THE PLAYS
Good movers Thursday: DO; LSS; PETD; SERO; SKX; WITS; YUM; ERES
Wednesday night play results:
AH: Working laterally still.
LSS: Nice break higher on strong volume.
AAI: Gapped lower on continued strong volume.
SYY: Doji at the 18 day EMA.
New plays for Friday:
Upside:
Play Date: 09/09/2004
RAE (Rae Systems--$5.99; +0.31; optionable): Rapid deployment multi-sensor chemical detection monitors
http://biz.yahoo.com/p/r/rae.html
STATUS: Cup w/handle. Volume has started to race higher the past week as RAE forms a small handle to its 5 month base sporting strong 7 to 3 accumulation and surging money flow that is racing ahead of price. Very strong with relative strength showing a positive divergence, ready to breakout; a bullish indicator. Very good looking.
Volume: 616.5K Avg Volume: 323.905K
BUY POINT: $6.12 Volume=486K Target=$7.42 Stop=$5.78
POSITION: RAE LA - Dec. $5c (78 delta) &/or Stock

Play Date: 09/09/2004
SYMM (Symmetricom--$9.50; +0.62; no options): Telecom equipment
http://biz.yahoo.com/p/s/symm.html
After Hours: $9.50
STATUS: Double bottom. Volume jumped Tuesday and Thursday as SYMM started the breakout move from its 8 month base. Strong 10 to 4 accumulation in the pattern shows solid buying during the base and has set up the breakout and run. Money flow is surging ahead of price. Telecom is one of the better sectors for tech, and looking to jump onto this move as it continues on some good volume.
Volume: 602.78K Avg Volume: 224.753K
BUY POINT: $9.62 Volume=337K Target=$11.55 Stop=$9.25
POSITION: - Stock (no option chain)

Downside:
Play Date: 09/09/2004
ACDO (Accredo Health--$24.6; +1.01; optionable): Specialized healthcare
http://biz.yahoo.com/p/a/acdo.html
After Hours: $24.56
STATUS: Put. ACDO has made a low volume rebound from a massive gap down to end August. The move this month has taken the stock back to the 18 day EMA (24.77); it broke through that level Thursday on strong volume, but then reversed to close below it. This has the look of a reversal session after the low volume rebound. It has also filled the gap from late August. This follows a long drop starting in early July. In short, ACDO is weak. Money flow remains in the tank and the stock has been under heavy distribution. Looking for a nice 60%ish gain at the target.
Volume: 2.077M Avg Volume: 986.828K
BUY POINT: $23.88 Volume=1.1M Target=$21.75 Stop=$24.22
POSITION: DZU VE - Oct. $25p (-53 delta)

SUBSCRIBER PORTFOLIO: These are stocks subscribers suggest by vote that we put in a portfolio to track and move into the stocks if they perform well. If you have any suggestions for additions or deletions, email us. We don't cover them all each report, just when something interesting is developing.
BR, COH, EASI, EBAY, GMAI, GTRC, HDWR, JNPR, MSFT, QCOM
BR: Trying to make the breakout from an 8 week base. Needs some volume.
GTRC: Volume is surging the past two sessions as GTRC tries to make the move off of the 50 day EMA.
HDWR: Strong rebound from the Wednesday selling on news of the acquisition. Strong comeback.
SUBSCRIBER WATCHLIST
We continually receive ideas for potential plays from subscribers. Many times they are already on our watchlists, other times not. We always take a look and sometimes find a gem or two, or more. We don't necessarily endorse these, but want to provide a forum for subscribers with ideas that may appeal to other subscribers. We may just put on the ticker or we might describe our thoughts as to why or why not we think it is a buy or sell. This is a way we can all learn a bit more and maybe find a few more candidates to make us some good money.
Upside:
SPRT: In a three week, very tight, lateral move over the 18 day EMA after coming off the bottom of its 8 month base. Below the 200 day SMA at 11. If it powers through that level on volume, not a bad entry point.
Downside:
VASC: Turning down once more on strong volume after falling through the 200 day SMA and trying to hold up.
Good Investing!
