AAPL 07/08 Rolling 254.28 +0.77 138.55 149.91 21M 23M 255.11
Current. Gapped, rallied, and then closed below the April gap up point. Important and could easily move back down to the bottom of the range at the April point where it gapped up from so have to watch it here. Need to be careful if it starts backtracking on us and cannot hang on anywhere.
AAPL 04/15 Test 20 254.28 +0.77 119.69 132.77 21M 25M 255.11
Current.
AKAM 05/06 Flag 43.68 -0.62 38.14 44.75 5.9M 4.5M 40.62
Current. Ended last week nicely higher, and then just eased back to start things Monday. Pretty controlled move back, and can keep fading towards the 10 day EMA (42.13) and be just fine. So, leaving it alone for now and will see how it fades and holds up Tuesday.
AKAM 04/05 Flat 43.68 -0.62 32.84 39.89 5.9M 4.5M 40.63
Target Hit. Took some more of the 32.7% stock, 213% option gain with this position; took nice gain with the 38.14 position Friday.
ANN 06/10 ABCD Up 21.79 +0.66 21.79 24.94 1.8M 2.8M 19.74
Entered today. Picked up a partial late in the session as was holding decently. Was off the highs some, but still held a solid gain when most weren't. Now that it is holding over the 50 day EMA (21.18), we see if it can continue to bounce up from that point.
ARO 05/22 Test 20 30.64 +0.19 29.18 33.44 2.7M 3M 28.47
Current. Tried to surge, but slipped back with the market to finish the day with a doji. Pretty typical move for this Monday, and ok for it to pause now after three days solidly higher. So, we see how it fades back to 30 with the early June high, and if it can hold and bounce there.
ASH 06/11 Trnd Rv 53.39 +0.33 53.28 62.92 1.1M 2M 49.55
Buy Not Issued. Gapped, ran through the 50 day EMA (53.80), but then reversed to close below it. Didn't want to move in on that action so now just have to be patient. if it can stick a move up through that level, great, but not going to rush things. Seeing if it firms up any Tuesday.
BIDU 06/10 Test 50 72.93 +0.08 72.46 83.94 8.3M 18M 69.88
Current. Gapped, but was unable to do much from there and then slid back to finish flat. Holding up at a decent level so letting it pause, and will see if it can start up off the 10 day EMA (71.99) in another day or so.
CAGC 06/11 Rolling 12.77 +0.71 12.70 15.42 1.6M 1.4M 11.11
Entered today. Picked up a partial with this one as well. Did close a little off the highs, but with the nice gap up this one held a solid gain. Decent action overall, but with the market the way it is, did not want to overload the boat.
CHK 06/10 Trnd Rv 24.62 -0.02 24.40 28.54 16M 23M 22.74
Current. Gapped, ran through the 200 day SMA (25.18), and then slid back to finish at session lows. Basically flat on the session, and looks like it needs to take a little break for a day or two. Will let it have its breather, then see if it starts to bounce up again off the rising 10 day EMA (23.85). When it does that, we start looking for the run up to keep moving.
CI 06/08 DB hdl 34.55 +0.06 34.44 39.91 3M 5M 32.78
Current. Typical move with the gap, run, and then slide back into the finish. Yet another stock that finished the session flat and now we have to see how it responds. Not a bad place to take a breather, so will see if it can bounce back up after a little test towards the 50 day EMA (33.83). Watching how it starts things Tuesday and will go from there.
CMG 05/10 Flag 148.77 -0.71 138.71 158.42 787K 775K 142.11
Current. Gapped, ran, then shrank back into the finish. Looking a little tired after peeking over the early June high, so now we let it fade. If it gets to the 10 or 18 day EMA (145.00, 142.94) and can bounce, great. Just letting it play as it holds the uptrend.
CMG 01/26 Test BO 148.77 -0.71 98.45 110.00 787K 550K 142.11
Target Hit. Took some 409% gain on the July options on the 98.45 position as CMG reached higher and then started to fade back.
