2) COGO: Volume is back up as COGO continues off the 50 day EMA
3) NUVO: Surging volume as it looks to have formed a great handle.
4) AKAM: Volume is up as AKAM moves toward the breakout.
5) CTRP: Holding the 10 day EMA.
6) VCLK: Excellent lateral consolidation.

NEW PLAYS:

Upside plays:

Play Date: 11/20/2006
AMX (America Movil--$45.08; +1.91; optionable): Wireless telecom, Latin America
http://biz.yahoo.com/p/a/amx.html
STATUS: Ascending base. Made us some money on its prior run from September to October after breakout out from a reverse head and shoulders base. Nice run to 44 and then consolidated the run with the recent 4 week ascending pattern over the 18 day EMA (43.19), refusing to give up its gains. Monday it found its new legs and broke higher through the resistance at 44 on a strong shot of above average volume. Moving to a new high and ready to move in as it continues the break.
Volume: 5.397M Avg Volume: 3.876M
BUY POINT: $45.32 Volume=4M Target=$53.95 Stop=$42.95
POSITION: AMX BI - Feb. $45c (56 delta) &/or Stock

Play Date: 11/20/2006
ASMI (ASM International--$20.79; -0.05; optionable): Chip equipment
http://biz.yahoo.com/p/a/asmi.html
STATUS: Test breakout. Broke out from a 7 month cup with handle base to start the month, rallying to 21 to start last week. It pulled back with the rest of the market to end last week, and then gapped lower to the 10 day EMA (20.50) Monday before rebounding to close flat. Nice test of the move and now looking for ASMI to continue the breakout run after this first test. Looking for this move to take ASMI to a new all-time high.
Volume: 175.244K Avg Volume: 129.415K
BUY POINT: $21.11 Volume=194K Target=$25.32 Stop=$20.25
POSITION: IQB CD - Mar. $20c (64 delta) &/or Stock

Play Date: 11/20/2006
COGO (Comtech Group--$17.07; +0.71; optionable): LCD modules, etc.
http://biz.yahoo.com/p/c/cogo.html
STATUS: Breakout test. COGO broke out from a 20 week cup with handle in late October, rallied but then faded back to test the move, tapping and holding the 50 day EMA (15.16) on the low and holding. It started to rebound Friday on stronger trade, and Monday was up again on even stronger volume. Money flow is leading higher and COGO is ready to follow it to a new all-time high. A strong stocks with some of the best fundamental growth rates to go along with the pattern.
Volume: 1.553M Avg Volume: 716.461K
BUY POINT: $17.32 Volume=850K Target=$20.78 Stop=$16.21
POSITION: UWK CW - Mar. $17.50c (54 delta) &/or Stock

Play Date: 11/20/2006
NUVO (Nuvelo--$19.83; +0.14; optionable): Biotechnology
http://biz.yahoo.com/p/n/nuvo.html
STATUS: Double bottom w/handle. Textbook 12 week base has formed using the 200 day SMA (17.41) as support for the second leg hit in the first week of November. A solid price and volume move off that level and then as pullback the past three sessions to form a handle to the base. Volume exploded higher Monday. Money flow is surging higher ahead of price and NUVO looks ripe to follow it.
Volume: 1.121M Avg Volume: 473.724K
BUY POINT: $20.42 Volume=500K Target=$24.58 Stop=$19.15
POSITION: CDQ DD - Apr. $20c (53 delta) &/or Stock

CONTINUING PLAYS:

Upside:

Play Date: 11/11/2006
AKAM (Akami Technologies--$50.37; +1.12; optionable): Internet traffic control, etc.
http://biz.yahoo.com/p/a/akam.html
STATUS: Double bottom w/handle. Volume jumped up to average Monday as AKAM came off the 18 day EMA (48.86), ready to make that breakout. Looks solid. To recap: Lower and lower volume to end the week as AKAM held above the 50 day SMA (47.12) after a higher volume thud lower Wednesday. Recovered nicely to hold the handle and continue the pattern. Still being patient and waiting for AKAM to show us a strong volume break higher. Solid leader taking a good rest and setting up another good buy.
Volume: 5.674M Avg Volume: 5.244M
BUY POINT: $50.75 Volume=7.5M Target=$60.95 Stop=$48.21
POSITION: UMU BJ - Feb. $50c (55 delta) &/or Stock
http://www.investmenthouse.com/ct/akam.html

