THE PLAYS

Good Movers: AOB; AAPL; CRM; HOC; ICE; MA

Weekend play results:
CNH: Moved higher but volume lagged
GYMB: Started higher on stronger volume, but could not drive it home
QGEN: Pretty wild session but rebounded to hold the lateral move.
AKAM: Held steady on lower, below average volume
MA: Strong move higher
NVEC: Ran higher but could not hold the move. Still ready to go.

New Plays:

Upside:

Play Date: 11/13/2006
ANAD (Anadigics--$8.92; +0.65; optionable): Semiconductor integrated circuits
http://biz.yahoo.com/p/a/anad.html
STATUS: Cup w/handle. Volume surged above average Monday as ANAD cleared the highs in the 10 week handle to its 26 week base. Strong money flow is surging higher ahead of price, complementing the strong 7 to 4 accumulation (7 up price weeks on rising volume to 4 down price weeks on rising volume). Ready to move in on a continued breakout and then on a successful test.
Volume: 2.093M Avg Volume: 1.357M
BUY POINT: $9.08 Volume=1.4M Target=$11.45 Stop=$8.44
POSITION: AKQ DU - Apr. $7.50c (73 delta) &/or Stock

Play Date: 11/13/2006
FTEK (Fuel Tech--$23.70; +1.17; optionable): Air pollution control, process optimization
http://biz.yahoo.com/p/f/ftek.html
STATUS: Breakout test. FTEK jumped out of a 6 month reverse head and shoulders base in October and has rallied since. It is currently making its second test of that breakout, tapping at the 10 day EMA (21.77) on the Friday and Monday low and rebounding intraday. Monday it rebounded and put on a good move, looking to start the next bounce higher in the breakout run. A strong stock will make 4 to 5 bounces off the 10 or 18 day EMA before it needs a deeper test. That leaves FTEK plenty of room upside to continue the run and make us some good coin. Strong stock establishing itself as a market leader.
Volume: 423.415K Avg Volume: 295.446K
BUY POINT: $23.95 Volume=350K Target=$28.85 Stop=$22.02
POSITION: FQF CX - Mar. $22.50c (63 delta) &/or Stock

Play Date: 11/13/2006
NSC (Norfolk Southern--$52.68; +0.07; optionable): Railroads
http://biz.yahoo.com/p/n/nsc.html
STATUS: Cup w/handle. Very nicely formed three week handle to its 6.5 month base. Strong surge to end October finished the right side of the pattern, and this is one nice shakeout with the range narrowing and holding near support at the 10 day EMA (52.38) as it does. Excellent pattern and when it gets going NSC can rip off large chunks of real estate.
Volume: 2.218M Avg Volume: 3.332M
BUY POINT: $54.08 Volume=5M Target=$62.38 Stop=$51.95
POSITION: NSC CK - Mar. $55c (54 delta) or NSC CJ - Mar. $50c (65 delta) &/or Stock

Play Date: 11/13/2006
SAY (Satyam Computer Services--$22.61; +0.72; optionable): IT services
http://biz.yahoo.com/p/s/say.html
STATUS: Cup w/handle breakout. Volume jumped back above average Monday as SAY started the breakout from a 7.5 month base. Moving to a new all-time high on that strong trade. SAY has moved into market leadership with some strong fundamentals growth rates on top of an excellent technical pattern. Ready to move in as SAY continues higher on more solid trade.
Volume: 1.578M Avg Volume: 1.008M
BUY POINT: $22.84 Volume=1.1M Target=$27.45 Stop=$21.54
POSITION: SAY DX - Apr. $22.50c (58 delta) &/or Stock