CMI 06/10 Pennant 72.41 +0.19 71.98 81.44 2.6M 4M 68.48
Current. Squirted higher, near those May peaks, but then eased back to finish mildly higher. Really an okay spot for the stock to pause after a nice burst higher last week, so leaving it alone. Watching how it tests the next session or two, and will see how it holds up.
CNC 06/07 DB hdl 22.83 -0.08 23.88 27.94 282K 950K 22.41
Buy Not Hit. Very slight fade back, holding up over nice support at the 18 day EMA (22.75). Also have the 50 day EMA right there for support as well, so watching now how the stock bounces. When it can start up off this level, it may be ready to make the sustained break higher. We will see though.
DLTR 05/29 PreSplt 62.76 -0.30 60.89 67.75 1.1M 1.6M 61.18
Current. Four days higher last week, and now pausing Monday under the May highs (63.58) open. With the upside from last week it is ok for the stock to pause, and we can see now how it fades towards the 10 day EMA (62.05). If it can hold and bounce there, it is set to keep running higher.
DTG 06/10 Pennant 44.48 -0.75 45.57 52.24 509K 1.7M 42.54
Buy Not Issued. Started the day at the 18 day EMA (45.34) and then fell back from there to finish lower. Still holding the range of support it needs to hold, but not the best action Monday as it stalled out under resistance. Will have to see if it can firm up the next couple of days, and then move past this point with the next upside push.
FFIV 06/05 Test 50 70.47 +0.52 69.57 78.95 1.2M 1.6M 66.54
Current. Gapped up, then closed off its high to finish the day with a doji. Not a great move to see right near the May and early June highs, and now the stock looks set to fade back some. If it does keep turning lower, we watch for a reaction at the 10 and 18 day EMA (68.93, 68.83). Still like the pattern for this one, and if it can bounce up from that point, it should be good to go.
GLD 05/24 Test 18 119.60 -0.41 117.32 122.24 11M 38M 116.89
Current. Still a very orderly, normal pullback after this slight gap lower Monday. Bounced up from the intraday low at the 18 day EMA (119.09), and holding up at this level just fine. So, we let it pause longer at this point and then see how it starts to bounce back up for us.
HNT 06/08 Cup hdl 26.69 -0.02 26.10 29.75 1.1M 2.1M 25.53
Current. Four days higher last week, but faded off the gap up Monday to finish flat. After the gains from the previous week it is ok for the stock to take a little test now. Will let it do that, and see how it looks with the quickly rising 10 day EMA (25.72). It bounced up from that support a couple weeks back, so looking for the same this time around.
ILMN 05/11 ABCD Up 44.45 -0.54 42.74 47.95 1.1M 2M 42.11
Current. Up at first, but like all other stocks as it was not able to stick anything. Ended up with a moderate step lower Monday, and now we see how it follows up Tuesday. Does it firm up? Or does it slide to near support with the 10 day EMA (43.15) and try to bounce there? We will see what we get.
IRBT 05/06 Flag 20.28 +0.17 19.22 21.94 86K 220K 20.11
Current. Held key support last week and then shot higher from there Friday. Tried to continue that to start this week, but it could not hold the entire gap up. Still, it did show life as it bounced up from the lows at the 10 day EMA (19.88) so we see what it does off this doji Tuesday. If it pans out to be more of a continuation move, awesome, but if it does test at this point a little longer that is fine as well.
IWM 05/24 ABCD Up 65.35 +0.41 65.48 73.95 71M 100M 64.21
Current. Similar to SP500 as it gapped rallied to test resistance (here the 50 day EMA) and then rolling over. Did not close negative, but not great action. So, have to keep a close eye on it Tuesday to see that it holds up in this range where we need it to.
LNCR 06/01 PreSplt 49.50 +0.07 48.19 53.95 1.6M 1M 46.18
Current. Flat on the day after closing down from the intraday highs. Three days higher to end last week, and now taking a breather. We just see if it holds up at this point after clearing over the early June high (48.90), or if it tests back a little deeper. Just have to wait and see.
LULU 06/08 Test 50 42.43 +0.67 39.93 49.88 1.3M 1.8M 37.13
Buy Not Issued. Still looking for a test, particularly after this gap to a tombstone doji. A pullback near the 10 day EMA (40.67) that can hold and start back up would be a super entry point so will see if the stock heads in that direction Tuesday.
