THE PLAYS
Good movers: ASPM; COH; IMGC; LSTR; PSYS; SMTS; TGT; TRAD
Wednesday night play results:
COH: Solid price move on so-so volume as COH heads for the breakout again.
CY: Big surge but no volume and it came tumbling back down. Okay, we will see if it can reload.
FLS: Not yet flowing higher
RIO: Gapped lower on volume. Hmm.
Upside:
Play Date: 11/10/2005
CPKI (California Pizza Kitchen--$32.18; +0.04; optionable): Restaurants
http://biz.yahoo.com/p/c/cpki.html
STATUS: Cup w/handle. Very nice handle has formed the past three weeks as CPKI puts the final toppings on its 17 week base. Excellent 5 to 1 accumulation adds spice to the pattern, showing practically all buying as CPKI consolidates a strong gap higher in July. Indeed, the base filled that gap. Super all around. Used the 200 day SMA (27.34) on the support on the lows, money flow is surging, great accumulation. Ready to come out of the oven and break to a new high, and is set up perfectly to do it.

BUY POINT: $33.02 Volume=432K Target=$37.95 Stop=$31.21
POSITION: CUH DF - Apr. $30c (61 delta) &/or Stock

VAS (Viasys Healthcare--$26.93; -0.08; optionable): Medical equipment
http://biz.yahoo.com/p/v/vas.html
STATUS: Breakout test. VAS broke higher last week on strong volume, moving out of a 9 week cup base sporting outstanding 5 to 1 accumulation (5 up price weeks on rising volume to 1 down price weeks on rising volume) and surging money flow. The move took VAS to an all-time high and this is a good test of that move. It may come back further toward the 10 day EMA (25.91), but we like how it tested lower Thursday and then rebounded and recouped most of its session loss. Ready to move in as it continues higher and through the buy point on strong volume.
Volume: 351.6K Avg Volume: 235K
BUY POINT: $27.55 Volume=350K Target=$31.95 Stop=$26.25
POSITION: VAS DE - Apr. $25c (70 delta) &/or Stock

New buy points on current positions:
Play Date: 11/10/2005
PSUN (Pacific Sunwear--$27.63; +0.54; optionable): Apparel stores
http://biz.yahoo.com/p/p/psun.html
After Hours: $27.15
STATUS: Double bottom w/handle. PSUN gapped higher to start November, breaking out from an 8 month base. Positive 9 to 7 accumulation shows net buyers in this stock, one of the strongest in the sector. After the gap higher it has come back to test the move, tapping the 10 day EMA (26.54) on the low and rebounding to post a nice gain. Needs some more volume but looks ready to continue its strong run to a new all-time high.
Volume: 1.361M Avg Volume: 1.787M
BUY POINT: $28.11 Volume=2.7M Target=$32.55 Stop=$26.39
POSITION: PVQ CE - Mar. $25c (66 delta) &/or Stock

SUBSCRIBER PORTFOLIO: These are stocks subscribers suggest by vote that we put in a portfolio to track and move into the stocks if they perform well. If you have any suggestions for additions or deletions, email us. We don't cover them all each report, just when something interesting is developing.
AAPL, CELG, BR, COH, NVDA, PSYS, RTSX, STN, UNH
BR: Bombs away with the energy sector. This is where it holds here at 65 or else it is in really deep trouble.
COH: Breaking higher on rising but still below average volume.
NVDA: Gapped higher on those strong earnings but could not hold the gain and lost ground. Still a solid stock but man, hate those intraday reversals.
PSYS: Breaking higher on stronger, average volume.
STN: New life as STN tested and now is rebounding off the 200 day SMA. It may have just weathered a major storm.
UNH: Jumped off the 18 day EMA on strong volume. Looks as if the selling by the big brokerage is over and things have calmed back down.
SUBSCRIBER WATCHLIST
We continually receive ideas for potential plays from subscribers. Many times they are already on our watchlists, other times not. We always take a look and sometimes find a gem or two, or more. We don't necessarily endorse these, but want to provide a forum for subscribers with ideas that may appeal to other subscribers. We may just put on the ticker or we might describe our thoughts as to why or why not we think it is a buy or sell. This is a way we can all learn a bit more and maybe find a few more candidates to make us some good money.
SIRF: A semiconductor stock that is forming something of a double bottom with handle the past 7 weeks as SIRF holds the 50 day EMA and prepares for the breakout to a new all-time high. A new issue in May 2004 and this is setting up the move to a new all-time high.
