New Plays:

Upside:

Play Date: 02/07/2007
AAPL (Apple Computer--$86.15; +2.00; optionable): iPods
http://biz.yahoo.com/p/a/aapl.html
STATUS: Test 90 day MA. AAPL is bouncing off the 90 day MA on rising, average trade after Jobs announces he wants the record companies to lift recording limitations. We have been looking for a strong break higher after this past test. Some more volume and a break through the 50 day EMA (86.10 is what we want to see.
Volume: 38.181M Avg Volume: 34.44M
BUY POINT: $86.72 Volume=42M Target=$99.75 Stop=$83.25
POSITION: QAA GQ - July $85c (61 delta) &/or Stock

Play Date: 02/07/2007
AH (Armor Holdings--$65.05; +1.34; optionable): Body armor, vehicle armor
http://biz.yahoo.com/p/a/ah.html
EARNINGS: 1-31-07
STATUS: Breakout. AH surged Wednesday on a nice jump in volume, clearing a short consolidation and continuing its breakout move that started on the earnings announcement. Strong move out of a 10 month double bottom with handle base, and this is the first test of that move. Looking to take some positions as it continues the breakout move and will then look to add as it makes the next successful test.
Volume: 1.231M Avg Volume: 655.684K
BUY POINT: $65.38 Volume=700K Target=$73.85 Stop=$62.45
POSITION: AH EM - May $65c (55 delta) &/or Stock

Play Date: 02/07/2007
CMG (Chipotle Mexican Grill--$61.57; +0.99; optionable): Fast food McDonald's spin-off
http://biz.yahoo.com/p/c/cmg.html
EARNINGS: 2-15-07
STATUS: Ascending base. Good volume surge and a price breakout Wednesday to go along with it as CMG clears a 10 week base. Part of a larger 9 month cup pattern and looking solid here as it starts a run toward the highs of the pattern up at 68. Money flow is leading the way and looking for a good run from CMG into earnings to give us a nice gain we can take off the grill.
Volume: 748.5K Avg Volume: 621.258K
BUY POINT: $61.85 Volume=800K Target=$69.95 Stop=$59.77
POSITION: CMG FL - June $60c (63 delta) &/or Stock
http://www.investmenthouse.com/cd/cmg.html

Play Date: 02/07/2007
MOS (Mosaic Company--$20.69; -0.02; optionable): Crop nutrient and animal feed products (chemicals such as potash, phosphates, nitrogen)
http://biz.yahoo.com/p/m/mos.html
EARNINGS: 1-29-07
STATUS: Test breakout. MOS broke out from a 21 month base in late October, rallying to 23 on that move. It is now working through a 9 week base consolidating that move, using the 90 day MA (20.02) as support as its range narrows above this support. Money flow has started back up ahead of price and we are looking for MOS to follow it higher. Strong volume on the upside sessions shows accumulation during the base, and looking for a return of that volume as MOS makes its break higher.
Volume: 1.756M Avg Volume: 1.974M
BUY POINT: $21.38 Volume=3M Target=$25.75 Stop=$19.88
POSITION: MOS FD - June $20c (64 delta) &/or Stock

SUBSCRIBER PORTFOLIO: These are stocks subscribers suggest by vote that we put in a portfolio to track and move into the stocks if they perform well. If you have any suggestions for additions or deletions, email us. We don't cover them all each report, just when something interesting is developing.

AAPL, AKAM, CELG, DRIV, GME, GOOG, ISE, MA, MRVL, NVDA, WEBX

AAPL: See above

AKAM: Reported earnings after hours and was down, up, and then down, but still holding some of its session gains.

DRIV: Held the 200 day SMA and reversed on strong volume. Maybe this is it after that decline.

ISE: Still rebounding on strong volume.

MA: Volume was up as MA starts higher off the 10 day EMA. May be ready to make the move.

NVDA: Gaining strength as it recovers to the 50 day SMA.

WEBX: Very modest 2-day test and then back off to the race Wednesday.
