THE PLAYS
Good movers: AYE; DJO; EFX; GME; EW; HANS; RVI; TZIX; BLL
Weekend play results:
QGEN: Sold back to the 18 day EMA on continued low volume, still working on the pattern.
RVI: Nice break higher on continued strong volume.
YHOO: Nice doji over the 200 day SMA.
GNTX: Went the wrong way ,moving back through the 50 day EMA.
New Plays:
Upside:
Play Date: 05/02/2005
FLS (Flowserve--$28.21; +0.45; no options): Flow control equipment
http://biz.yahoo.com/p/f/fls.html
STATUS: Breakout test. Super 14 week base provided a breakout in mid-April on strong trade. A nicely formed double bottom with handle with solid 6 to 4 accumulation (6 up price weeks on rising volume to 4 down price weeks on rising volume) set up the breakout and the breakout run. FLS has come back to test, holding the 18 day EMA (27.33) on the Friday intraday low. Good volume again Monday as FLS started up off the 10 day EMA (27.75), the level it held at the Friday close. Solid money flow. Looking for a bit more volume as it continues the move. Nice.

UTHR (United Therapeutics--$49.72; +1.73; optionable): Drugs
http://biz.yahoo.com/p/u/uthr.html
After Hours: $49.71
STATUS: Breakout test. UTHR broke out from a flat base of its own two weeks back, rallying to 53. It then made this test the past week, holding roughly at the 18 day EMA (48.65) on the pullback. Looked rockier Friday, but a nice recovery Monday. Super pattern with solid 5 to 2 accumulation and surging money flow. Looks ready to continue its breakout move.

WBSN (Websense--$52.85; -0.20; optionable): Employee internet management (EIM) products
http://biz.yahoo.com/p/w/wbsn.html
After Hours: $52.85
STATUS: Cup. WBSN looks to be just over halfway through with a cup base, currently 7 weeks in the making. It bottomed just over the 200 day SMA (47.16) in mid-April, a key support level, and then started moving back up to form the right side of the base. It rallied above the 50 day EMA (52.50) last week on strong volume and has sense moved laterally along that level on lower volume Monday it showed a nice tight doji there. Money flow is moving higher ahead of price. Setting up well for the next leg higher in the base. As usual, want to see volume start back up as it makes the break higher through the buy point. We can get us a nice return without having to make a new high.
Volume: 643.732K Avg Volume: 715.09K
BUY POINT: $53.42 Volume=1.1M Target=$60 Stop=$52.05
POSITION: DQH GJ - July $50c (70 delta) &/or Stoc

SUBSCRIBER PORTFOLIO: These are stocks subscribers suggest by vote that we put in a portfolio to track and move into the stocks if they perform well. If you have any suggestions for additions or deletions, email us. We don't cover them all each report, just when something interesting is developing.
AAPL, CELG, BLUD, BR, COH, HW, PSYS, RTSX, STN
CELG: Nice tight doji over the 18 day EMA as it tests its breakout.
BLUD: Still working laterally over the 50 day EMA on low volume. Range is tightening up which often indicates a move is coming.
RTSX: Making the breakout move on very strong volume.
SUBSCRIBER WATCHLIST
We continually receive ideas for potential plays from subscribers. Many times they are already on our watchlists, other times not. We always take a look and sometimes find a gem or two, or more. We don't necessarily endorse these, but want to provide a forum for subscribers with ideas that may appeal to other subscribers. We may just put on the ticker or we might describe our thoughts as to why or why not we think it is a buy or sell. This is a way we can all learn a bit more and maybe find a few more candidates to make us some good money.
Upside:
ANTP: Volume was up close to average Monday, the best volume in three weeks, as ANTP moved off the 200 day SMA. This looks to be forming the second leg to a 4 month double bottom base.
QSII: Big breakout in Late January from a 13 month cup with handle base. A strong run from 30 to over 50. QSII tested the 50 day EMA in late March and early April, rebounded, but is already back, testing that level again. Not the best action, but it is recovering well from the hard selling last Thursday.
