THE PLAYS

Tuesday night play results:
ASE: Moving well on strong volume early, but gave much of the move back.
SEMI: Rallied on higher volume but was all over the place so we held off.
MACE: Volume was up, but after gapping higher MACE gave the move back. Still solid.

New plays for Thursday:

Upside:

Play Date: 06/09/2004
CCI (Crown Castle Intl.--$14.81; -0.22; optionable): Telecom services
http://biz.yahoo.com/p/c/cci.html
STATUS: Reverse head and shoulders. A very nice 8 week base formed mostly over the 50 day EMA (14.05), a good sign of institutional support. Solid 2 to 1 accumulation in the pattern with money flow moving higher ahead of price. Looks ripe for a breakout, easing back from the highs at 15.20 at the neckline on low volume.
Volume: 847K Avg Volume: 1.305M
BUY POINT: $15.38 Volume=2M Target=$17.69 Stop=$14.44
POSITION: CCI JC - Oct. $15c (51 delta) &/or Stock

Play Date: 06/09/2004
CSTR (Coinstar--$18.75; -0.15; optionable): Automated self-service coin counting machines
http://biz.yahoo.com/p/c/cstr.html
STATUS: Cup w/handle. CSTR made us some great money in 2001 and 2002 before running out of steam and correcting big time the past two years. It now looks as if it is preparing to start its next series of moves off of this correction with the current 16 week base sporting excellent 5 to 1 accumulation. After a solid volume move up to form the right side of the base, it is now easing back to form the handle, holding over the 18 day EMA (18.20). Strong money flow is leading ahead of price, and after this pullback is completed, it looks ready to move higher for the breakout.
Volume: 193.041K Avg Volume: 491.772K
BUY POINT: $19.55 Volume=738K Target=$22.48 Stop=$18.32
POSITION: QLR JD - Oct. $20c (48 delta) &/or Stock

Play Date: 06/09/2004
LGF (Lions Gate Entertainment--$6.69; +0.09; optionable): Movie production, theaters
http://biz.yahoo.com/p/l/lgf.html
STATUS: Ascending triangle. LGF has just made a higher low in its 14 week base, holding the 18 day EMA (6.47) and turning up toward the breakout point. It has been using the 50 day EMA (6.25) as it made higher and higher lows in its base, and this higher low at an upper support level often indicates it is ready to try the breakout move. Very strong 5 to 1 accumulation in the base has set up the breakout. Now all it needs to do is make the move.
Volume: 468K Avg Volume: 540.5K
BUY POINT: $6.98 Volume=700K Target=$8.42 Stop=$6.49
POSITION: LGF IA - Sept. $5c (97 delta) &/or Stock

SUBSCRIBER PORTFOLIO: These are stocks subscribers suggest by vote that we put in a portfolio to track and move into the stocks if they perform well. If you have any suggestions for additions or deletions, email us. We don't cover them all each report, just when something interesting is developing.

ALDN, BRCM, CECO, COH, DNA, EBAY, GTRC, LPNT, TGT

DNA: Diving lower below support. Will need a base to set back up for another breakout.

COH: A weak move back up to resistance at 45 on lower volume could be trouble.

SUBSCRIBER WATCHLIST

We continually receive ideas for potential plays from subscribers. Many times they are already on our watchlists, other times not. We always take a look and sometimes find a gem or two, or more. We don't necessarily endorse these, but want to provide a forum for subscribers with ideas that may appeal to other subscribers. We may just put on the ticker or we might describe our thoughts as to why or why not we think it is a buy or sell. This is a way we can all learn a bit more and maybe find a few more candidates to make us some good money.

Upside:

TACT: Making a test of the 18 day EMA after surging off the 50 day EMA to start May. It made the test and is trying to make the rebound, but volume has not moved back up yet.
