THE PLAYS

Good movers: BGC; BMD; GLG; NEM; REDF

Tuesday night play results:
BKS: Still working on the handle
MUSE: Turned right back down to the 10 day EMA on low, below average volume
NEM: Gapped higher on strong volume.

New Plays:

Upside:

Play Date: 12/07/2005
CNQR (Concur Technologies--$13.01; +0.13; optionable): Software to automate management of corporate expenses
http://biz.yahoo.com/p/c/cnqr.html
After Hours: $13.03
STATUS: Reverse head and shoulders. Short 7 week base has set up bracketing the 50 day EMA (12.63) as CNQR prepares for a breakout to a 5.5 year high. Strong 4 to 1 accumulation (4 up price weeks on rising volume to 1 down price weeks on rising volume) is setting up that breakout. Volume jumped back above average Wednesday as CNQR found some footing at the 10 day EMA (12.89). This follows a couple of other good volume spikes in the last week, showing good ongoing buying.
Volume: 324.01K Avg Volume: 270.197K
BUY POINT: $13.32 Volume=405K Target=$15.98 Stop=$12.59
POSITION: JCQ EV - May $12.50c (57 delta) &/or Stock

Play Date: 12/07/2005
ECLP (Eclipsys--$18.86; +0.35; optionable): Healthcare information service
http://biz.yahoo.com/p/e/eclp.html
After Hours: $18.86
STATUS: Cup w/handle breakout. Solid volume the past week as ECLP starts the breakout from a short 9 week base that is a handle to a larger 12 month cup with handle base. Strong 6 to 2 accumulation in the current base shows plenty of strong buying setting up the breakout and run. Strong money flow is leading higher as well, going hand in hand with the accumulation. Relative strength has made the breakout, a good indication the breakout will stick. Looking to move in on a further move on solid trade similar to what we saw Wednesday.
Volume: 828.873K Avg Volume: 471.505K
BUY POINT: $19.05 Volume=525K Target=$22.88 Stop=$17.82
POSITION: IQV CW - Mar. $17.50c (64 delta) &/or Stock

Play Date: 12/07/2005
ICUI (ICU Medical--$37.95; -0.89; optionable): Medical instruments
http://biz.yahoo.com/p/i/icui.html
After Hours: $37.95
STATUS: Breakout test. ICUI started the month with a breakout from its 7.5 month base. Strong 11 to 5 accumulation shows plenty of buying that sets up the base for a good breakout and run. The breakout volume was stronger but not blowout. Volume did improve as ICUI made its run higher this week. Wednesday it faded, tapping the 10 day EMA (37.35) on the low, rebounding to recoup some losses. Will likely test the 10 day EMA again and then looking for it to rally from there.
Volume: 272.162K Avg Volume: 121.976K
BUY POINT: $38.25 Volume=250K Target=$43.98 Stop=$37.08
POSITION: QPD EG - May $35c (69 delta, low OI) &/or Stock

SUBSCRIBER PORTFOLIO: These are stocks subscribers suggest by vote that we put in a portfolio to track and move into the stocks if they perform well. If you have any suggestions for additions or deletions, email us. We don't cover them all each report, just when something interesting is developing.

AAPL, CELG, BR, COH, NVDA, PSYS, RTSX, STN, UNH

NVDA: Nice doji at the 18 day EMA, and with the TXN news it could see some upside Thursday.

COH: It is a struggle, but managing to hold the line at the 18 day EMA on lower volume.

SUBSCRIBER WATCHLIST

We continually receive ideas for potential plays from subscribers. Many times they are already on our watchlists, other times not. We always take a look and sometimes find a gem or two, or more. We don't necessarily endorse these, but want to provide a forum for subscribers with ideas that may appeal to other subscribers. We may just put on the ticker or we might describe our thoughts as to why or why not we think it is a buy or sell. This is a way we can all learn a bit more and maybe find a few more candidates to make us some good money.

OSUR: Broke out from a 5 month cup with handle base in late November, then gapped higher again to end that month. It has spent the past week moving laterally on much lower volume, holding over the 10 day EMA as it does, typical near term support for a strong breakout. Very nice and showing superior relative strength.

OSTE: Struggling at the bottom of a 2.5 year pullback. Tried a rebound in the first half of the year and that failed with the slide back to the bottom of the base. It has started back up this past week on better volume, making another run at breaking the grip of the long downtrend, but it has a lot of work to do.
