THE PLAYS
Good movers: CLHB; IFO; ODFL; RBAK
Weekend play results:
BHI: More good volume. Just about there.
CTXS: Still testing the 50 day EMA, on lower volume Monday.
PSSI: Volume was above average again as it pushes against the breakout.
RBAK: Nice break higher on solid volume.
New Plays:
Upside:
Play Date: 05/22/2006
BUD (Budweiser--$46.96; +0.83; optionable): Brewer. Just bought Latrobe (Rolling Rock).
http://biz.yahoo.com/p/b/bud.html
STATUS: Trend reversal. BUD was in a steady downtrend below the 50 day EMA (44.38) since mid-2004. It ended April with a break above the 200 day SMA (43.23) and a run up the 10 day EMA (46.24). It rallied to 47 and then started laterally the past two weeks, using the 10 day as support. Volume kicked up Friday and then again Monday with a solid price move to start this week. Relative strength broke out on the move though the stock has yet to breakout. Strong money flow is leading higher. Looks ready to continue the move.
Volume: 3.52M Avg Volume: 2.6M
BUY POINT: $47.65 Volume=3.5M Target=$53.95 Stop=$45.95
POSITION: BUD II - Sept. $45c (68 delta) &/or Stock

CMRG (Casual Male Retail--$10.24; -0.01; optionable): Retail, apparel (for the casual male)
http://biz.yahoo.com/p/c/cmrg.html
STATUS: Test breakout. Nice break higher to start this month, moving out of a 2 year double bottom with handle base. Strong move on strong volume. Then it started laterally, in a nice, orderly move, coming back to the 18 day EMA (10.11) on mostly lower volume. Looking for volume to kick in as it rebounds off the 18 day EMA and continues the breakout move.
Volume: 466.1K Avg Volume: 500K
BUY POINT: $10.74 Volume=750K Target=$12.89 Stop=$9.99
POSITION: UCQ IB - Sept. $10c (64 delta) &/or Stock

TNL (Technitrol--$24.08; -0.03; optionable): Precision engineered electronic components
http://biz.yahoo.com/p/t/tnl.html
STATUS: Test 50 day EMA. Gapped higher to start May, clearing a small 6 week flat base formed at the 18 day EMA (25.08). After that gap higher it wandered laterally for a week and then fell back in the market selling, heading back to the 50 day EMA (24.16). Big shakeout Friday with a reach lower and rebound. Nice tight doji Monday on continued above average volume. Setting up for the move and just needs a catalyst.
Volume: 370.5K Avg Volume: 303.5K
BUY POINT: $25.12 Volume=450K Target=$30.00 Stop=$24.00
POSITION: TNL JE - Oct. $25c (54 delta) &/or Stock

SUBSCRIBER PORTFOLIO: These are stocks subscribers suggest by vote that we put in a portfolio to track and move into the stocks if they perform well. If you have any suggestions for additions or deletions, email us. We don't cover them all each report, just when something interesting is developing.
AAPL, BRCM, CELG, COH, FFIV, GME, MRVL, NVDA, PSYS, UNH
Had a lot more late entries come in so we are still sorting through them, taking a good look at each. As soon as we get that done we will post the new list. The responses are varied ranging, for example GM, CCJ, BNI, SNDK, CVH, DIS, PALM, ET, SNDK, etc. Any last minute choices will be considered, though I hate to say that given all the candidates sent in. Replacing: BRCM (this one is on the bubble), COH, FFIV, PSYS, UNH
MRVL: The 50 day EMA is key, having stopped MRVL since April, and it sent it packing Monday as well.
NVDA: Trying to get it together and set up a relief move toward the 10 day EMA at 26.
Good Investing!
