STATUS: Breakout test. IDIX has already made us some money, and it is setting up to do that again. A new issue in July 2004, it formed a 5 month cup with handle base February to mid-July and broke out then. Excellent breakout that ran above 28 on the run. It sold back and has tested the 18 day EMA (24.69), holding the breakout move. Outstanding 8 to 2 accumulation in the base (7 up price weeks on rising volume to 2 down price weeks on rising volume) shows plenty of buying; lots of support for the stock. Strong money flow is leading higher as well. Looks ready to rumble again as volume jumped back above average Thursday as IDIX moved off of the 18 day EMA. Looks ready.

STATUS: Reverse head and shoulders. Volume has run higher and above average the past three sessions as SMMX prepared for its earnings that were released Wednesday after the close. Good results pushed SMMX higher Thursday on stronger trade. Nice 8 month base sporting solid 8 to 6 accumulation shows net buyers. Strong money flow is leading the way higher and we are ready to move into SMMX as it continues the breakout move.

STATUS: Breakout test. Another nice, tight doji over the 10 day EMA (4.97) on below average volume as EMKR sets up to resume the breakout run after this test. Looks great. To recap: EMKR formed a 5 month base that broke out in May. It is making its second test of that breakout move, coming back to the 10 day EMA after a strong volume run up through last week. Volume has fallen below average the past three session on the test, showing few sellers. Looking for volume to kick back in as EMKR rallied off of this level to give us a new entry point.

STATUS: Test breakout. Similar to EMKR, PPDI has come back to test its explosive move, holding at the 10 day EMA (56.73) the past two sessions. Looks ready as volume edged back up above average Thursday. To recap: PPDI exploded higher 7-13 on news it beat earnings estimates and upped Q3 and Q4. The move broke it out of a 13 week base on some very strong volume. After rallying to 60 it has pulled back the past week to test the 10 day EMA, moving lower on declining volume. Strong money flow has surged ahead of the price and is holding well on the test. Looking for PPDI to turn back up from here and continue the breakout move.
