JAH (Jarden--$47.11; +1.18; optionable): Consumer products (Coleman, Diamond, First Alert, Ball, etc.). Forecast to announce a split 4-28-05.
BACKGROUND: Last announced a 3:2 split on 10-31-03 at a price of $41.50.

STATUS: Double bottom w/handle. Volume jumped Wednesday as JAH ran toward the breakout point of its 8 week pattern that formed roughly around the 50 day EMA (44.65), using that key support level to set up. Strong 4 to 2 accumulation in the base (4 up price weeks on rising volume to 2 down price weeks on rising volume) shows net buying and has set up the breakout move. Looks super.

STATUS: Cup w/handle. This one could still become a split play for us, but regardless, it is in a great pattern. Volume was back up to average Wednesday as OSG started toward the breakout from its 17 week base. The handle to the pattern is a nice little 5 week double bottom with handle itself, a pattern within a pattern. The handle used the 50 day EMA (61) as support, setting up the breakout move. Positive 5 to 4 accumulation shows net buyers. Ready for a breakout and a new all-time high.
