Begin part 3 of 3

THE PLAYS

Good movers Monday: ATSN; BWLD; FARO; GYI; MNDO; PWAV

Weekend play results:
ACMR: Volume fell sharply & the stock paused after that strong Friday move toward the handle breakout.
AXYX: going the wrong way on rising trade.
FARO: Nice continuation of the Friday break higher.
FLO: Still in the nice breakout test.

New Plays:

Upside:

Play Date: 12/13/2004
CBST (Cubist Pharmaceuticals--$12.69; +0.53; optionable): Drugs
http://biz.yahoo.com/p/c/cbst.html
After Hours: $12.61
STATUS: Double bottom w/handle. Working laterally over the 18 day EMA (12.02) in the three week handle to its 11 month base. Solid 12 to 7 accumulation in the pattern (12 up price weeks on rising volume to 7 down price weeks on rising volume) shows net buyers during the pattern and setting up the foundation for a breakout. Strong money flow is surging ahead of the stock price even as it moves laterally, a good positive divergence that we expect CBST to follow. Volume has yet to jump on this move, something we want to see as it makes the breakout.
Volume: 491.545K Avg Volume: 545.409K
BUY POINT: $12.95 Volume=818K Target=$15.75 Stop=$12.04
POSITION: UTU EV - May. $12.50c (59 delta) &/or Stock

Play Date: 12/13/2004
CRIS (Curis--$5.17; +0.21; optionable): Biotechnology
http://biz.yahoo.com/p/c/cris.html
STATUS: Test breakout. CRIS blasted higher on strong volume early this month, breaking out from a 7 month reverse head and shoulders base that was the tail end of a longer 10.5 month base. Money flow is surging higher ahead of price, and after a modest, low volume lateral move to end last week it took off Monday on a shot of strong above average volume. Excellent money flow is leading higher, and this looks like a successful test of the breakout.
Volume: 633.766K Avg Volume: 313.363K
BUY POINT: $5.32 Volume=470K Target=$6.65 Stop=$4.98
POSITION: UUX CA - Mar. $5c (61 delta) &/or Stock

Play Date: 12/13/2004
ROV (Rayovac--$30.22; +0.25; optionable): Batteries, etc.
http://biz.yahoo.com/p/r/rov.html
STATUS: Breakout test. Taking another look at ROV as it comes off the 18 day EMA (29.32) on rising, above average volume. This follows the breakout from a 17 week double bottom with handle base that formed right after a short 14 week cup; good base-on-base pattern that really shakes out the weak holders. Strong 9 to 5 accumulation in the base set up the breakout. Now it has made the test and volume is rising as the stock rebounds; that is exactly what you want to see. Looking to move into positions on a continued move through the buy point on more strong trade.
Volume: 442.8K Avg Volume: 357.318K
BUY POINT: $30.55 Volume=450K Target=$36.75 Stop=$29.75
POSITION: ROV CF - Mar. $30c (57 delta) &/or Stock

Continuing ready to move again:

Play Date: 11/15/2004
ASPM (Aspect Medical--$23.65; +0.18; no options):
http://biz.yahoo.com/p/a/aspm.html
After Hours: *
STATUS: Test 18 day EMA. Volume jumped back up Monday after as ASPM continues the test of the 18 day EMA (23). This is the second test of that support level following the early November breakout. Looking for a move through 24 on continued strong trade to add positions or take new positions.
Volume: 221.693K Avg Volume: 140.272K
BUY POINT: New: $24.11 (orig. positions: $21.25) Volume=150K Target=$29Stop=$22.89
POSITION: - Stock (no option chain)

SUBSCRIBER PORTFOLIO: These are stocks subscribers suggest by vote that we put in a portfolio to track and move into the stocks if they perform well. If you have any suggestions for additions or deletions, email us. We don't cover them all each report, just when something interesting is developing.

BR, COH, EASI, EBAY, GTRC, HDWR, JNPR, MSFT, QCOM

COH: Man. Screaming higher after that tight lateral move last week.

EBAY: Gettign ready to break higher from this two week lateral move.

MSFT: Nice little triangle the past 4 weeks to cap a nice breakout from its 4 month base in early November. Volume was up. Getting ready for the break through resistance at 27.50.

SUBSCRIBER WATCHLIST

We continually receive ideas for potential plays from subscribers. Many times they are already on our watchlists, other times not. We always take a look and sometimes find a gem or two, or more. We don't necessarily endorse these, but want to provide a forum for subscribers with ideas that may appeal to other subscribers. We may just put on the ticker or we might describe our thoughts as to why or why not we think it is a buy or sell. This is a way we can all learn a bit more and maybe find a few more candidates to make us some good money.

Upside:

WYNN: Showing strong volume the past few sessions as it starts the breakout from a short 5 week base. Has made us money before and is ready to run again. It has no casino in Vegas, just plans to build a big one.

TSRA: Working laterally the past four weeks after gapping higher in mid-November. Nice low volume consolidation and now showing strong trade (except for Monday).
