THE PLAYS
Good movers: ADSK; CCI; IVIL; PETS; AXL
Monday night play results:
IDC: Dumped back down after the good move Monday.
PSUN: Solid volume as PSUN continues higher.
STMP: Nice continuation move on solid trade.
Upside:
Play Date: 11/01/2005
ASPM (Aspect Medical--$32.48; -0.14; optionable): Medical appliances/equipment
http://biz.yahoo.com/p/a/aspm.html
After Hours: $32.48
STATUS: Cup w/handle. Nice handle has formed the past week to ASPM's 12 week base sporting solid 4 to 2 accumulation (4 up price weeks on rising volume to 2 down price weeks on rising volume). Strong accumulation to go with strong money flow leading higher. Nice pattern that formed using the 200 day SMA (27.17) as support on the low, a good sign that institutions moved in to support it at that level. Looks solid and earnings are out Wednesday. Looking for that to give us a breakout, and an entry point on the test.

BUY POINT: $33.15 Volume=230K Target=$39.45 Stop=$31.28

LCAV (LCA-Vision--$41.45; -0.46; optionable): Fixed site laser vision correction centers
http://biz.yahoo.com/p/l/lcav.html
After Hours: $41.45
STATUS: Test breakout. LCAV gapped higher on strong volume last week on huge earnings. It has come back to test and fill the gap, holding at the 10 day EMA (40.67) on the Tuesday low. Good trend gap reversal from the decline from July. Held at the 200 day SMA (37.38) and then gapped; good support point to move from. Strong money flow is leading back up and we expect LCAV to follow it. Top rated earnings.
Volume: 909.4K Avg Volume: 769.5K
BUY POINT: $42.32 Volume=1.2M Target=$48.75 Stop=$40.55
POSITION: JVQ CH - Mar. $40c (59 delta) &/or Stock

Play Date: 11/01/2005
PSTI (Per-Se Technologies--$22.06; -0.17; optionable): Healthcare solutions for physicians and hospitals
http://biz.yahoo.com/p/p/psti.html
After Hours: $22.02
STATUS: Cup w/handle. Earnings are out tomorrow morning, and PSTI is set to move higher with a nicely formed 12 week base that has formed and ready to push PSTI to a new 6 year high. Positive accumulation to go along with this strong pattern. Looking for earnings to move PSTI higher early and will look for a test of that move that likely holds the breakout (and buy point) and moves up from that level. That is our entry point.
Volume: 203.14K Avg Volume: 295.877K
BUY POINT: $22.72 Volume=444K Target=$27 Stop=$21.55
POSITION: MQA CX - Mar. $22.50c (54 delta) &/or Stock

SUBSCRIBER PORTFOLIO: These are stocks subscribers suggest by vote that we put in a portfolio to track and move into the stocks if they perform well. If you have any suggestions for additions or deletions, email us. We don't cover them all each report, just when something interesting is developing.
AAPL, CELG, BR, COH, NVDA, PSYS, RTSX, STN, UNH
BR: Has stabilized over the 50 day EMA, catching its breath after a wild ride in October.
COH: Tapped the 50 day EMA on the low and rebounded for a gain on rising volume. Looks just about ready to continue the gap reversal move.
RTSX: Getting some traction over the 50 day EMA. Burned higher Tuesday but did not bring any volume with it. Needs to show better trade as it crosses 32 if it is going to make the move stick.
UNH: Solid, surging to a new high on tremendous trade. Our options are growing in value nicely.
SUBSCRIBER WATCHLIST
We continually receive ideas for potential plays from subscribers. Many times they are already on our watchlists, other times not. We always take a look and sometimes find a gem or two, or more. We don't necessarily endorse these, but want to provide a forum for subscribers with ideas that may appeal to other subscribers. We may just put on the ticker or we might describe our thoughts as to why or why not we think it is a buy or sell. This is a way we can all learn a bit more and maybe find a few more candidates to make us some good money.
NILE: Jewelry store that was on our watchlist as well, and we did just that, watching it break higher the past two days on volume. We held off Monday putting it on the report because it closed so far off its intraday high. Well, Tuesday it was right back up, blowing higher on strong trade and clearing its 14 week double bottom base.
