NUVA: Breaking higher and close to the breakout point
POT: Gapped higher and held the 10 day EMA on the close.

STATUS: Breakout. AH surged Wednesday on a nice jump in volume, clearing a short consolidation and continuing its breakout move that started on the earnings announcement. Strong move out of a 10 month double bottom with handle base, and this is the first test of that move. Looking to take some positions as it continues the breakout move and will then look to add as it makes the next successful test.

STATUS: Reverse head and shoulders. ASCA is making the breakout move from a 9 week pattern that formed using the 50 day EMA (30) as support on the low. This base is consolidating the November breakout from a 17 month double bottom with handle base. Volume has surged as ASCA makes the breakout to a new all-time high, and we are looking to start some positions as it continues the breakout.

STATUS: Breakout test. VSAT broke out from a 9 month cup with handle base in late January, posting a nice breakout run on strong volume. It is making the first test of that breakout, coming back to test and hold the 10 day EMA (32.17). It held that level and then broke higher again this week. Nice successful test of the breakout and ready to take positions as it continues higher.

STATUS: Put. Formed a big base from 2005 through late 2006, and was unable to make the breakout move. It drifted higher and then gapped lower to start the new year. It recovered some ground but then gaped lower and sold off through the 90 day SMA (34.85) when earnings came out. It rebounded back to test that level but it could not punch back through. Wednesday SYY turned lower on a sharp increase in above average volume. Looking to move in as it continues this break lower. A move to the target lands a 52%ish gain.
