Begin part 3

The prior version contained some price and volume data from Thursday. The following corrects those errors.

THE PLAYS

Good movers: AMGN, AQNT, BABY, CLDN, DNA, MPWR, MRVL, RBAK

Thursday night play results:
AMGN: Solid move higher continues
DADE: Tried to move but no volume yet. Still set up well.
IIJI: Eased back on lower volume after the strong Thursday move.
SRCL: Still a nice low volume test of the breakout

Upside:

Play Date: 11/05/2005
COHU (Cohu--$24.37; +0.51; optionable): Semiconductor equipment
http://biz.yahoo.com/p/c/cohu.html
STATUS: Cup. Excellent volume to end last week as COHU moved off the 50 day EMA (23.11), working on the right side of its 15 week base. This pattern formed after the July gap higher on strong earnings. COHU sold back to fill that gap, finding bottom in mid-October. Outstanding 7 to 0 accumulation in the pattern (7 up price weeks on rising volume to 0 down price weeks on rising volume) is complimented by surging money flow. Looking to move into positions as COHU continues higher. Solid action from this stock that is sporting solid fundamentals to go along with the pattern.

IDXX (Idexx Labs--$68; -0.10; optionable): Diagnostic substances
http://biz.yahoo.com/p/i/idxx.html
STATUS: Breakout test. Strong volume breakout in late October as IDXX moved out of a long 17 month cup with handle base. Explosive move and now a nice, low volume test back to the 10 day EMA (67.69), holding the September highs that mark the breakout point. Strong 21 to 14 accumulation in the long base shows plenty of buying as big money accumulates the stock. Looking for a turn back up off of the Friday doji and a burst of volume to go with it. Strong money flow and a relative strength breakout on the price breakout is a good indication for the rebound and continuation of the breakout move.

KG (King Pharmaceuticals--$16.12; -0.03; optionable): Drugs
http://biz.yahoo.com/p/k/kg.html
STATUS: Cup w/handle. A very nice, well-formed base the past 8 weeks formed over the 50 day EMA (14.85). This is consolidating a strong move from April, and is actually part of a larger 21 month pattern. Accumulation is a strong 4 to 1, strong money flow, and a relative strength breakout last week. This is a great little base ready to give way to another breakout and run higher.

KONG (Kongzhong--$12.99; +0.21; optionable): Chinese wireless interactive entertainment
http://biz.yahoo.com/p/k/kong.html
STATUS: 50 day EMA test. Taking another look at KONG as it tests a key support level (50 day EMA at 12.38) following the late September surge higher that took it out of a 10 month cup with handle pattern. The base sports solid 11 to 5 accumulation, showing plenty of buyers to support a further move higher. Very low volume the past 3 weeks on this test, indicating those prior buyers are not selling. Strong money flow is leading higher as well. A new issue in July 2004, this base was its first real consolidation, and that is when we like to move in. Looking for strong volume as KONG makes its move off the 50 day.

NIHD (NII Hldgs--$84.30; -0.25; optionable): Wireless telecom. Splits 2:1 on 11-22.
http://biz.yahoo.com/p/n/nihd.html
STATUS: Cup w/handle. NIHD has run a long way in 2004 and 2005, and it needed a breather. It surged higher in late July and then fell into the current 13 week lateral move, the last 5 weeks forming a short cup with handle as it came back late in the week to test the 10 day EMA (82.36) on lower volume. Very strong run and we are looking to capitalize on this pullback to give us a good run into the actual split. One of the top rated stocks in the market in terms of earnings growth and its strength.

New buy points on current positions:

Play Date: 11/05/2005
BBBB (Blackboard--$28.8; +0.38; optionable)
http://biz.yahoo.com/p/b/bbbb.html
STATUS: Breakout test. Second test of the 10 day EMA (27.70) and then bouncing higher again on strong trade. This is the next entry point as BBBB continues its run from its 13 week base.
Volume: 433.329K Avg Volume: 248.252K
BUY POINT: $29.05 Volume=385K Target=$34.65 Stop=$27.55

NVDA (Nvidia--$34.06; -0.59; optionable): Semiconductors
http://biz.yahoo.com/p/n/nvda.html
After Hours: $33.98
STATUS: Cup w/handle. Nice test is shaping up, forming the handle to a very short 5 week base. A good consolidation pattern after the September breakout from its 6 month triangle. Looking for a hold of the 10 day EMA (33.46) and a rebound on solid trade.
Volume: 4.752M Avg Volume: 4.475M
BUY POINT: $34.55 Volume=6.7M Target=$39.88 Stop=$33.33
