THE PLAYS
Good movers: PWAV
Wednesday night play results:
CNQR: Big volume surge indicates it is ready to make its move
ECLP: Continuing the breakout.
ICUI: Held the 10 day and getting ready to continue the move.
New Plays:
Upside:
Play Date: 12/08/2005
BBY (Best Buy--$50; +1.05; optionable): Electronics stores
http://biz.yahoo.com/p/b/bby.html
After Hours: $50
STATUS: Cup w/handle. Volume moved higher up to average Thursday as BBY moved off the 10 day EMA (48.96) that acted as support in the handle that formed the past week. Got a bit volatile in its 17 week base during November, but moved up to complete the cup and is now completing the handle. Superb 5 to 1 accumulation in the base (5 up price weeks on rising volume to 1 down price weeks on rising volume) shows lots of buying, setting up BBY's breakout that will send it to a new all-time high. Looking for volume to continue higher and send BBY on a strong breakout move.
Volume: 4.474M Avg Volume: 5.513M
BUY POINT: $50.78 Volume=8.3M Target=$58.95 Stop=$48.72
POSITION: BBY CJ - Mar. $50c (57 delta) &/or Stock

Play Date: 12/08/2005
OIS (Oil States Int.--$36.52; +1.45; optionable): Oil and gas services and equipment
http://biz.yahoo.com/p/o/ois.html
STATUS: Reverse head and shoulders. Strong volume Thursday as OIS started the breakout from its 14 week base that formed around the 50 day EMA (33.16), using that key level as support to build the base. Excellent 4 to 0 accumulation in the pattern (4 up price weeks on rising volume to 0 down price weeks on rising volume) shows nothing but buying as the stock consolidated. Now it is starting the move, following the strong money flow higher. Looks excellent.
Volume: 1.014M Avg Volume: 623.528K
BUY POINT: $36.78 Volume=935K Target=$42.95 Stop=$34.55
POSITION: OIS CG - Mar. $35c (67 delta) &/or Stock

Play Date: 12/08/2005
THQI (THQ, Inc.--$23.79; -0.26; optionable): Interactive entertainment hardware
http://biz.yahoo.com/p/t/thqi.html
After Hours: $23.84
STATUS: Reverse head and shoulders. THQI is just coming off a test of the 50 day EMA (22.69) that worked to form the right shoulder to its 18 week base. It came back to test the 10 day EMA (23.44) on the Thursday low, rebounding to close with a modest loss. That higher low may be what sets the stock for the breakout move. Some solid trade as it came off the 50 day; needs to show that kind of volume again as it continues higher and provides the breakout. Strong money flow is leading higher, setting THQI up for a breakout to a 3.5 year high and a challenge of its all-time high (26.48).
Volume: 654.683K Avg Volume: 912.494K
BUY POINT: $24.55 Volume=1.4M Target=$29.45 Stop=$23.24
POSITION: IHX CX - Mar. $23.375c (56 delta) &/or Stock

SUBSCRIBER PORTFOLIO: These are stocks subscribers suggest by vote that we put in a portfolio to track and move into the stocks if they perform well. If you have any suggestions for additions or deletions, email us. We don't cover them all each report, just when something interesting is developing.
AAPL, CELG, BR, COH, NVDA, PSYS, RTSX, STN, UNH
STN: Broke below the 200 day SMA on stronger, average volume. If cannot hold here we will have to get rid of it.
SUBSCRIBER WATCHLIST
We continually receive ideas for potential plays from subscribers. Many times they are already on our watchlists, other times not. We always take a look and sometimes find a gem or two, or more. We don't necessarily endorse these, but want to provide a forum for subscribers with ideas that may appeal to other subscribers. We may just put on the ticker or we might describe our thoughts as to why or why not we think it is a buy or sell. This is a way we can all learn a bit more and maybe find a few more candidates to make us some good money.
TRLG: A new issued in August, TRLG moved in a lateral range into early October and then fell into the current base, a 10 week double bottom. It broke out Monday with a gap higher on strong volume. It rallied and Thursday it started to sell back to test the move. A test of the 10 day EMA (14.74) would fill the gap and set the move for a continued run higher.
