Begin part 3 of 3
THE PLAYS
Good movers: AQNT; ASPM; CAM; GENZ; GILD
Tuesday night play results:
CAM: Nice move on solid volume.
MDT: Holding steady at the breakout point.
WFR: Fell back to support, unable to continue the promise of the Tuesday move.
MSTR: Has come back to finish the test of the 10 day EMA on low volume. Looks ready.
Upside:
Play Date: 11/16/2005
BRCM (Broadcom--$46.49; +0.42; optionable): Semiconductor integrated circuits
http://biz.yahoo.com/p/b/brcm.html
After Hours: $46.50
STATUS: Cup w/handle. BRCM has quietly set up the current 7 week base along the 50 day EMA (43.94), a base that is acting as the handle for a much larger 17 month cup with handle. Accumulation in the current pattern is positive and money flow is rallying higher ahead of price. This quiet pattern has set up the breakout, and we want to be ready to enter as BRCM shows us the volume move higher.

OXPS (OptionsXpress Holdings--$21.48; -0.29; optionable): Options brokerage service
http://biz.yahoo.com/p/o/oxps.html
STATUS: Breakout test. OXPS was a new issue in January. It started out without a roar, falling from its IPO until it bottomed in May. From there it rallied to form the right side of its base, using the 50 day EMA (19.24) as support. It broke out from the pattern in early November, and is now making the test of the 10 day EMA (21.16). It tapped the 10 day on the Wednesday low and started to rebound. Looking for volume to move back in as it does. The top-rated stock fundamentally and technically in its group. Positive 10 to 8 accumulation in the base. Strong money flow has surged ahead of price and relative strength broke out on the move.

New Buy Points on Current Plays:
Play Date: 11/16/2005
MRVL (Marvell Technology--$49.53; +0.1; optionable): Semiconductor integrated circuits. Forecast to announce a split 11-17-05 after the close.
http://biz.yahoo.com/p/m/mrvl.html
After Hours: $49.55
STATUS: Test breakout. Wednesday MRVL showed a nice hammer doji, tapping the 10 day EMA (49.01) on the low and rebounding. This looks to have completed the low volume pullback to test the breakout from its 8 week reverse head and shoulders base. Volume has crept up the past two sessions; looking for it to rally as MRVL comes off of the 10 day. We can also look at some positions before the close. Aggressive as it is an earnings play; MRVL is a top-rated stock in its fundamentals and technical pattern.

WBSN (Websense--$62.53; +1.12; optionable): Internet business services (employer control of internet access)
http://biz.yahoo.com/p/w/wbsn.html
STATUS: Breakout test. WBSN is explosive. It blasted higher four sessions back on strong volume, surging out of the handle of its 8.5 month cup with handle base. It peaked just over 66 on the move and then dropped hard Tuesday as the market fell back. It has held the 10 day EMA (61.10), undercutting it Wednesday and then rebounding. We are ready to move in with more positions as WBSN continues this move back up.
Volume: 745.893K Avg Volume: 591.464K
