the best action we saw Tuesday, but it is still holding the bottom of the range just fine. Have to give this one a few more sessions, and see if it can start to roll higher. No need to rush things.

XTEX 01/29 Pennant 10.97 +0.32 10.01 11.95 291K 525K 10.08
Current. Acting just as it should with this bounce off the 10 day EMA (10.49) after four sessions of testing. Volume was lower so XTEX may fade Wednesday, but this is still a solid setup that we are going to let work for us. Will see what it can manage Wednesday.

ATHN 03/08 BearFla 38.21 -0.75 38.82 35.31 766K 1M 39.77
Buy Not Issued. Turned lower Tuesday, but bounced with the market late in the day so we held off the buy. Will see if this late bounce continues Wednesday, and if it does we give this one more time to set up. If ATHN starts to fall again, we can still go ahead and pick it up.

BUCY 02/22 BearRev 65.63 -0.49 61.15 56.25 2.2M 4M 62.11
Current. Gapped down, filled, and then turned back to finish with a doji. After this action on higher volume, BUCY may have hit the wall. Will have to see how the pause with the market plays out, but after this we can leave BUCY on to see if it falls.

CAT 03/03 ABCD Dw 59.18 +0.27 57.74 54.36 7.7M 12M 59.77
Buy Not Issued. This one bounced quietly higher off the 10 day EMA (58.27) so we were not buying. Still, like most others it closed off the intraday high and does look tired. Can give it a few more sessions to see if it does indeed break under the downside pressure to give us a buy.

KOL 03/08 ABCD Dw 37.86 +0.07 37.57 34.04 761K 800K 38.61
Buy Not Issued. Tried to bounce Tuesday, but could not stick the intraday move higher. KOL is shaping up nicely after the Monday gap and rollover, and now this move. Now it just has to show the fall before we can jump on it.

MON 02/04 BearFla 71.28 -0.74 75.56 70.15 8.3M 6M 72.11
Current. Up at first, and then slipped back with higher, above average volume. This one is working out beautifully to the downside, but now we see if it continues and how it acts at the 70.50ish support level. The old low from late February is there so that could bounce MON, but we will see how that plays out.

STLD 03/03 ABCD Dw 17.73 -0.23 17.65 15.11 7.5M 8.5M 18.31
Entered today. Gapped up to that Monday doji, and as it showed another doji Tuesday off the intraday high we entered a few positions. Will see if this pattern can take STLD lower as the market pauses.

TS 03/02 BearFla 43.92 -0.21 43.44 39.88 2.2M 2.2M 44.54
Buy Not Hit. Slight downside on the day, but just barely managed to hold on at the 50 day EMA (43.71). This one is not able to bounce higher, but still has to show the downside before it can be bought. Just have to continue watching at this inflection point to see which way it will turn.

VSEA 03/04 ABCD Dw 30.81 -0.29 30.77 28.04 562K 825K 31.84
Buy Not Issued. A nice fade Tuesday with above average volume, though it did manage a slight bounce off the intraday low. Will see if that bounce continues into Wednesday, or if VSEA can start lower again. Can still pick this one up if it shows a good enough move back over the next couple of sessions.
