THE PLAYS
Monday night play results:
DYAX: Adverse FDA ruling tanked it.
RHB: Still looking very good in the pattern.
TWW: Tried the move on huge volume but faded.
BRCM: Nice volume move.
New plays for Wednesday:
Upside:
Play Date: 05/25/2004
ACLS (Axcelis Technologies--$12.01; +0.68; optionable): Chip equipment
http://biz.yahoo.com/p/a/acls.html
STATUS: Cup. Volume was up and above average as ACLS started to move over the April high (12.09) in its 17 week base. We looked at this one in early May, but it faded. It held the 200 day and started to recover, volume starting higher the past week. Excellent money flow is surging ahead of price. Ready for more.
Volume: 1.468M Avg Volume: 1.235M
BUY POINT: $12.21 Volume=1.9M Target=$14 Stop=$11.36
POSITION: ULS JB - Oct. $10c (75 delta) &/or Stock

Play Date: 05/25/2004
CEN (Ceridian--$22.39; +1.01; optionable): Business software
http://biz.yahoo.com/p/c/cen.html
STATUS: Cup w/handle. Surging on strong volume Tuesday as CEN jumped off of the 50 day EMA (21.22), ready to breakout from its 18 week base. Outstanding 7 to 1 accumulation in the base (7 up price weeks on rising volume to 1 down price week on rising volume). Money has been moving in as it based, and now it looks to pay off with a strong breakout. Money flow is surging as well, moving higher ahead of price. Ready for the breakout.
Volume: 1.09M Avg Volume: 705.181K
BUY POINT: $22.58 Volume=1.1M Target=$26 Stop=$21.45
POSITION: CEN KX - Oct. $22.50c (54 delta) &/or Stock

Play Date: 05/25/2004
VRSN (Verisign--$18.64; +0.29; optionable): Internet software
http://biz.yahoo.com/p/v/vrsn.html
STATUS: Double bottom w/handle. It has been a long time since we looked at VRSN, but it has formed up well into a 17 week base sporting solid 6 to 3 accumulation. It used the 200 day SMA (16.34) as support on the two legs, a sign of institutional support. Volume surged as it moved off of the second low as money started moving in. Traded eased last week as it slid back to form a better handle, but it jumped back above average Tuesday as VRSN started toward the breakout. Looks solid, but as always, need to see the breakout.
Volume: 3.554M Avg Volume: 2.585M
BUY POINT: $18.92 Volume=3.9M Target=$22.65 Stop=$17.62
POSITION: QVR IW - Sept. $17.50c (71 delta) &/or Stock

Continuing upside plays:
SUBSCRIBER PORTFOLIO: These are stocks subscribers suggest by vote that we put in a portfolio to track and move into the stocks if they perform well. If you have any suggestions for additions or deletions, email us. We don't cover them all each report, just when something interesting is developing.
ALDN, BRCM, CECO, COH, DNA, EBAY, GTRC, LPNT, TGT
Some sweet moves Tuesday.
COH: Gapped over the 50 day EMA Monday, but could use some more volume.
LPNT: Could use more volume but a solid move off the 18 day, and we anticipate volume will come in.
SUBSCRIBER WATCHLIST
We continually receive ideas for potential plays from subscribers. Many times they are already on our watchlists, other times not. We always take a look and sometimes find a gem or two, or more. We don't necessarily endorse these, but want to provide a forum for subscribers with ideas that may appeal to other subscribers. We may just put on the ticker or we might describe our thoughts as to why or why not we think it is a buy or sell. This is a way we can all learn a bit more and maybe find a few more candidates to make us some good money.
Upside:
DRIV: Nice breakout last week, struggled Monday, and surging again, continuing the breakout move Tuesday on strong trade. Very nice.
Good Investing!