Play Date: 11/18/2006
CTRP (Ctrip.com International--$56.10; +0.10; optionable): Chinese travel service
http://biz.yahoo.com/p/c/ctrp.html
STATUS: Test breakout. Still holding the 10 day EMA (55.46) as volume remains above average on the test of the 10 day EMA (55.46), acting as near support in the breakout test. Solid. To recap: Nice blast higher on strong volume from a 17 week base the second week of November. Surged to 60 on the move and then needed a breather, coming back Thursday and Friday to test near support at the 10 day EMA (55.32). Excellent breakout, run, and test. Strong money flow led the way, and it is holding up nicely as it makes the test. Looking for it to bounce off the Friday doji at the 10 day EMA to give us the buy point.
Volume: 542.255K Avg Volume: 399.95K
BUY POINT: $56.72 Volume=600K Target=$67.95 Stop=$54.95

Play Date: 11/18/2006
CYMI (Cymer--$48.98; +0.75; optionable): Chip equipment lasers
http://biz.yahoo.com/p/c/cymi.html
STATUS: Cup w/handle. Volume edged higher but was still below average as CYMI tested the 10 day EMA (47.87) once again and then posted a modest gain. A lot of its brethren are breaking higher and CYMI is set to do the dame. To recap: CYMI has formed a short but sweet 5 week base that is acting as the handle to a larger 7 month cup with handle base. Solid break higher off the 50 day EMA (45.80) a week back and then a nice low volume test back to the 10 day EMA to end last week. One of those stocks we were talking about that has set up a good pattern, made a good move, and is coming back to test and is set for the next bounce. Has plenty of room ahead to make us a nice gain without the need to plow new ground, but it has a good shot of heading toward a new all-time high on the next strong run.
Volume: 683.303K Avg Volume: 873.814K
BUY POINT: $49.05 Volume=1.2M Target=$56.45 Stop=$47.48
POSITION: CQG BJ - Feb. $50c (54 delta) &/or Stock

Play Date: 11/09/2006
HMSY (HMS Holdings--$14.26; +0.30; no options): Cost containment and payment accuracy services for US government healthcare programs.
http://biz.yahoo.com/p/h/hmsy.html
STATUS: Breakout test. Volume finally came back in on Monday as it moved to average as HMSY started to move off of the 18 day EMA (14.00), looking to get the breakout move going again. Money flow continues to lead as HMSY is ready to break higher from the 8 week pattern.
Volume: 203.335K Avg Volume: 239.02K

Play Date: 11/15/2006
SMSI (Smith Micro Software--$16.94; -0.01; optionable): Software
http://biz.yahoo.com/p/s/smsi.html
STATUS: Test 50 day EMA. Continues working laterally in a tight range, tapping the 18 day EMA (16.42) on the Monday low and rebounding to close flat. Making a higher low and ready to make the next move and continue its breakout move. To recap: Strong volume jumped in on Wednesday as SMSI got some traction off the lateral move over the 50 day EMA (15.60). This test follows the October breakout from a 3 month cup with handle and run higher. Looking for this test to give us a good entry point as SMSI sets up to make us some money once again.
Volume: 547.791K Avg Volume: 927.055K
BUY POINT: $17.11 Volume=165K Target=$20.55 Stop=$15.91
POSITION: QPM DW - Apr. $17.50c (52 delta) &/or Stock

Play Date: 11/16/2006
SOHU (Sohu.com--$25.01; +0.01; optionable): Chinese internet
http://biz.yahoo.com/p/s/sohu.html
STATUS: Double bottom w/handle. SOHU is working laterally the past two sessions, not yet able to continue its Thursday break higher in both price and volume. Low volume as it works laterally, resting for the next move higher. Looks ready to follow that money higher. To recap: This sector is running and gunning, and SOHU was breaking higher Thursday on strong, above average volume. Nice breakout from its 7 month base last Monday, and Thursday it starting running again. Looking to move in as it continues its nice action, and it has plenty of room to run upside.
Volume: 375.032K Avg Volume: 564.214K
BUY POINT: $25.31 Volume=1M Target=$29.95 Stop=$23.89
POSITION: UZK CE - Mar. $25c (53 delta) &/or Stock

Play Date: 11/18/2006
VCLK (Valueclick--$22.21; +0.10; optionable): Internet advertising services
http://biz.yahoo.com/p/v/vclk.html
STATUS: Test breakout. Low volume Monday as VCLK made a half-hearted effort at continuing the breakout. Still solid and looking for volume to kick in as it continues higher on the breakout run. To recap: VCLK broke out from a 10 month base to start November. Huge break that made us some good money. It worked latterly and then broke higher again Tuesday. It spent the rest of the week coming back to test, showing an excellent doji Friday at the 10 day EMA (21.77). Very nice test is setting it up for the next break higher as VCLK looks for a new all-time high.
