New Plays:
Upside:
Play Date: 10/26/2006
LQDT (Liquidity Services--$17.56; -0.20; no options): Surplus assets and wholesale goods marketing auction services
http://biz.yahoo.com/p/l/lqdt.html
Earnings: 12-6-06
STATUS: Test breakout. A new issue in February and LQDT has set up its first base, a nice 5 month pattern. It is coming back this week after a nice breakout Monday from a reverse head and shoulders base. A nice low volume test of the 10 day EMA (16.95) is basically forming a handle. Looking for it to test the 10 day EMA and start back up. That successful test is our entry point from this new leader that sports strong fundamentals growth rates and a super pattern.
Volume: 137.897K Avg Volume: 126.035K
BUY POINT: $18.24 Volume=200K Target=$21.95 Stop=$16.96
POSITION: - Stock (no option chain)

Play Date: 10/26/2006
NICE (Nice-Systems--$30.32; +0.33; optionable): Performance management and interaction analytics services
http://biz.yahoo.com/p/n/nice.html
EARNINGS: 11-1-06 before the open
STATUS: Test breakout. NICE broke out from a 5 month trading range to start October, rallying nicely to 32 on the move. It then started to test, coming back to the 18 day EMA (29.79) on a sharp decline in volume. It has held and Thursday it bounced on rising, average volume. Solid money flow continues to lead even as it makes this test. Solid breakout and good test. Looking for the breakout to resume on some more rising volume. Another solid leader in fundamentals growth with a strong pattern.
Volume: 242.315K Avg Volume: 227.659K
BUY POINT: $30.68 Volume=300K Target=$35.95 Stop=$29.62
POSITION: EQJ BF - Feb. $30c (59 delta) &/or Stock

Play Date: 10/26/2006
WFR (Memc Electronic--$38.83; +1.82; optionable): Semiconductor integrated circuits
http://biz.yahoo.com/p/w/wfr.html
EARNINGS: Announced after the close Thursday
STATUS: Reverse head and shoulders. WFR gapped higher on solid above average volume Thursday ahead of its earnings, clearing the mid-October high that made something of a hump to a short 6 week double bottom on the 200 day SMA (35.24). This is part of a larger 6 month base. After hours WFR reported earnings and surged on the news, then faded late in the after hours toward the closing price. Looking for WFR to give us an entry early, but we want to see it open and then start to move higher. Another solid leader in fundamentals growth as well as a nice pattern.
Volume: 6.313M Avg Volume: 4.241M
BUY POINT: $39.65 Volume=5M Target=$47.45 Stop=$37.45
POSITION: WFR DH - Apr. $40c (54 delta) &/or Stock

Continuing ready to move:
Play Date: 10/21/2006
GME (Gamestop--$51.56; +1.88; optionable): Electronics games stores
http://biz.yahoo.com/p/g/gme.html
STATUS: Test breakout. Looked on the ropes Wednesday, falling to the 18 day EMA and slipping through that level. It held and bounced right back Thursday on continued below average volume, testing the early October breakout from its six month base. Nice hold and now looks ready to make its move.
Volume: 915.9K Avg Volume: 1.343M
BUY POINT: $52.21 Volume=1.7M Target=$60.45 Stop=$50.22
POSITION: GME AJ - Jan. $50c (56 delta) or GME DK - Apr. $55c (45 delta) &/or Stock
