THE PLAYS
Good movers: CCI, ILMN, MPWR, SCUR, SMTS, AXL
Monday night play results:
ALO: Gapped higher on strong earnings but sold it all off. Will see if can hold and continue, but don't like these reversals.
CBST: Still forming the nice handle.
GLW: Testing deeper than we wanted, falling to the 50 day EMA on rising, average volume.
Upside:
Play Date: 11/08/2005
ARD (Arena Resources--$23.85; +0.03; no options): Oil and gas drilling and exploration
http://biz.yahoo.com/p/a/ard.html
STATUS: Breakout test. ARD has formed something of a pennant the past 5 weeks as it moves up the 50 day EMA (21.53) and the 18 day EMA (23.51). This is testing the September breakout from a 24 week base, moving in a tight range above the 18 day EMA on lower and lower below average volume. It is tightening up for the next move higher. Strong money flow is leading higher. It is just about ready to make its move.

AXE (Anixter International--$37.37; +0.1; optionable): Wholesale electronics
http://biz.yahoo.com/p/a/axe.html
STATUS: Ascending triangle. Volume surged Tuesday as AXE reached down to the 18 day EMA (36.68) and rebounded to post a gain. Nice 14 week base has set up, using the 50 day EMA (35.89) as support as it forms this base, preparing for a breakout to a new all-time high. Outstanding 7 to 2 accumulation (7 up price weeks on rising volume to 2 down price weeks on rising volume) shows a lot of buying. Money flow is surging higher, a nice compliment to the accumulation. Super base and ready for a new all-time high.

SUBSCRIBER PORTFOLIO: These are stocks subscribers suggest by vote that we put in a portfolio to track and move into the stocks if they perform well. If you have any suggestions for additions or deletions, email us. We don't cover them all each report, just when something interesting is developing.
AAPL, CELG, BR, COH, NVDA, PSYS, RTSX, STN, UNH
CELG: Nice low volume test of the strong breakout is underway. May come back to the 10 day EMA (57.20) before it is ready to break higher.
AAPL: Nice tap of the 10 day EMA on the low and a rebound on continued low volume. Looks ready to continue.
UNH: Holding the 10 day EMA on low volume after that hard selling last week. This is support from its recent highs and a good place to hold the line.
SUBSCRIBER WATCHLIST
We continually receive ideas for potential plays from subscribers. Many times they are already on our watchlists, other times not. We always take a look and sometimes find a gem or two, or more. We don't necessarily endorse these, but want to provide a forum for subscribers with ideas that may appeal to other subscribers. We may just put on the ticker or we might describe our thoughts as to why or why not we think it is a buy or sell. This is a way we can all learn a bit more and maybe find a few more candidates to make us some good money.
MSTR: On our watchlist as we watch it fade back to near support and try to form a handle to its 13 week base. Very tight range as it makes the pullback.
Good Investing!
