THE PLAYS
Good movers: ABRX; ASPM; SMRT; TKTX; TSCO;
Monday night play results:
DOX: Volume moved up to average as the stock is ready to breakout.
GLBL: Gapped higher but could not hold the move. Still looks ready to continue the breakout after this test.
FSH: Sold off but then reversed for a gain.
New Plays:
Upside:
Play Date: 04/12/2005
EFX (Equifax--$31.30; +0.53; optionable): Business management services
http://biz.yahoo.com/p/e/efx.html
STATUS: Flat base. Strong volume Tuesday as EFX moved toward the breakout from its 9 week base that formed on top of the 18 day EMA (30.76). Positive 2 to 1 accumulation (2 up price weeks on rising volume to 1 down price weeks on rising volume) shows net buyers in this base that consolidates a strong move higher to start February. Strong money flow is leading higher and relative strength broke out on the move, a good corroboration of the move higher. A breakout takes EFX to an all-time high where there is no resistance. A solid market leader.

JBX (Jack in the Box--$38.25; +0.59; optionable): Fast food restaurants.
http://biz.yahoo.com/p/j/jbx.html
STATUS: Cup w/handle. Jack is ready to jump out of the box (could not think of one of the commercials that would apply) as it works toward the breakout from the 6 week handle to its 16 week base. Strong 5 to 2 accumulation in the pattern shows plenty of buying as it consolidated, setting up the breakout. Volume has started to swell the past week as JBX eases toward the breakout point, a good sign of a pending breakout. It is an 'A+' rated stock in terms of sales, earnings and pattern. Ready for a breakout to an all-time high where it has some room to run.

BUY POINT: $38.55 Volume=413K Target=$44.48 Stop=$37.38

UTHR (United Therapeutics--$47.49; +1.75; optionable): Drugs
http://biz.yahoo.com/p/u/uthr.html
After Hours: $47.16
STATUS: Flat base. Nice volume Tuesday and Thursday as UTHR made solid up moves, moving it out of the pattern. A very solid 19 week base using the 50 day EMA (44.44) as support; that is where you want to see a strong stock hold up. Strong 6 to 3 accumulation in the pattern has set up the breakout, and it looks ready to follow the strong money flow higher. Relative strength broke out with the stock Tuesday, a good corroboration of the move. Ready to jump in on a further move on volume.
Volume: 580.51K Avg Volume: 399.863K
BUY POINT: $47.72 Volume=525K Target=$55 Stop=$46.35
POSITION: FUH HI - Aug. $45c (67 delta) &/or Stock

SUBSCRIBER PORTFOLIO: These are stocks subscribers suggest by vote that we put in a portfolio to track and move into the stocks if they perform well. If you have any suggestions for additions or deletions, email us. We don't cover them all each report, just when something interesting is developing.
AAPL, BLUD, BR, COH, HW, STN, TSRA
AAPL: Looks ready to run into earnings after this quick shakeout.
STN: Ready to move again off the 18 day EMA.
SUBSCRIBER WATCHLIST
We continually receive ideas for potential plays from subscribers. Many times they are already on our watchlists, other times not. We always take a look and sometimes find a gem or two, or more. We don't necessarily endorse these, but want to provide a forum for subscribers with ideas that may appeal to other subscribers. We may just put on the ticker or we might describe our thoughts as to why or why not we think it is a buy or sell. This is a way we can all learn a bit more and maybe find a few more candidates to make us some good money.
Upside:
UNH: A great leader that has made a quick pullback ahead of earnings and a likely split announcement. Tapped the 18 day EMA on the low and rebounded to close at the 10 day on rising volume.
SNHY: Nice pullback to test the strong breakout move to start March. Tuesday it tested below the 18 day EMA and rebounded to close above that level on strong volume.
Good Investing!
