MON: Tested lower, held the 10 day EMA, and started back up.
New Plays:

Play Date: 02/03/2007
ANF (Abercrombie & Fitch--$80.77; -0.74; optionable): Apparel stores with racy ads
http://biz.yahoo.com/p/a/anf.html
EARNINGS: 2-21-07
STATUS: Test breakout. ANF exposed a solid break higher last week, coming off the 18 day EMA (78.16) that worked as the bottom of the two week base to the 13 week cup with handle base. The move took ANF to a new all-time high on rising, above average volume. Friday it tested back on lower, below average volume, tapping 80 on the low and bouncing to recoup some of the loss. May test back a bit more here toward the 10 day EMA (79.41) before continuing higher. Ready to move in as it continues back up off the breakout test. Of course if Friday was all it comes back we will be ready to move in as it continues back up.

AOB (American Oriental Bioengineering--$13.50; +0.05; optionable): Biotechnology, plant-base pharma products in China
http://biz.yahoo.com/p/a/aob.html
STATUS: Ascending base. Nice break higher off the 18 day EMA (12.86) Thursday on rising but below average volume could not extend Friday. That left AOB still in its 9 week base formed making some higher lows at that near support. Positive 2:0 accumulation in the base (2 up price weeks on rising volume to 0 down price weeks on rising volume) shows the buyers in charge. Looking for some more traded as AOB continues higher and posts the breakout. Solid fundamentals to go with the strong pattern, planting the seeds of the breakout.

CELG (Celgene--$55.41; -0.69; optionable): Biotechnology
http://biz.yahoo.com/p/c/celg.html
EARNINGS: 2-1-07
STATUS: Test 50 day EMA. Strong earnings drove CELG sharply higher Thursday, moving it off the 90 day MA (52.97) on the test back from the December all-time high. One of the top 2006 stocks it had to work through some profit taking to start the year. It held this support and jumped above the 50 day EMA (54.89) on the earnings results, then tested Friday. Looking to start some positions as CELG moves through the 50 day SMA (56.27). Likely still has some basing to do, but on a good surge we will start taking positions, then use the tests to add as it continues the move.
Volume: 2.903M Avg Volume: 4.184M
BUY POINT: $56.38 Volume=500K Target=$64.95 Stop=$54.68
POSITION: LQH GK - July $55c (60 delta) &/or Stock

DLLR (Dollar Financial--$29.95; +0.01; no options): Credit services
http://biz.yahoo.com/p/d/dllr.html
EARNINGS: 1-31-07
STATUS: Breakout test. Big surge to end January, breaking DLLR out of its 8 week base that consolidated the nice September to November run. Struggled to start this month, but has held at the 10 day EMA (29.39) on the test, and that keeps the breakout alive as well. Strong volume on the breakout as it followed money flow higher. Looking for it to finish this test and then resume the move higher. That is when we move in to ride the new high run.
Volume: 237.511K Avg Volume: 233.058K

HWCC (Houston Wire & Cable Co.--$24.83; +0.69; optionable): Specialty wires and cables
http://biz.yahoo.com/p/h/hwcc.html
EARNINGS: 3-14-07
STATUS: Cup w/handle. Strong volume as HWCC started the breakout move Friday, clearing the handle in a 10 week base. Strong 3:1 accumulation in the base (3 up price weeks on rising volume to 1 down price weeks on rising volume) shows the kind of buying that will send it far on this breakout. Top stocks in terms of fundamentals growth to go along with its technical pattern. A new issue in June 2006 is ready to turn on the power to a new all-time high.
Volume: 608.581K Avg Volume: 427.658K
BUY POINT: $25.25 Volume=500K Target=$29.95 Stop=$23.55
POSITION: UKL FE - June $25c (57 delta) &/or Stock

AAPL, AKAM, CELG, DRIV, GME, GOOG, ISE, MA, MRVL, NVDA, WEBX
AAPL: Slipped a bit lower but held the 90 day SMA and closed near 85 again. Still has work to do.
CELG: See above play.
GME: Tapped the 50 day EMA and stalled. Looks like a rollover even after the good ERTS earnings.
ISE: Ready to roll over again, testing the 200 day SMA breakdown and falling back.
MRVL: Also in a downtrend and looks to be failing a test of near resistance at the 10 day EMA.
WEBX: Still surging.
