THE PLAYS
Good movers Tuesday: AMSC; IDT; KEI; PAL
Monday night play results:
KEI: Nice volume move higher.
PAL: A great voluem break higher.
AMSC: Another good volume move as it continued the breakout.
New Plays for Wednesday:
Play Date: 12/30/2003
CAMD (California Micro Devices--$8.88; +0.29; no options): Semiconductor integrated circuits
http://biz.yahoo.com/p/c/camd.html
STATUS: Reverse head and shoulders. CAMD is making the test lower in the right shoulder of the 10 week pattern, holding the 18 day MVA (8.46) on the low and rebounding smartly. Solid money flow continues as CAMD makes the easy, low volume pullback to complete the base. Now all we do is wait for the stock to make the move back up on a strong shot of volume.

VYYO (Vyyo Inc.--$8.56; +0.26; no options): Telecom equipment
http://biz.yahoo.com/p/v/vyyo.html
STATUS: Cup. After a huge breakout from a similar pattern in early November, VYYO has moved laterally the past 7 weeks, holding over the 18 day MVA (7.68) and forming the current cup base. Positive accumulation in the base and volume has swelled the past week, indicating the stock is getting ready to make its move. Outstanding money flow and relative strength ready for the breakout. Looks super.

SUBSCRIBER PORTFOLIO: These are stocks subscribers suggest by vote that we put in a portfolio to track and move into the stocks if they set up well.
AVID, COH, DIS, GTRC, KKD, LPNT, OCR, TGT, UTSI, XMSR
DIS: On the verge of the next breakout after forming a 7 week reverse head and shoulders pattern. Excellent money flow. Next by is a strong volume move over 23.62.
SUBSCRIBER WATCHLIST
We continually receive ideas for potential plays from our subscribers. Many times they are already on our watchlists, other times not. We always take a look at them and sometimes find a few pearls. This weekend we are starting a new feature where we include some subscriber choices that could develop into plays. We are not necessarily endorsing these, but want to provide a forum for subscribers with ideas that may appeal to their portfolio. Typically we will put these on without commentary, but if we see something we really like or dislike we will point it out. That way we can maybe come up with some new plays, find some plays that may fit your style, and have another great educational tool to discuss problems or good aspects about stocks our subscribers are looking at.
SBC: In a 7 month cup base after moving off of its March low. It looks decent enough with good accumulation and money flow. We have considered it, but have kept putting it off in favor of others. Not bad, however.
VRC; Nice oil and gas equipment stock. In a big 7 month cup, and may form a handle somewhere here between 21 and 22. It tried that mid-month with a big volume move higher, but it was not a clean one. Looking for a better formation of a handle and then a clean breakout.
CONTINUING:
Look ready for Wednesday: TXN; CTRA; TSAI; ONNN; GLNB
