Begin part 3 of 3

THE PLAYS:

Good movers: CORS; GRMN; LEH; LRCX

New Pre-Split Plays: New buy point on current position

Play Date: 04/27/2006
LEH (Lehman Brothers--$156.01; +2.82; optionable): Brokerage. Splits 2:1 on 5-1
http://biz.yahoo.com/p/l/leh.html
STATUS: Test breakout. LEH splits on Monday, but it started to run Thursday on Bernanke's pause. WE are looking to add positions as it moves into the split as we believe LEH is going to continue running on through the actual split.
Volume: 3.198M Avg Volume: 2.155M
BUY POINT: $156.65 Volume=2.4M Target=$170.00 Stop=$153.00
POSITION: LES GK - July $155c (59 delta)

New Post-Split Plays:

Play Date: 04/27/2006
ADBE (Adobe Systems--$39.45; +1.30; optionable): Application software
http://biz.yahoo.com/p/a/adbe.html
After Hours: $39.45
STATUS: Cup w/handle. Strong volume Thursday as ADBE breaks higher, starting the move out of its 14 week base that set up to send ADBE to a 6 year high. It reported earnings 3-22 but just kept working on the base. Solid break higher and looking to move in as it continues this move.
Volume: 7.725M Avg Volume: 4.46M
BUY POINT: $39.78 Volume=5M Target=$45.90 Stop=$37.75
POSITION: AEQ JH - Oct. $40c (52 delta) &/or Stock
http://www.investmenthouse.com/cs/adbe.html

Play Date: 04/27/2006
JCOM (J2 Global Communications--$48.00; -1.40; optionable): Value added messaging (faxing, etc.)
http://biz.yahoo.com/p/j/jcom.html
STATUS: Breakout test. JCOM reported earnings 4-25 and shot higher Wednesday. Strong volume breaking JCOM out of a 20 week base that set up JCOM for a new al-time high. It used the 200 day SMA (42.78) on the lows as support, a good sign of institutional support. Positive accumulation shows net buying. Strong break higher, nice lower volume test Thursday. May come back a bit more but want to be ready to move in if it turns from here and continues the breakout.
Volume: 627.475K Avg Volume: 609.622K
BUY POINT: $48.45 Volume=800K Target=$56.00 Stop=$46.11
POSITION: JQF II - Sept. $45c (67 delta) &/or Stock
http://www.investmenthouse.com/cs/jcom.html

Play Date: 04/27/2006
SLB (Schlumberger--$67.75; -0.82; optionable): Oil and gas equipment
http://biz.yahoo.com/p/s/slb.html
After Hours: $67.40
STATUS: Test 18 day EMA. While many of the energy stocks really collapsed the past two days, SLB slipped modestly, holding its breakout as it tapped the 18 day EMA (65.88) on the low and rebounded. Pretty solid test of the breakout from its 10 week base, showing a nice doji on the candlestick chart Thursday. After the worries in the oil patch blow over, SLB is likely to lead higher once more. It still has a lot of work in the Gulf, and any storm is likely to just add to the bottom line.
Volume: 10.362M Avg Volume: 12.045M
BUY POINT: $68.88 Volume=12M Target=$79.00 Stop=$65.72
POSITION: SLB HB - Aug. $67.50c (58 delta) &/or Stock
http://www.investmenthouse.com/cs/slb.html

New buy point on current position:

Play Date: 04/27/2006
NVDA (Nvidia--$29.17; +0.46; optionable): Semiconductors
http://biz.yahoo.com/p/n/nvda.html
After Hours: $29.17
STATUS: Test 18 day EMA. NVDA gave us a nice run to end March, breaking from a 4 week lateral move along the 18 day EMA (28.79). It is setting up similarly again, moving laterally in a tight range once more. May take a bit more of a lateral move to complete setting up for the next break higher, but we like how NVDA and the semiconductors are setting up here, and it could make the move at any time.
Volume: 7.652M Avg Volume: 11.053M
BUY POINT: $30.05 Volume=14M Target=$36.00 Stop=$27.95
POSITION: UVA IF - Sept. $30c (55 delta) &/or Stock
http://www.investmenthouse.com/cs/nvda.html

