We apologize for the late delivery. A wind storm that downed some power lines was the culprit
THE PLAYS
Tuesday night play results:
BONT: Held steady at the 18 day EMA
IAAC: Tried to make the run on strong volume but reversed.
ININ: Tried to move higher but faded back for a modest loss
INTC: Solid volume and price move.
AKAM: Faded to the 50 day SMA.
New Plays:
Upside:
Play Date: 11/15/2006
HIBB (Hibbett Sporting Good--$30.15; +1.17; optionable): Sporting Goods stores
http://biz.yahoo.com/p/h/hibb.html
STATUS: Cup w/handle. HIBB enjoyed some good volume as it tried to make the breakout from its 9 month base, buoyed by some merger talk in the sector along with some good earnings. Rather unheralded, but all it does is form bases, breakout, run higher. That has put it in position for a split announcement each of the prior four years. A breakout and run here puts it in contention for yet another one.

BUY POINT: $30.31 Volume=350K Target=$35.95 Stop=$28.57
POSITION: QQX DF - Apr. $30c (54 delta, 61 OI) &/or Stock

Play Date: 11/15/2006
INAP (Internap Network--$17.60; +0.50; optionable): Internet provider
http://biz.yahoo.com/p/i/inap.html
STATUS: Ascending base. Strong volume on the upside sessions the past week, and Wednesday was no exception. Trying to make a clean breakaway move from its 7 month base. Broke higher in early October but could not extend. Now after a 9 week lateral move this volume looks ready to shove it into overdrive.

POSITION: IIP DW - Apr. $17.50c (56 delta, 211 OI) &/or Stock

SMSI (Smith Micro Software--$16.85; +0.81; optionable): Software
http://biz.yahoo.com/p/s/smsi.html
STATUS: Test 50 day EMA. Strong volume jumped in on Wednesday as SMSI got some traction off the lateral move over the 50 day EMA (15.43). This test follows the October breakout from a 3 month cup with handle and run higher. Looking for this test to give us a good entry point as SMSI sets up to make us some money once again.
Volume: 120.24K Avg Volume: 110K
BUY POINT: $17.11 Volume=165K Target=$20.55 Stop=$15.91
POSITION: QPM DW - Apr. $17.50c (52 delta) &/or Stock

Play Date: 11/15/2006
STEC (Simple Technology--$8.92; +0.47; optionable): Data storage devices
http://biz.yahoo.com/p/s/stec.html
STATUS: Test 50 day EMA. Strong rally August through mid-October took STEC right up to a new all-time high. It needed a rest after that run and before taking on the old high, coming back and undercutting the 50 day EMA (8.08) before a nice rebound last week. Good shakeout, and volume really pouring in on the rebound back up. Money flow is rallying ahead of price, and with this volume we are ready to move in as STEC continues its break higher.
Volume: 1.087M Avg Volume: 550.6K
BUY POINT: $9.15 Volume=650K Target=$10.98 Stop=$8.51
POSITION: SQR BU - Feb. $7.50c (65 delta, 105 OI) &/or Stock

AKAM: Hmmm. High volume fade to the 50 day. Still in the pattern but needs to hold here.
