STATUS: Breakout. DCLK is making the breakout from an 8 week double bottom pattern sporting solid 4 to 0 accumulation (4 up price weeks on rising volume to 0 down price weeks on rising volume). This short base is actually the handle to a much longer 18 month base that started back in March of 2002. Either way you look at it, the accumulation is solid as is the breakout move Thursday on a very strong volume surge. Money flow has been moving up ahead of price and relative strength broke out on the Thursday move. We are looking to move in on a further break higher.

STATUS: Cup. HGSI is starting to run up to form the right side of a 3 month base, blasting higher Thursday as volume shot up well above average. Accumulation in the base is an excellent 5 to 2 just as HGSI starts up the right side of its base. It could form a handle at the 17 level, but we like how this sector is starting to move well and are looking at starting positions here and adding later on a further breakout from any handle or over the left side of the base.

STATUS: Testing the breakout. HILL broke from an 8 week base Tuesday on a very strong volume surge. Accumulation in the base is solid at 2 to 0 with strong money flow. Relative strength broke out on the Tuesday move, a good confirmation of the move. it has pulled back the past two sessions on lower volume, dropping to below average on Thursday. We are looking for HILL to hold here or at 17.50 and then rebound on rising volume, a successful test of the breakout.