Leader Play:

Play Date: 04/27/2006
DIA (Diamonds Trust (DJ30)--$113.77; +0.38; optionable): Financial services ETF
http://biz.yahoo.com/p/d/dia.html
After Hours: $113.68
STATUS: Test 18 day EMA. DIA broke higher late last week and has moved laterally since, holding above the 10 and 18 day EMA (112.93, 112.54). Thursday DIA gapped lower on the China news and then surged on the Bernanke news. Volume surged. Looking to move in as DIA continues higher. A move to the target lands us a 52%ish gain.
Volume: 14.549M Avg Volume: 6.82M
BUY POINT: $114.02 Volume=7.2M Target=$117.25 Stop=$112.42
POSITION: DIA GI - July $113c (60 delta)

PRE-ANNOUNCEMENT PLAYS

Current Pre-Announcement Plays:

This is a list of stocks we are looking to announce splits. We are not in all of the potential splits plays but are letting them set up for the next move. In each report we look at the candidates that are in the best patterns ahead of their potential announcements. This focus on leaders in good patterns allows us to make good money even if companies do not announce the split. The key with splits is the pattern.

ANSS: Looking for an announcement with its shareholder meeting that will occur in late May or early June (date not yet set). Earnings are 4-27-06.

ASEI: Tentatively set for 5-12-06 (Just announced earnings on 2-8-06). Good recovery over the 50 day EMA and still testing that move. This may give us the move we want.

CLE: Researching date.

CNQ: Forecast 5-4-06. Trying to hold at the 50 day EMA and set up a rebound

CRDN: Forecast 4-27-06. Good earnings and moved on volume but could not hold it.

CX: Forecast 4-28-06

DAKT: Looking for a possible announcement with its June 1 board meeting.

DO: No split announced 4-26-06 after the close. That means we look at the 5-22-06 shareholder meeting.

EOG: Forecast 5-5-06

FRK: Forecast early May. Took the gain off the table Wednesday. Will see if it can set back up for us.

GG: Researching to pinpoint the date.

GPRO: Tentatively set for 5-2-06

GRMN: Forecast 5-6-06

LMT: Forecast to announce with shareholder meeting on 4-27-06 at 10:30ET. No split announced but LMT is setting up to give us a nice entry point.

MRO: Forecast 4-27-06. No split announced as MRO suffered with the rest of the energy sector.

PCU: Forecast 4-28-06

PLCE: Forecast 5-18-06 or with the shareholder meeting on 6-22-06.

PTEN: Forecast 5-3-06

RIG: Forecast 5-4-06 before the open

RIO: Forecast 5-10-06

SU: Forecast 5-4-06

TEX: Forecast late April

CONTINUING PRE-ANNOUNCEMENT PLAYS:

Play Date: 04/25/2006
CLE (Claires Stores--$35.58; -0.04; optionable): Apparel stores. Researching to pinpoint the date.
BACKGROUND: Last announced a 2:1 split on 11-4-03 at $40.20
http://biz.yahoo.com/p/c/cle.html
STATUS: Flat base. Another doji over the 18 day EMA (35.23) but on continued low volume. CLE is holding up well; waiting for the catalyst to send it higher. To recap: Might be a bit early on CLE, but after a strong sales report in early March it has formed a lateral 6 week pattern over the 18 day EMA consolidating to set up the next break higher. A market leader with great earnings and sales growth rates. Just going to have to be patient and let CLE finish this lateral base and show us a high volume break through the buy point.
Volume: 384.8K Avg Volume: 754.427K
BUY POINT: $35.88 Volume=1.1M Target=$41.75 Stop=$24.78
POSITION: CLE HG - Aug. $35c (60 delta) &/or Stock
http://www.investmenthouse.com/cs/cle.html

New buy point on current position:

Play Date: 04/25/2006
SU (Suncor Energy--$84.23; +0.18; optionable): Independent oil and gas. Forecast 5-4-06
BACKGROUND: Last announced a 2:1 split on 4-26-02 at $36.
http://biz.yahoo.com/p/s/su.html
STATUS: Test breakout. Nice doji at the 18 day EMA (83.82) as SU reached lower and rebounded to close positive. Nice shakeout, filling all the gaps from two weeks back. This sets SU for the next move up. It sold but did not tank as did many energy stocks, holding its near support. To recap: SU broke higher to start April, rallying out of a 9 week base that formed over the 50 day EMA (79.20). It has already given us a nice run and profit, but this lateral and slightly lower move to the 18 day EMA the past week is setting up another entry point for the run higher after SU catches its breath here. May take another session or two to complete the test, but we want to be ready when it makes the move.
Volume: 2.38M Avg Volume: 2.698M
BUY POINT: New: $85.35 (orig. $87.35) Volume=3.2M Target=$99.90 Stop=$84.95
POSITION: SU IR - Sept. $90c (51 delta) &/or Stock
http://www.investmenthouse.com/cs/su.html

CONTINUING POST-SPLIT PLAYS:

Play Date: 04/18/2006
ADSK (Autodesk--$42.05; -0.19; optionable): Design software and services
http://biz.yahoo.com/p/a/adsk.html
After Hours: $42.06
STATUS: Double bottom w/handle. Nice test of the 18 day EMA continues as ADSK shakes out the sellers and prepares for the break higher. Just have to sit tight and let it show us the move. To recap: Great market leader that had a great 2005 and has formed a nice 6 month base to reset and set up its next move. Solid 8 to 5 accumulation in the base shows net buying, setting up the next breakout and run higher. Nice volume the past two weeks, and it started back up Tuesday. Strong leader with good fundamentals. Looking to move in as it continues higher.
Volume: 2.562M Avg Volume: 3.199M
BUY POINT: $43.89 Volume=3.2M Target=$52.00 Stop=$41.55
POSITION: ADQ GH - July $40c (72 delta) &/or Stock
http://www.investmenthouse.com/cs/adsk.html

Play Date: 04/26/2006
SPIL (Siliconware Precision--$7.22; -0.18; optionable): Chip equipment
http://biz.yahoo.com/p/s/spil.html
After Hours: $7.05
STATUS: Reverse head and shoulders. Down after hours on word it is to restate some earnings but making no change to its primary statements. We will see how it plays out in the morning, but as of the close it still looked ready to make the next break higher. To recap: SPIL split in July and then rallied well to end 2005. After that move it needed a rest and the current 15 week pattern is giving it that. Good price/volume action in the pattern combined with money flow that is turning higher the past week. Great volume Wednesday as SPIL jumped higher, clearing some resistance. Looking to move in as it continues this break higher. Solid. Ready to move to a new 5 year high.
Volume: 1.817M Avg Volume: 1.899M
BUY POINT: $7.51 Volume=2.2M Target=$9.11 Stop=$6.98
POSITION: QSP IU - Sept. $7.50c (60 delta) &/or Stock
http://www.investmenthouse.com/cs/spil.html

Play Date: 04/25/2006
VSEA (Varian Semiconductor--$30.01; +0.54; optionable): Semiconductor equipment
http://biz.yahoo.com/p/v/vsea.html
After Hours: $30.00
STATUS: Double bottom. Strong volume Thursday as VSEA sold early and then rebounded to close positive. Good action as it sets up to move off the 50 day EMA (29.59) in a neat little pattern that shows good accumulation and surging money flow. Looks ready. To recap: VSEA split in early march as it faded in the first part of this base, a pretty serious drop from 35 to 27. It rebounded at that point and has moved higher the past 6 weeks, forming a double bottom of sorts just below the 200 day SMA (29.51). Made a higher low this month and rallied back to 30, the 'hump' in the pattern. Volume was up Tuesday as VSEA jumped off the 18 day EMA (29.19). Looks ready to deliver the breakout move but want to see that volume run as it does.
Volume: 1.887M Avg Volume: 1.122M
BUY POINT: $30.42 Volume=1.4M Target=$36.00 Stop=$29.00
POSITION: UES HF - Aug. $30c (52 delta) &/or Stock
