Monday night play results:
AEOS: Tried to continue the move but had no will behind it.

DIOD: Low volume test continues
NOVN: Still set for the breakout but no volume Tuesday

New Plays:

Upside:

Play Date: 10/24/2006
AOB (American Oriental Bioengineering--$6.98; +0.34; optionable): Drugs
http://biz.yahoo.com/p/a/aob.html
STATUS: Cup w/handle. A big 12 month base has formed, the past three weeks a flat lateral move forming the handle over the 10 day EMA (6.68). Volume jumped this week, pushing AOB to the breakout Tuesday. Strong money flow is leading higher and relative strength is breaking out. Looks reayd to move.
Volume: 1.238M Avg Volume: 654.853K
BUY POINT: $7.11 Volume=700K Target=$8.75 Stop=$6.61
POSITION: AOB DU - Apr. $7.50c (55 delta) &/or Stock

Play Date: 10/24/2006
BEAV (BE Aerospace--$24.46; +0.25; optionable):
http://biz.yahoo.com/p/b/beav.html
EARNINGS: 10-30-06 before the open
STATUS: Double bottom w/handle. Sweet lateral move the pat week, working over support at 24 as the 10 day EMA (23.87) rising to meet it this week. After a solid 6 month base, this looks like the little shakeout that is finally going to send it higher for the breakout and run higher. Strong money flow is up ahead of price. Looking for that break higher to move into the play.
Volume: 620.704K Avg Volume: 939.767K
BUY POINT: $25.26 Volume=1.4M Target=$29.00 Stop=$23.75
POSITION: BQV AE - Jan. $25c (54 delta) &/or Stock

Play Date: 10/24/2006
IWM (Ishares Russell 2000--$75.90; +0.15; optionable)
http://biz.yahoo.com/p/i/iwm.html
STATUS: Cup w/handle. IWM is working on the 2 week handle to its 6 month base, fading back to the 10 day EMA (75.46) and holding that level on low volume this week. As we have noted, the small caps are forming up well for a breakout. We are just going to wait and let it break higher on volume. Our buy point is a bit aggressive, but if the volume is there we are ready to move in. A move to the target lands a 50%ish gain.
Volume: 30.507M Avg Volume: 45.353M
BUY POINT: $76.15 Volume=55M Target=$79.25 Stop=$75.25
POSITION: IOW AW - Jan. $75c (62 delta)

Play Date: 10/24/2006
SPTN (Spartan Stores--$20.49; +1.49; optionable): Regional retailing and distribution of groceries. Let's go make grocery!
http://biz.yahoo.com/p/s/sptn.html
EARNINGS: Reported 10-11-06
STATUS: Breakout test. SPTN broke out in August, rallied, and tested. It rallied to start this month, helped along by earnings on the eleventh. It spent the past week testing back to the 10 day EMA (19.35). Tuesday volume surged and so did SPTN. Looking to move in as it continues the strong breakout run.
Volume: 387.936K Avg Volume: 227.998K
BUY POINT: $20.85 Volume=265K Target=$25.38 Stop=$19.39
POSITION: QGH DD - Apr. $20c (61 delta, low OI) &/or Stock

SUBSCRIBER PORTFOLIO: These are stocks subscribers suggest by vote that we put in a portfolio to track and move into the stocks if they perform well. AAPL, AKAM, CELG, DRIV, GME, GOOG, ISE, MA, MRVL, NVDA, WEBX

AKAM: Sweet move on rising, above average volume.

CELG: Doji over the 90 day MA on rising volume. The test looks to be over.

GME: Still working laterally. It got the volume Tuesday when it sold back the low volume Monday move higher. Wrong side for the volume to be on.

GOOG: Took a breather.

ISE: Nice price move off the 10 day EMA. Looks to be ready for more.

MA: Still working laterally, looking better and better.

WEBX: Looks as if it found bottom here at the 50 day EMA, the same spot it held to start the month. A buy on a strong move over 39.
