New Plays:

Upside:

Play Date: 01/24/2007
CRM (Salesforce.com--$42.42; +1.14; optionable): Customer relationship management (get it? CRM?)
http://biz.yahoo.com/p/c/crm.html
EARNINGS: Mid-February
STATUS: Double bottom w/handle. Volume jumped well above average Wednesday as CRM moved off the 10 day EMA (41.37) that acted as support for the handle to its 10 week base. This is part of a larger year long reverse head and shoulders base that is setting up for the breakout. That solid volume is ready to send it higher and we are ready to move in as it shows the breakout.
Volume: 2.26M Avg Volume: 1.478M
BUY POINT: $42.84 Volume=1.5M Target=$51.45 Stop=$40.98
POSITION: CRM EH - June $40c (65 delta) &/or Stock

Play Date: 01/24/2007
GIGM (Gigamedia--$11.11; +0.44; optionable): Entertainment software, etc., Taiwan
http://biz.yahoo.com/p/g/gigm.html
EARNINGS: 11-9-07
STATUS: Cup. Surging higher on stronger, above average volume is setting GIGM up for a break to a 7 year high. Looking to move in as it continues higher and then again on a test of this move.
Volume: 2.101M Avg Volume: 1.262M
BUY POINT: $11.27 Volume=1.3M Target=$13.75 Stop=$10.48
POSITION: GBU GB - July $10c (65 delta) &/or Stock

Play Date: 01/24/2007
TSM (Taiwan Semiconductor--$11.48; +0.23; optionable): Semiconductor integrated circuits
http://biz.yahoo.com/p/t/tsm.html
EARNINGS: 1-23-07
STATUS: Breakout test. TSM broke out form a short 5 week double bottom two weeks back and spent last week in the chip selling coming back to test that gap higher, holding near support at the 18 day EMA as it filled the gap. It basically went about its own business as its brethren were slaughtered. Always interesting to see that kind of relative strength. This is part of a larger 13 month reverse head and shoulders base. Really like how TMS used the market selling to simply set up for a higher low to continue its move higher. Looking for earnings to push it to the breakout.
Volume: 11.618M Avg Volume: 11.207M
BUY POINT: $11.57 Volume=11M Target=$13.95 Stop=$10.97
POSITION: TSM GB - July $10c (78 delta) &/or Stock
http://www.investmenthouse.com/cd/tsm.html

Play Date: 01/24/2007
VTIV (Ventiv Health--$36.07; +0.82; optionable): Commercialization services to the pharma and life sciences industries
http://biz.yahoo.com/p/v/vtiv.html
EARNINGS: Early February
STATUS: Test breakout. Galloping toward a new all-time high after testing the breakout from a 9 month base. Excellent fundamentals go hand in hand with the strong pattern. Ready to move in as VTIV makes its break.
Volume: 166.798K Avg Volume: 316.785K
BUY POINT: $36.38 Volume=450K Target=$41.95 Stop=$34.74
POSITION: QBP GG - July $35c (60 delta, low OI) &/or Stock

AAPL, AKAM, CELG, DRIV, GME, GOOG, ISE, MA, MRVL, NVDA, WEBX

AAPL: Doji at the 50 day EMA. Looking for AAPL to hold around this point and try a rebound.

AKAM: Nice action. Jumping off the 50 day EMA on rising, above average volume.

DRIV: Interesting. Volume jumped higher above average as it turned up off of support at 50.

GOOG: Loved the YHOO earnings, surging off the 50 day EMA on rising volume.
