New Plays:

Upside:

Play Date: 11/06/2006
CBG (CB Richard Ellis--$29.26; +0.87; optionable): Property management
http://biz.yahoo.com/p/c/cbg.html
STATUS: Test breakout. Big breakout from a 6 month reverse head and shoulders base in late October that took CBG back to its May high (29.30 closing). It tried to extend the move on Halloween but faded to start the month along with most stocks. It held near support at the 10 day EMA (28.17), however, working laterally. Monday it was up again, but volume did not follow it. Excellent money flow is leading higher as CBG, a top earnings grower in the market, sets up for a run to a new high. Excellent pattern and excellent action ready to take it higher.
Volume: 1.326M Avg Volume: 2.044M
BUY POINT: $29.88 Volume=2.4M Target=$35.95 Stop=$28.08
POSITION: CBG CF - Mar. $30c (54 delta) &/or Stock

Play Date: 11/06/2006
CRM (Salesforce.com--$42.01; +1.53; optionable): On-demand customer relationship management
http://biz.yahoo.com/p/c/crm.html
STATUS: Reverse head and shoulders. Taking another look at CRM after it tested the 50 day EMA (37.33) to start the month and then rebounding the past two sessions on a solid shot of rising, above average volume. This move has taken CRM back to the neckline in the 10 month base. Strong money flow is leading higher and CRM looks ready to follow it. Solid pattern, solid market leader.
Volume: 2.167M Avg Volume: 2.003M
BUY POINT: $42.34 Volume=3M Target=$49.95 Stop=$39.68
POSITION: CRM BH - Feb. $40c (65 delta) &/or Stock

Play Date: 11/06/2006
CSCO (Cisco--$24.68; +0.91; optionable): PC networking equipment, etc.
http://biz.yahoo.com/p/c/csco.html
EARNINGS: 11-8-06 after the close
STATUS: Breakout test. CSCO enjoyed a strong run from the August low, breaking out in early September from its 25 week base. Strong volume on the move and then a run higher up the 18 day EMA (24.09) to mid-October. It has come back to test, holding the 50 day EMA (23.21) twice. Volume surged Monday as the stock price did the same, moving higher ahead of earnings. Anticipating a solid result.
Volume: 74.562M Avg Volume: 50.192M
BUY POINT: $24.89 Volume=50M Target=$28.95 Stop=$23.95
POSITION: CYQ DE - Apr. $25c (52 delta) &/or Stock

Play Date: 11/06/2006
IGT (International Game Technology--$43.19; +1.73; optionable): Computerized gaming machines
http://biz.yahoo.com/p/i/igt.html
STATUS: Test breakout. Nice price and volume action Monday as IGT cleared some resistance in a five week lateral move. That break higher looks to be the start of a breakout from a 2.5 year base. Prior to this long basing period IGT enjoyed a huge move. After this base it looks ready to put together another good, long run.
Volume: 3.868M Avg Volume: 2.247M
BUY POINT: $43.45 Volume=2.3M Target=$49.95 Stop=$41.88
POSITION: IGX DH - Apr. $40c (65 delta) &/or Stock

Play Date: 11/06/2006
VOL (Volt Information Science--$41.43; +1.27; no options): Staffing, telecom services
http://biz.yahoo.com/p/v/vol.html
STATUS: Cup. VOL is working through an 18 week base. It rallied off the lows in October and then slipped into the current three week lateral move above the 50 day EMA (39.09), setting up for its next move higher. Has rallied Friday and Monday, but volume remained low. Looking for that volume to break higher as VOL moves through the resistance.
Volume: 196.5K Avg Volume: 340.551K
BUY POINT: $41.98 Volume=400K Target=$49.95 Stop=$39.95
POSITION: - Stock (no option chain)

SUBSCRIBER PORTFOLIO: These are stocks subscribers suggest by vote that we put in a portfolio to track and move into the stocks if they perform well. AAPL, AKAM, CELG, DRIV, GME, GOOG, ISE, MA, MRVL, NVDA, WEBX

AAPL: Moved back over the 18 day EMA though no volume.

AKAM: Volume rallied as AKAM posted a nice move off the 50 day EMA. Liked to see this move as it confirmed the early leadership was still in the game.

DRIV: Trying to breakaway from that lateral move after the late October gap.

ISE: Held the 50 day EMA after that sell off last week. Now needs to rebound on stronger volume.

MA: Wow.

MRVL: Broke back above the 90 day SMA Friday and held on Monday. Want to see the volume jump back up as it stretches this break through resistance.

WEBX: Still working laterally over the 50 day EMA after frittering away its breakout in late October.
