Begin part 3 of 3

THE PLAYS

Good movers Friday: AKS; BKI; BRKT; GLDN; MRBA; NSM; NSS; ONCY; OS; RITA; SBUX; WOOF; FITB

Thursday night play results:
BKI: Nice volume break higher.
ENDP: Tested intraday and rebounded on lower though still strong trade.
PTEN: Rallied some but still below the 50 day MVA.

New plays for Monday:

Upside:

Play Date: 04/03/2004
APCS (Alamosa Holdings--$6.21; +0.25; no options): Wireless communications
http://biz.yahoo.com/p/a/apcs.html
STATUS: Reverse head and shoulders. Friday volume was surging as APCS continued its move off of the 18 day MVA (5.67) and head for the breakout from its 6 week pattern. Accumulation is a stellar 6 to 0, indicating that even as the stock moved laterally and formed the base, money was moving into the stock. Money flow is running higher ahead of the stock and we are looking for APCS to continue the move and follow that money flow higher.
Volume: 2.361M Avg Volume: 1.25M
BUY POINT: $6.38 Volume=1.8M Target=$7.75 Stop=$5.93
POSITION: - Stock (no option chain)

Play Date: 04/03/2004
STHLY (Stet Hellas Telecom--$20.22; +0.52; no options): Foreign telecom services
http://biz.yahoo.com/p/s/sthly.html
STATUS: Breakout test. STHLY exploded higher 5 sessions back on heavy volume, breaking out from an 8 week ascending triangle base. Explosive move with tremendous money flow and a relative strength breakout, telling us that the stocks is performing better than the overall market. Looking for it to complete this test and then rebound on strong trade.
Volume: 332.848K Avg Volume: 272.316K
BUY POINT: $20.54 Volume=408K Target=$24.65 Stop=$19.12
POSITION: - Stock (no option chain)

Play Date: 04/03/2004
WBSN (Websense--$31.07; +1.08; optionable): Internet software & services
http://biz.yahoo.com/p/w/wbsn.html
STATUS: Double bottom w/handle. Starting the breakout move from its 9 week base, but it needs more volume. A very nice pattern sporting strong 3 to 1 accumulation. A top rated stock in sales and earnings and a great pattern to boot. Looking for the stock to continue the move and for some volume to show up. Want ot see the volume.
Volume: 230.346K Avg Volume: 377.307K
BUY POINT: $31.25 Volume=566K Target=$37.25 Stop=$29.06
POSITION: DQH GF - July $30c (61 delta) &/or Stock
http://www.investmenthouse.com/cd/wbsn.html

Continuing play at a new buy point.

Play Date: 04/03/2004
BRKT (Brooktrout Tech--$21.22; +1.37; optionable): networking and communication equipment
http://biz.yahoo.com/p/b/brkt.html
STATUS: Double bottom w/handle. This stock has performed well for us and has set up for the next move with the current 5 week pattern. Friday the stock was making the next breakout move on rising, above average volume, breaking out of the short handle that formed over the 18 day MVA (19.41). The stock showed its strength as it held the 50 day MVA (18.17) in the lows of the pattern; that 50 day is a key institutional support level. Money flow is jumping up ahead of price and relative strength is making a breakout. Solid 2 to 0 accumulation in the base.
Volume: 260.498K Avg Volume: 192.402K
BUY POINT: $21.38 Volume=289K Target=$25.65 Stop=$19.88
POSITION: BUQ GD - July $20c (64 delta) &/or Stock

SUBSCRIBER PORTFOLIO: These are stocks subscribers suggest by vote that we put in a portfolio to track and move into the stocks if they perform well. If you have any suggestions for additions or deletions, email us. We don't cover them all each report, just when something interesting is developing.

Dropping AVID, KKD, UTSI.

COH, DIS, EBAY, GTRC, HD, LPNT, OCR, TGT, TJX, XMSR

TJX: Gapping higher on strong trade Friday. Could be the start of a breakaway move.

XMSR: Gave us the high volume breakaway move!

SUBSCRIBER WATCHLIST

We continually receive ideas for potential plays from subscribers. Many times they are already on our watchlists, other times not. We always take a look and sometimes find a gem or two, or more. We don't necessarily endorse these, but want to provide a forum for subscribers with ideas that may appeal to other subscribers. We may just put on the ticker or we might describe our thoughts as to why or why not we think it is a buy or sell. This is a way we can all learn a bit more and maybe find a few more candidates to make us some good money.

Upside:

EPEX: Oil and gas stock that is working through a 4 week triangle after breaking higher. Thursday it sold hard on volume but managed to recover form further selling Friday and post a gain. Still holding the pattern, and if oil stocks can get over this hiccup it is well set up.

SPAB: Working laterally the past month over the 18 day MVA after breaking out of a 7 week flat base to start March. Trying to start the next move.
