We apologize for the late delivery. We experienced data errors and had to double check all by hand.
THE PLAYS
Good movers Wednesday: DO; PETD; SBAC; WITS; ANN; ARW; VSH; PTEK; PXLW
Tuesday night play results:
AVL: Gapped higher on the open but was selling most of the session. Needs to fill gap.
NTMD: Holding solid in the pattern.
TEK: Looks ready to roll lower.
New plays for Thursday:
Upside:
Play Date: 09/08/2004
AH (Armor Holdings--$36.73; +0.07; optionable): Body armor
http://biz.yahoo.com/p/a/ah.html
STATUS: Double bottom w/handle. AH I working on a 3 week handle to its 13 week base sporting outstanding 5 to 1 accumulation. That indicates a lot of ongoing buying in the pattern, setting up the foundation for a good breakout. Money flow is solid, starting to move higher ahead of price as the stock moves laterally. Looking for strong volume as it moves through the buy point.
Volume: 388.4K Avg Volume: 690.181K
BUY POINT: $37.58 Volume=1M Target=$42.75 Stop=$36.45
POSITION: AH KG - Nov. $35c (69 delta) &/or Stock

Play Date: 09/08/2004
LSS (Lone Star Technologies--$32.84; +0.03; optionable): Oil and gas equipment, services
http://biz.yahoo.com/p/l/lss.html
STATUS: Cup w/handle. A nice 7 week base has formed over the 50 day EMA (29.46). Solid 3 to 1 accumulation in the pattern shows net buyers moving in while it takes a breather. Money flow continues at a solid pace. Volume has started to move back up the past week as it has formed the right side of the base. This lateral move is setting up the breakout. Ant to see volume surge as it makes the break higher.
Volume: 429K Avg Volume: 505.818K
BUY POINT: $33.64 Volume=759K Target=$38.72 Stop=$32.68
POSITION: LSS KF - Nov. $30c (74 delta) &/or Stock

Downside:
Play Date: 09/08/2004
AAI (Airtran Holdings--$11.29; -0.85; optionable): Regional airlines
http://biz.yahoo.com/p/a/aai.html
After Hours: $11.30
STATUS: Put. Might be a future shot of the NASDAQ. Bounced off the August lows, rallied over the 50 day EMA (11.85) but below its 200 day SMA. Moved laterally for a couple of weeks and then tanked below the 50 day on volume. Weak and looking to head lower toward the August low (9.70). Looking for a nice 52%ish gain.
Volume: 3.224M Avg Volume: 1.406M
BUY POINT: $11.15 Volume=1.4M Target=$9.95 Stop=$11.42
POSITION: AAI VV - Oct. $12.50p (-74 delta)

Play Date: 09/08/2004
SYY (Sysco--$32.73; -0.56; optionable): Wholesale food
http://biz.yahoo.com/p/s/syy.html
STATUS: Put. After trending down the 10 and 18 day EMA (32.62, 32.68) since June, SYYS came up for air in the recent rally, rising back up near the 50 day EMA (33.84). It rolled over on much sharper volume Wednesday as DF warned. The food industry has not been super of late. It came to rest on the 10 and 18 day EMA at the close. Looking for it break through that support level and move down for a 45%ish gain.
Volume: 4.066M Avg Volume: 2.186M
BUY POINT: $32.55 Volume=2.2M Target=$31 Stop=$32.78
POSITION: SYY VF - Oct. $30p (-78 delta)

SUBSCRIBER PORTFOLIO: These are stocks subscribers suggest by vote that we put in a portfolio to track and move into the stocks if they perform well. If you have any suggestions for additions or deletions, email us. We don't cover them all each report, just when something interesting is developing.
BR, COH, EASI, EBAY, GMAI, GTRC, HDWR, JNPR, MSFT, QCOM
HDWR: Announced an acquisition and the market did not like it.
COH: Reported strong sales and continued its move higher.
EBAY: Forming a new handle just below the June high as it sets up for another breakout point.
SUBSCRIBER WATCHLIST
We continually receive ideas for potential plays from subscribers. Many times they are already on our watchlists, other times not. We always take a look and sometimes find a gem or two, or more. We don't necessarily endorse these, but want to provide a forum for subscribers with ideas that may appeal to other subscribers. We may just put on the ticker or we might describe our thoughts as to why or why not we think it is a buy or sell. This is a way we can all learn a bit more and maybe find a few more candidates to make us some good money.
Upside:
BBX: We watched this one for quite awhile in its cup with handle; a long, long handle. Tuesday it surged higher but volume was not that great. Wednesday it sold back on some stronger volume. Not exactly what you want to see right after a breakout move attempt.
Good Investing!
