Begin part 3 of 3

THE PLAYS

Good movers: ADSK; DBRN; EFJI; GAP; ILMN; NVDA; RBAK

Weekend play results:
FCX: Gapped higher but closed flat. Want to see a better breakaway move.
FLSH: Bouncing but needs more volume.
INFA: Better volume but not able to hold the breakout.
WOOF: Strong volume as well but also could not hold the break higher.

Upside:

Play Date: 10/31/2005
IDC (Interactive Data Corp.--$23.2; +0.66; no options): Financial and business information to financial institutions, retail investors
http://biz.yahoo.com/p/i/idc.html
STATUS: Double bottom w/handle. IDC is making a volume breakout from an 8 week base that formed right on top of a 8 month cup with handle. Nice base on base pattern that really works to weed out the sellers and set a strong move. Looks as if that move started Monday. Solid 3 to 0 accumulation in the base (3 up price weeks on rising volume to 0 down price weeks on rising volume) shows plenty of buying in the smaller pattern has set the stage. Relative strength broke out as well. Very solid and a top ranked stock with great fundamentals and technical position breaking to a 6 year high.

Play Date: 10/31/2005
PSUN (Pacific Sunwear--$25.02; +0.92; optionable): Apparel stores
http://biz.yahoo.com/p/p/psun.html
After Hours: $25.01
STATUS: Double bottom w/handle. Strong volume break higher Monday as PSUN moves to the breakout point in its nicely formed 8 month base. PSUN is a perennial market leader, and after a strong run in 2003, it based in 2004, enjoying a strong run from August to March 2005. It needed this base to reset and it is doing just that. Money flow is surging higher and PSUN is starting to follow its lead. A strong leader that is starting its break higher.
Volume: 2.599M Avg Volume: 1.781M
BUY POINT: $25.38 Volume=2.2M Target=$29.85 Stop=$23.88
POSITION: PVQ CE - Mar. $25c (55 delta) &/or Stock

Play Date: 10/31/2005
STMP (Stamps.com--$20.16; +0.87; optionable): Internet postage, photo stamps, online postage store
http://biz.yahoo.com/p/s/stmp.html
After Hours: $20.16
STATUS: Cup w/handle. A strong shot of volume Monday as STMP broke higher, clearing a week long low volume, lateral move. This consolidated a gap higher three weeks back off the lows of the pattern. Still building the base but a nice gap over the 200 day SMA (17.91) and then a continuation of the move Monday. A nicely formed 20 week base sporting positive 5 to 4 accumulation and money flow rallying higher ahead of price. Looking for a 5.5 year high as it continues the move. Solid fundamentals to go along with the solid technical pattern.
Volume: 451.593K Avg Volume: 199.146K
BUY POINT: $20.42 Volume=299K Target=$24.38 Stop=$18.99
POSITION: JXQ BD - Feb. $20c (55 delta) &/or Stock

SUBSCRIBER WATCHLIST

We continually receive ideas for potential plays from subscribers. Many times they are already on our watchlists, other times not. We always take a look and sometimes find a gem or two, or more. We don't necessarily endorse these, but want to provide a forum for subscribers with ideas that may appeal to other subscribers. We may just put on the ticker or we might describe our thoughts as to why or why not we think it is a buy or sell. This is a way we can all learn a bit more and maybe find a few more candidates to make us some good money.

SHOO: A retailer selling a specific brand of shoes and ready to break to a new high after this three week lateral move that is the second consolidation of its July breakout.
