THE PLAYS
Good movers Thursday: CRA; EBAY; MONE; NTAP; KLIC
Wednesday night play results:
SOX: Rallied but gave the move back. Will be in rally move Friday.
ACXM: Took a lower volume breather.
FL: Took the day off after a strong Wednesday move.
TLCV: Gapped higher but then faded the rest of the session. Still in the pattern.
New Plays:
Upside:
Play Date: 12/02/2004
LMRA (Lumera--$8.02; -0.11; no options): Nanotechnology applications for wireless and optical communications networks
http://biz.yahoo.com/p/l/lmra.html
STATUS: Double bottom w/handle. A new issue in July LMRA rallied to 9 in the start of November and then slipped into the current 5 week base. It has held above the 50 day EMA (7.30) during the consolidation as volume went dormant. Good sign of accumulation versus selling. Accumulation is positive at 2 to 1. Volume spiked Monday and then backed off as it moved laterally. Getting ready for the next move.

MALL (PC Mall--$24.00; +1.04; optionable): PC hardware, software, electronics, consumer products direct marketer.
http://biz.yahoo.com/p/m/mall.html
STATUS: Breakout test. MALL blasted out of a 7.5 month cup with handle base in mid-November, rallying on strong volume. This week it ahs come back to test the move, finding support at the 10 day EMA (23) Wednesday on low volume, then rebounding Thursday on much stronger trade. Solid 9 to 6 accumulation in the base set up the move, and strong money flow is leading the way higher. Looks like a successful breakout test and is now ready to resume the rally higher.
Volume: 523.043K Avg Volume: 199.727K
BUY POINT: $24.36 Volume=300K Target=$28.95 Stop=$22.97
POSITION: QGS CE - Mar. $25c (51 delta) &/or Stock

Play Date: 12/02/2004
MYGN (Myriad Genetics--$20.11; +0.40; optionable): Diagnostic substances
http://biz.yahoo.com/p/m/mygn.html
STATUS: Test breakout. Volume has surged this week as MYGN has moved off the test of the 50 day EMA (18.12) that also served as the support on the test of the breakout from its 7 month cup with handle base. Volume is surging along with the price, and relative strength is ready to make the breakout once more, a good corroboration of the move. Outstanding 10 to 1 accumulation in the base shows nothing but buyers. It has been a long, deep decline for MYGN, and this base is the first solid base off of the lows. Plenty of room to run.
Volume: 562.63K Avg Volume: 313.687K
BUY POINT: $20.35 Volume=450K Target=$24.25 Stop=$19.19
POSITION: GSQ ED - May. $20c (57 delta) &/or Stock

Current plays that look ready to move:
APCS is ready for more.
FSL is ready to rock tomorrow after the INTC news
MRVC: May take off now given the INTC news.
CRA is starting to run again.
SUBSCRIBER PORTFOLIO: These are stocks subscribers suggest by vote that we put in a portfolio to track and move into the stocks if they perform well. If you have any suggestions for additions or deletions, email us. We don't cover them all each report, just when something interesting is developing.
BR, COH, EASI, EBAY, GTRC, HDWR, JNPR, MSFT, QCOM
GTRC: Tightening up after the nice break higher to end November.
HDWR: Broke below the 50 day EMA on strong volume. Needs to hold and recover.
MSFT: Tomorrow is the ex-date and we will see if it drops anywhere near $3. If it does, that will probably be a chance to pick up some more shares before they turn back up.
SUBSCRIBER WATCHLIST
We continually receive ideas for potential plays from subscribers. Many times they are already on our watchlists, other times not. We always take a look and sometimes find a gem or two, or more. We don't necessarily endorse these, but want to provide a forum for subscribers with ideas that may appeal to other subscribers. We may just put on the ticker or we might describe our thoughts as to why or why not we think it is a buy or sell. This is a way we can all learn a bit more and maybe find a few more candidates to make us some good money.
Upside:
LMIA: Exploded higher in mid-November, moving to 8. It has now tested back to the 10 day EMA on lower volume, showing a doji Thursday. May be ready to resume an amazing momentum move.
