Stocks had edged higher in last hour, trying to rally but now fading into close w/modest losses (0.2% NASD, 0.3% SP500) though SP600, SOX sporting steeper losses (0.7% each). Volume very light (1.3B NASD, 812M NYSE), A/D modestly negative (-1.3:1 NYSE, -1.2:1 NASD). Light volume allows modest buying or selling to push indexes around, & that is what we are seeing into the close.
