THE PLAYS
Good movers: MPWR; AXL
Wednesday night play results:
DADE: Tried the move but volume was lower and it closed basically flat.
MINI: Fell back to the 18 day EMA on stronger, above average volume. Still in the pattern but have to wait it out.
SCUR: Gapped lower to hold the 50 day EMA on lower volume.
TOMO: Fell below the 18 day EMA even though volume remained well below average
Upside:
Play Date: 10/27/2005
OSUR (Orasure Technologies--$10.77; +0.22; optionable): Oral specimen collection devices. How lovely.
http://biz.yahoo.com/p/o/osur.html
STATUS: Cup w/handle. Volume jumped back above average Thursday as OSUR gapped higher and cleared the handle of its 15 week base. Very nice pattern starting the breakout move. Solid fundamentals and pattern.

PETS (PetMed Express--$10.91; -0.29; optionable): Mail order pet medications (1-800-PetMeds
http://biz.yahoo.com/p/p/pets.html
STATUS: Double bottom w/handle. PETS has formed a short 8 week base and used the Wednesday and Thursday selling to form a short lower volume handle. This is part of a much larger 2 year base and this pattern is acting as a good shakeout for the break to a new all-time high. Just reported earnings and enjoyed a nice break higher on strong trade as the results were excellent. Coming back in this selling to test the move on very low, below average volume. After hit test of the 10 day EMA (10.75) it will be ready to continue the breakout move. Top stock combining earnings and pattern.
Volume: 262.208K Avg Volume: 481.332K
BUY POINT: $11.25 Volume=650K Target=$13.25 Stop=$10.57

SAY (Satyam Computer Services--$32.71; -0.64; no options): Consulting and IT software
http://biz.yahoo.com/p/s/say.html
STATUS: Breakout test. Strong move last week as SAY broke out from a 20 month ascending triangle sporting strong 22 to 15 accumulation. Strong breakout on strong volume, following surging money flow higher. Relative strength broke out as well, a good corroboration of the price move. The past two sessions it has sold as well, but it is simply easing back to test the 10 day EMA (32.03). May still come all the way back to the 10 day the next session or tow before it resumes the move. Solid, top ranked stock in fundamentals and pattern.
Volume: 677.4K Avg Volume: 506.045K
BUY POINT: $32.95 Volume=759K Target=$39.55 Stop=$31.87

Play Date: 10/24/2005
CCI (Crown Castle Intl.--$24.65; +0.68; optionable): Wireless communications towers
http://biz.yahoo.com/p/c/cci.html
STATUS: Ascending base. Announced strong earnings and enjoyed strong volume as CCI moved off the 50 day EMA (23.80) that has acted as support for the 8 week pattern. Strong money flow and relative strength broke out Thursday, a very bullish indication that the stock will follow.
Volume: 2.48M Avg Volume: 1.149M
BUY POINT: $25.05 Volume=1.6M Target=$29.95 Stop=$23.69
POSITION: CCI AE - Jan. $25c (51 delta) &/or Stock

SUBSCRIBER PORTFOLIO: These are stocks subscribers suggest by vote that we put in a portfolio to track and move into the stocks if they perform well. If you have any suggestions for additions or deletions, email us. We don't cover them all each report, just when something interesting is developing.
AAPL, CELG, BR, COH, NVDA, PSYS, RTSX, STN, UNH
COH: Testing the trend reversal move, holding the 18 day EMA on the close. Good test during the selling and will look for rising trade as COH turns back up.
SUBSCRIBER WATCHLIST
We continually receive ideas for potential plays from subscribers. Many times they are already on our watchlists, other times not. We always take a look and sometimes find a gem or two, or more. We don't necessarily endorse these, but want to provide a forum for subscribers with ideas that may appeal to other subscribers. We may just put on the ticker or we might describe our thoughts as to why or why not we think it is a buy or sell. This is a way we can all learn a bit more and maybe find a few more candidates to make us some good money.
MCHP: Announced solid results last week and gapped higher above the 50 day EMA. It ahs moved laterally this week on low volume, testing the move. Trying to recover from the July peak and subsequent selling. Solid money flow is moving higher ahead of price; will see if MCHP follows it.