NEM 04/14 Flag 54.94 -1.31 55.48 62.95 7.4M 10M 55.22
Current. This one actually gapped down, filled, and then turned back to take a solid step lower. Not the normal action for this Monday, but it did manage to hold up at the 18 day EMA (55.05) ok. Will see if it sticks to this point and bounces Tuesday, or if it keeps fading to firmer support from the 50 day EMA (54.02). Really do not want to see it that low, so will keep a close eye on it if it keeps fading on us Tuesday.
NETL 05/19 Dbl btm 28.27 -0.09 28.98 34.89 759K 2M 27.53
Current. Hit the 50 day EMA (28.80) with the jump higher and stalled some. Not giving up on it as the pattern is still building and NETL is sticking over the 18 day EMA (28.14). Will see how it holds this support Tuesday, and if it can start the bounce up soon to move past the 50 day.
NFLX 05/11 ABCD Up 126.81 +6.12 104.89 122.00 5M 3.2M 115.44
Target Hit. Took part of the 21% stock and 95% option gain as NFLX gapped, and then stuck the climb higher from there. Showing strength as it ignored the market and stuck a big move higher, but now we see if it holds again Tuesday. If it does, great. Really ok if it tests though after this nice move higher.
NTRI 05/17 Test BO 22.87 +1.04 22.28 28.89 677K 2M 20.69
Current. Another one that ran firmly higher and then stuck most of the gain. Volume was a little better with this move, though not huge, and NTRI is showing life. Will see if it can continue Tuesday, but do have to watch as there is some resistance at 24ish with the May highs.
ORBK 06/05 DB hdl 11.60 +0.01 12.02 13.94 190K 125K 11.18
Buy Not Hit. Gapped up, sold back, and then bounced off the lows to finish flat. Still in great position to move, just not able to stick anything Monday. So, we watch it longer and see if that can change the next couple of days. Still just waiting on that shot higher to hold for our entry.
OSIS 06/01 DB hdl 28.56 +0.41 27.05 31.55 196K 275K 26.48
Current. Not a huge move, but held a solid step up for us to start the week. This one is doing everything it needs to, and now we just leave it to see if it can keep it up. Watching to see if it continues the upside Tuesday, or if it starts to pause some now after five days of gains.
PAY 06/11 Test 20 19.75 -0.31 20.18 23.45 1.5M 2M 18.77
Buy Not Issued. Two days up and then the slide back down Monday. Really an orderly step lower and now just letting it fade to the 50 day EMA (19.19). If it can get to that point and stick a bounce back, it is looking ripe for a buy.
PNRA 05/27 Dbl btm 83.52 +0.53 81.58 88.54 448K 755K 80.11
Current. Climbed for a couple sessions last week, but gapped to the April gap down point and then stalled out Monday. A pretty key level and just not ready to take it out yet. So, letting it pause and will see how it fades to the early June peak at 82.50 for support. A hold and bounce back and we see if PNRA moves up through the resistance point from May.
ROST 05/21 ABCD Up 56.97 -0.36 52.87 58.91 2M 3.2M 54.57
Current. Nothing new with this move as it started higher, but changed course to finish the day slightly down. This one climbed three days last week and then paused Friday, so this Monday side step is really just a continuation of that little breather. Will let it hold this point for another day or two, then see if it can bounce back up with the rising 10 day EMA (55.54) as it still looks good for a push higher.
SNDK 05/25 Pennant 47.33 +2.74 45.45 49.89 22M 12M 42.92
Current. Gapped up and then ran higher from there, backed by very strong volume. Did close off the better intraday levels, closing the stock right at those late May and early June highs (47.50ish). Key point now. Have to see if the stock can ride higher again Tuesday to move past this resistance and near the target, or if it starts to fade back. Will have to wait and see.
SNDK 04/29 Flag 47.33 +2.74 39.14 49.94 22M 13M 42.92
Current.
