Begin part 3 of 3

THE PLAYS

Good movers Monday: IRGI; NAVR; RDEN; RWY; VXGN

Weekend play results:
CKC: Still working in the nice pullback to form the handle.
RDEN: Excellent volume surge as the stock breaks higher.
SNTS: Gapped higher but rolled over too hard for our liking.
BG: Rolled over a bit early and volume backed off. Still in decent shape, but would like a better test. If it fades below 36 on strong volume we will go ahead.

New plays for Tuesday:

Upside:

Play Date: 05/03/2004
CYTO (Cytogen--$14.78; +0.30; no options): Diagnostic substances
http://biz.yahoo.com/p/c/cyto.html
STATUS: Breakout test. Broke out from a 13 week cup base two weeks back, rallied to 16, and is now testing the move. Has come back to the 10 day EMA (14.53) on lower and lower volume, holding that level Friday and Monday, showing a doji at that level Monday. Excellent money flow and super 4 to 1 accumulation (4 up price weeks on rising volume to 1 down price week on rising volume), showing us that money has moved into the stock even as it based. Formed the base over the 200 day SMA (11.58), a sign that institutions stepped in to support it.
Volume: 124.751K Avg Volume: 90.272K
BUY POINT: $15.28 Volume=150K Target=$18.35 Stop=$14.21
POSITION: - Stock (no option chain)

Play Date: 05/03/2004
NR (Newpark Resources--$5.88; +0.15; no options): Oil and gas services
http://biz.yahoo.com/p/n/nr.html
STATUS: Cup w/handle. Volume is jumping as NR jumps off the 50 day EMA (5.38) and heads for the breakout from the 12 month base. Excellent 15 to 7 accumulation in the pattern, showing that money moved in as the stock moved laterally. Excellent money flow shooting higher ahead of the price. Looking for the volume to continues its strong move as NR continues the breakout. With oil at $37/bbl that makes drilling wells and servicing old wells much more economically feasible.
Volume: 637.8K Avg Volume: 354.136K
BUY POINT: $6.02 Volume=600K Target=$7.32 Stop=$5.61
POSITION: - Stock (no option chain)

Play Date: 05/03/2004
USPI (United Surgical--$37.51; +1.29; optionable): Health services
http://biz.yahoo.com/p/u/uspi.html
STATUS: Cup. Surging higher off a 50 day EMA (35.12) as volume races higher. Money flow is surging and relative strength is ready for the breakout, an indication that the stock is outperforming the rest of the market. While most stocks sold off on hard volume last week, USPI eased back to the 50 day and then jumped higher on surging, above average volume. Looking for it to continue the move on volume for us to move in.
Volume: 1.124M Avg Volume: 246.636K
BUY POINT: $38.55 Volume=370K Target=$44 Stop=$37.12
POSITION: QPJ HU - Aug. $37.50c (54 delta) &/or Stock

SUBSCRIBER PORTFOLIO: These are stocks subscribers suggest by vote that we put in a portfolio to track and move into the stocks if they perform well. If you have any suggestions for additions or deletions, email us. We don't cover them all each report, just when something interesting is developing.

COH, DIS, EBAY, GTRC, HD, LPNT, OCR, TGT, TJX, XMSR

EBAY: Making the bounce after that overdone and unwarranted selling last week because of the Google IPO.

HD: Testing the 200 day SMA with a big doji. Needs to hold and bounce here.

LPNT: Volume jumping, stock breaking out. Just what you want.

SUBSCRIBER WATCHLIST

We continually receive ideas for potential plays from subscribers. Many times they are already on our watchlists, other times not. We always take a look and sometimes find a gem or two, or more. We don't necessarily endorse these, but want to provide a forum for subscribers with ideas that may appeal to other subscribers. We may just put on the ticker or we might describe our thoughts as to why or why not we think it is a buy or sell. This is a way we can all learn a bit more and maybe find a few more candidates to make us some good money.

Upside:

HUBG: Strong surge in April, tested back to end that month, and now trying to continue the move after that pause.

ULGX: Super breakout in late April, rallied to 13, and is now testing on lower volume. Dumped pretty good Monday, but volume was still fairly low. May take another day or two to catch its breath.

Downside:

ENR: Here is one we spotted as well over the weekend and it set up even better today.
ENR (Energrizer Holdings--$43.77; +0.47; optionable): Batteries
http://biz.yahoo.com/p/e/enr.html
STATUS: Put. Broke through the 50 day EMA (45.03) last week and has spent the past three sessions rallying back up to test the breakdown, but volume has backed down lower and lower as it bounces. That is a typical low volume bounce, and we are looking for it to fail at the 50 day and then roll back over on some rising trade.
Volume: 475.8K Avg Volume: 358.136K
BUY POINT: $44.48 Volume=500K Target=$42 Stop=$45.25
POSITION: ENR RI - June $45p (-64 delta)
