STATUS: Ascending base. DBRN has set up better now, coming back to test the 50 day EMA (24.15) the past week and then bouncing Monday on stronger, average volume. Making a higher low at the 50 day in its 10 week base forming to set up the move to a new all-time high. Excellent 4 to 1 accumulation in the base (4 up price weeks on rising volume to 1 down price weeks on rising volume) shows solid buying, complementing the strong money flow. Solid leader holding up very well in the selling, using it to complete its base and move toward the breakout.

STATUS: Cup. NOIZ is working laterally in a tight range the past week on low volume, basically forming a handle to its 15 week base. Nice consolidation of a good Q1 move, and this lateral move is setting up the next leg higher. Like the play as it is coming off a nice rounded bottom and can give us a nice gain without even breaking to a new high.

OII (Oceaneering Intl.--$42.17; -0.91; optionable): Oil and gas drilling

STATUS: Test 18 day EMA. OII broke out from a 6 week ascending base in late June, rallying to 47.50 on the move. It faded the past week, testing that move and holding the 18 day EMA (41.87) on the Monday close, showing a nice tight hammer doji at that level. After a pullback, particularly after a breakout and test, that often indicates the test is over and the next move higher is ready to start. Looks solid.

STATUS: Double bottom w/handle. Sweet set up as SLB shows a tight doji on low volume right on top of the 50 day EMA (62.43). The base formed making the lows of the two legs on the 200 day SMA (now at 56.14); that shows solid institutional support as it made its test. Now a good handle at the 50 day EMA. Strong stock, right sector, sweet pattern.

STATUS: Breakout test. Nice pair of dojis at the 10 day EMA (52.53) as CTRP tests the breakout from its 10 week flat base. Solid volume on the break higher and now a nice low volume test. Strong leader making a nice test and setting up the next entry point. A move higher off the first test of a breakout is a great entry point as it shows the big buyers moving back in.