SSYS 06/11 Trnd Rv 24.90 +0.11 24.88 29.94 96K 250K 23.14
Buy Not Issued. Gapped higher and reversed for a small gain. No volume at all and that kept us out as Friday's move was on no volume as well. If it gets a little check up at the 50 day EMA (24.22) and can give a more lively bounce back, then we may look at picking it up.
TIE 06/10 BO 20.07 +0.51 19.09 21.94 6.9M 4.5M 17.69
Current. Gapped, surged much higher, and then slid back to finish with a doji. With this gap up, TIE likely slips back on us Tuesday but we will see. At a safe level so we give it time and see how it works along for the next couple sessions.
UA 06/06 DB hdl 34.73 +0.39 34.17 39.89 876K 1.2M 31.97
Current. Gapped up to show a doji at the late May highs (34.50ish). Did hold the gap for a small gain, but as it was well off its highs we see if this move can stick Tuesday. Could test back a little, but have room to work with so will just give it time to see what it does.
USO 06/10 Rolling 34.33 +0.10 34.74 38.18 8.6M 16M 33.52
Current. Not bad but struggling at the February low the past several sessions. Not giving in yet as it works along over the 18 day EMA (34.12), and still looks as if it has what it needs to move on through with oil prices. Just have to be patient.
VIT 06/11 Dbl btm 21.50 -0.06 22.02 25.95 464K 700K 20.11
Buy Not Hit. Stalling a little at the 50 day EMA (21.94) as it finished a little lower Monday. Still in shape though and the double bottom pattern can work for us. So, watching how it holds at the 18 day EMA (21.44), and will see what kind of bounce back it gives us to work with.
WRLD 05/20 ABCD Up 36.72 +0.21 37.18 44.89 154K 500K 34.33
Current. Held a small gain with the gap up, showing a doji over the 50 day EMA (36.17). Even if this one does fade slightly, if it can hold this moving average it is in great shape to start that run higher for us. Will be patient and see if it can start showing us life up from this support.
Downside Plays
Stock Date Play Close +/- Pivot Tgt Vol TgtV Stop
AAPL 06/01 Dbl Top 254.28 +0.77 255.88 239.11 21M 34M 259.32
Current. Gapped, rallied, and then stalled out below the April gap up point. Nice to see and now watching for the reaction Tuesday. If it can start back down after this important test, it could move to the bottom of the range with the April point where it gapped up from. With that, we can leave it alone and see if it falls any for us Tuesday.
CVS 05/29 BearFla 31.87 -0.21 33.80 30.65 16M 12M 31.64
Current. Rallied through the 10 day EMA (32.48) then reversed and gave it up to close lower. Pretty classic action. Really thinking a lot about adding more downside positions. For now will see how it reacts to this test and failure at resistance Tuesday.
PCLN 05/29 BearFla 184.14 +0.23 189.64 177.65 975K 1.9M 183.54
Current. Gapped up and then flopped back to finish flat, though it did manage to hang on at the 10 day EMA (183.52). Still have to watch out for this one as it held those May lows and bounced, but it is ok to see how it works Tuesday. As long as it keeps showing weakness in this range we leave it, but do want it back below the 10 day soon.
SPY 05/29 BearFla 109.51 -0.17 108.64 104.45 207M 310M 107.92
Current. Gapped, tapped the 200 day SMA (110.88) on the high, then rolled back to negative. With that action we left it given SPY and SP500 have both failed at that level in the past three weeks. Now just seeing if it can do it again Tuesday, but have to be careful if it shows any sign that it may not.
TEX 05/29 HdShldr 20.56 +0.16 20.81 17.44 2M 2.7M 20.82
Closed well off the high after tapping near the 200 day SMA (21.34). Looks weak so will watch it longer to see if it breaks back down from this point. Will see if it can turn lower Tuesday, or if it holds against this resistance point for another session.
ZMH 06/02 BearFla 53.66 -0.35 54.05 50.46 1.8M 2.5M 55.11
Up at first, but turned back below the 10 day EMA (54.08), finishing at session lows. This is the kind of weakness we look for, so now just watching this one Tuesday to see if it can keep heading south.
