THE PLAYS
Good movers Monday: ABGX; AIRN; ARQL; AVAN; BRCM; CORI; DFRY; OHI; OPNT; RWY; SNIC; WMS
Weekend play results:
ADAT: Solid bounce off the 10 day MVA after the breakout test.
BRCM: Another solid bounce off the short term MVA on another good breakout test.
CCUR: Gapped higher and showed some pretty wild trade so we sat it out to see if it settles back or continues the move.
NTOP: Another doji on low volume. Just being patient here.
New Plays for Tuesday:
Play Date: 01/26/2004
ADIC (Advanced Digital Info--$19.22; +1.23; optionable): Data storage
http://biz.yahoo.com/p/a/adic.html
STATUS: Breakout. ADIC is making the breakout from a 17 week reverse head and shoulders base. Accumulation in the base is an outstanding 6 to 1 (6 up price weeks on rising volume to 1 down price week on rising volume). Money flow is surging and money flow is breaking out as well. Showing a lot of strength. Earnings in March.
Volume: 2.246M Avg Volume: 827.363K
BUY POINT: $19.31 Volume=1.2M Target=$23.22 Stop=$17.96
POSITION: QXG FW - June $17.50c (71 delta) &/or Stock

Play Date: 01/26/2004
QTWW (Quantum Fuel Sys.--$10.06; +0.83; optionable): Fuel systems for alternative fuel vehicles
http://biz.yahoo.com/p/q/qtww.html
STATUS: Cup. A new issue in July 2002, QTWW is forming its first real base after a break higher this summer. It is curently trying to make the breakout from a 15 week base sporting solid 4 to 2 accumulation. Money flow is running up ahead of the stock even as price starts higher. Volume has swelled the past two weeks, and Monday, after a brief pullback last Thursday and Friday, it jumped on strong volume. Very solid and we love relatively new issues that breakout from bases to new highs as they can run for quite some time. Earnings in March.
Volume: 876.414K Avg Volume: 337K
BUY POINT: $10.36 Volume=506K Target=$12.55 Stop=$9.63
POSITION: TQD GB - July $10c (59 delta) &/or Stock

SUBSCRIBER PORTFOLIO: These are stocks subscribers suggest by vote that we put in a portfolio to track and move into the stocks if they set up well.
AVID, COH, DIS, GTRC, KKD, LPNT, OCR, TGT, UTSI, XMSR
AVID: Holding over the 10 day MVA, forming a nice base at the 50 day MVA.
LPNT: Very nice, low volume test of the breakout, holding over the 10 day MVA.
SUBSCRIBER WATCHLIST
We continually receive ideas for potential plays from our subscribers. Many times they are already on our watchlists, other times not. We always take a look at them and sometimes find a few pearls. We are including subscriber choices that could develop into plays. We are not necessarily endorsing these, but want to provide a forum for subscribers with ideas that may appeal to their portfolio. Typically we will put these on without commentary, but if we see something we really like or dislike we will point it out. That way we can maybe come up with some new plays, find some plays that may fit your style, and have another great educational tool to discuss problems or good aspects about stocks our subscribers are looking at.
ITIG: Working laterally over the 10 day MVA, testing a super breakout to start the month.
RDWR; Moving up the 10 day MVA in a nice uptrend but a bit extended to buy at this time.
Downside:
ANT: Gapped below the 200 day MVA and looks to be failing a lower volume test.
Good Investing!
