CTRP: Holding the 18 day EMA on lower volume, still set to move.

ORBK: Big reach lower and recovery on strong volume.
CBG: Heading the wrong way on rising trade.
KFX: Doji, holding flat on an up session.

New Plays:

Upside:

Play Date: 06/01/2006
BGC (General Cable--$34.87; +2.61; optionable): Wire
http://biz.yahoo.com/p/b/bgc.html
STATUS: Test 50 day EMA. BGC gapped higher in early May in all of that commodities related run that ended badly for many commodities. BGC is a materials stock, but it uses copper so it was caught in that move. It sold off with them as well, but it held the 50 day EMA (31.57) the past two weeks on low volume, filling the gap and setting up for the next run higher. Thursday volume jumped and so did price as BGC received some position coverage. Nice fill of the gap and good volume rebound. Ready to move in on a continued move higher and then again after a successful test.
Volume: 1.468M Avg Volume: 709.828K
BUY POINT: $35.05 Volume=735K Target=$42.00 Stop=$32.71
POSITION: BGC KG - Nov. $35c (61 delta) &/or Stock

Play Date: 06/01/2006
GILD (Gilead Sciences--$58.66; +1.33; optionable): Biotechnology. Forecast to announce a split in late July.
BACKGROUND: Last announced a 2:1 split on 7-28-04 at $58.30
http://biz.yahoo.com/p/g/gild.html
After Hours: $58.62
STATUS: Reverse head and shoulders. GILD gapped higher Thursday on rising, above average volume. Moving base the 'neckline' in its 5 week base that formed using the 200 day SMA (54.22) on the low as support. Looking to move in on a continued move higher with solid trade.
Volume: 5.844M Avg Volume: 4.854M
BUY POINT: $58.89 Volume=7M Target=$69.00 Stop=$56.45
POSITION: GDQ KA - Nov. $57.50c (58 delta) &/or Stock

Play Date: 06/01/2006
ICUI (ICU Medical--$41.22; -0.25; optionable): Medical instruments
http://biz.yahoo.com/p/i/icui.html
STATUS: Double bottom w/handle. ICUI is the leader in its sector, and it has set up a 5 month base over the 200 day SMA (35.53), using that key level as support. Strong volume last Friday as it shot out of the base but then immediately dumped back down into the handle. Has calmed down once again and this leader is now setting up to breakout to a new all-time high.
Volume: 111.142K Avg Volume: 115.515K
BUY POINT: $42.78 Volume=173K Target=$50.95 Stop=$40.55
POSITION: QPD KH - Nov. $40c (57 delta) &/or Stock

Play Date: 06/01/2006
MAR (Marriott--$74.62; +2.29; optionable): Hotels. Splits 2:1 on 6-12-06
http://biz.yahoo.com/p/m/mar.html
STATUS: Test 50 day EMA. After selling back to the 50 day EMA (72.34) support level in the recent selling, MAR held that level, though it got rocky Tuesday, falling through the 50 day EMA. Volume returned Thursday, however, and MAR jumped off the 50 day. Looks ready to make its pre-split run.
Volume: 1.132M Avg Volume: 1.034M
BUY POINT: $74.85 Volume=1.2M Target=$81.00 Stop=$72.00
POSITION: MAR JO - Oct. $75c (53 delta) &/or Stock

Continuing plays ready to move:

Play Date: 05/31/2006
CELG (Celgene--$42.98; +1.53; optionable): Biotechnology
http://biz.yahoo.com/p/c/celg.html
After Hours: $42.98
STATUS: Ascending base. Volume cracked just over average Thursday as CELG hit the buy point just before the close. Ready to move in as CELG continues the breakout. To recap: Good price/volume action with a good spike Friday as CELG gapped higher and another rising volume session Wednesday as CELG posted a nice gain off the 50 day EMA (39.97). CELG looks ready to move out of its 8 week consolidation over that support level after its strong 2005 to March 2006 run. Positive accumulation and strong money flow. Looking for continued strong volume as CELG makes the breakout from its base to a new all-time high.
Volume: 4.042M Avg Volume: 3.636M
BUY POINT: New: $43.05 (orig. $42.95) Volume=5.5M Target=$51.50 Stop=$40.55
POSITION: LQH JV - Oct. $42.50c (55 delta) &/or Stock

Play Date: 05/27/2006
LMIA (LMI Aerospace--$20.12; +0.92; no options): Aerospace and defense
http://biz.yahoo.com/p/l/lmia.html
STATUS: 50 day EMA test. LMIA broke out in early May, rallying to 22 from a 17 week ascending base that used the 50 day EMA (18.53) as support. It has come back to that level in the market selling, filling the gap and testing the move. Looking for volume to jump as LMIA resumes the breakout move.
Volume: 148.289K Avg Volume: 203.777K
BUY POINT: $20.75 Volume=265K Target=$24.95 Stop=$19.65
POSITION: - Stock (No option chain)
