THE PLAYS
Monday night play results:
CYTO: Wild action but holding the pattern.
NR: Lower volume pullback. Still a nice pattern.
USPI: Took a breather on some very low volume.
New plays for Wednesday:
Upside:
Play Date: 05/04/2004
FIX (Comfort Systems--$7.20; +0.21; no options): HVAC installation and repair
http://biz.yahoo.com/p/f/fix.html
STATUS: Flat base. Nice 7 week flat base that formed over the 50 day EMA (6.98). Went through a shakeout early in the week as it dipped below the 50 day but then rebounded immediately. Solid 3 to 0 accumulation (3 up price weeks on rising volume to 0 down price weeks on rising volume) in the base, setting up a good foundation for the breakout as money moved into the stock as it based. Looks ready for the next move with strong money flow and relative strength ready for the breakout.
Volume: 236.3K Avg Volume: 149.5K
BUY POINT: $7.55 Volume=224K Target=$9.38 Stop=$7.05
POSITION: - Stock (no option chain)

Play Date: 05/04/2004
ULGX (Urologix--$11.66; +0.44; no options): Medical appliances
http://biz.yahoo.com/p/u/ulgx.html
STATUS: Breakout test. Another medical stock that exploded out of its base, rallied, and has come back to test the move on lower volume. Big volume as ULGX broke from its 11 week flat base in mid-April. Positive accumulation and some huge money flow set up the breakout and run. Relative strength broke out on the move and has held up very well during the test the past week. That indicates it is still outperforming the market and ready for the next breakout move. The first test of the breakout is one of our favorite entry points as it 'proves up' the breakout and still gives us plenty of upside as stocks tend to make 4 to 5 bounces off the 10 or 18 day EMA before coming back for a deeper test.
Volume: 276.558K Avg Volume: 151.909K
BUY POINT: $11.92 Volume=228K Target=$14.12 Stop=$11.09
POSITION: - Stock (no option chain)

WMB (Williams Companies--$10.86; +0.36; optionable): Oil and gas
http://biz.yahoo.com/p/w/wmb.html
STATUS: Cup w/handle. Nice volume as WMB breaks out from a 14 week base sporting outstanding 7 to 1 accumulation. The stock held the 200 day SMA (9.49) as it formed the base, an important institutional support level. Ready to step into positions on a further volume move. Another good looking oil sector stock.
Volume: 6.648M Avg Volume: 3.589M
BUY POINT: $10.96 Volume=5.4M Target=$13.15 Stop=$10.22
POSITION: WMB HB - Aug. $10c (71 delta) &/or Stock

SUBSCRIBER PORTFOLIO: These are stocks subscribers suggest by vote that we put in a portfolio to track and move into the stocks if they perform well. If you have any suggestions for additions or deletions, email us. We don't cover them all each report, just when something interesting is developing.
COH, DIS, EBAY, GTRC, HD, LPNT, OCR, TGT, TJX, XMSR
COH: Still like the look as it works laterally over the 18 day EMA, testing the strong move two weeks back.
SUBSCRIBER WATCHLIST
We continually receive ideas for potential plays from subscribers. Many times they are already on our watchlists, other times not. We always take a look and sometimes find a gem or two, or more. We don't necessarily endorse these, but want to provide a forum for subscribers with ideas that may appeal to other subscribers. We may just put on the ticker or we might describe our thoughts as to why or why not we think it is a buy or sell. This is a way we can all learn a bit more and maybe find a few more candidates to make us some good money.
Upside:
IFUL: Nice 8 week triangle that formed over the 50 day EMA. Just needs some more volume.
LNY: Nice break higher to end the month and now stalling some. Looking for a pullback to test the 10 day EMA at 32ish as a good entry point.
Downside:
IWOV: Coming up to test the 10 day EMA. When that is done it looks ready to continue its downtrend.
Good Investing!
