THE PLAYS
Good Movers: ACH; AIR; ANST; BITS; CRM; GGB; GS; IYT; MON; PTNR; RIO; VMED; WEBX; WFR; XING
Tuesday night play results:
ATHR: Low volume consolidation at the 10 day EMA continues
GGB: Gapped higher on continued strong volume
IYT: Surged higher on strong volume
NTGR: Tried to rally through the 90 day MA but reversed to close at that level.
New Plays:
Upside:
Play Date: 02/14/2007
BKE (Buckle, Inc.--$36.04; -0.23; no options): Apparel stores
http://biz.yahoo.com/p/b/bke.html
STATUS: Test breakout. BKE surged out of a 7 week flat base last week, rallying to a new all0time high on another big sure in volume. It has faded this week on lower and lower trade, halting Wednesday well above the 10 day EMA (35.26) and the January highs in the base at that point as well. It may come back further to test, but it is being stingy with its gains; nothing wrong with that. We want to move in as it rebounds on an uptick in volume. Solid fundamentals growth rates to go with the solid technical pattern.

CVA (Covanta Holding--$24.00; +0.43; optionable): Waste disposal, energy, and specialty insurance services
http://biz.yahoo.com/p/c/cva.html
STATUS: Test breakout. CVA surged out of a nicely formed 13 week ascending base in late January, rallying to 23 on that move on some strong volume. It has tested the move this month, coming back to 23, holding above the breakout on very low volume. It held and then bounced Wednesday on a return of above average volume. A market leader knocking on the door of a new all-time high. Looking for continued solid volume as it makes the move.

LOGI (Logitech Intl.--$28.68; +0.65; optionable): PC peripherals (webcams, etc.)
http://biz.yahoo.com/p/l/logi.html
EARNINGS: Reported1-17-07
STATUS: Flat base. LOGI is working laterally, coming back to test the 50 day EMA (28.25) the past three sessions on below average volume. It is continuing a 10 week base that is consolidating the October breakout and run through early December from a 10 month cup base. Strong money flow continues higher ahead of the price, and while quiet now, we are looking for LOGI to follow that money flow higher with a big breakout.

Continuing plays ready to move:
Play Date: 02/10/2007
RATE (Bankrate--$42.96; +0.04; optionable): Online banking services
http://biz.yahoo.com/p/r/rate.html
EARNINGS: 2-6-07
STATUS: Breakout test. Very nice low volume test of the 10 day EMA (42.29) after last week's break higher on earnings. The move took it out of an 8 week base that acted as the handle of a larger 9 month cup with handle. Just looking for some strong volume as it rebounds to move into this solid stock.
Volume: 145.498K Avg Volume: 348.669K
BUY POINT: $44.95 Volume=500K Target=$53.95 Stop=$41.78

SUBSCRIBER PORTFOLIO: These are stocks subscribers suggest by vote that we put in a portfolio to track and move into the stocks if they perform well. If you have any suggestions for additions or deletions, email us. We don't cover them all each report, just when something interesting is developing.
AAPL, AKAM, CELG, DRIV, GME, GOOG, ISE, MA, MRVL, NVDA, WEBX
AAPL: Still working laterally over the 90 day MA on very low volume. This is the rest it needs.
DRIV: Has found its mojo and continues driving higher off of that 200 day SMA test. The buyers came in strong there. Want to see it test this move and then resume. That is when we will look at new positions.
GOOG: Rallied back to the 90 day MA on stronger volume. This is where it shows us what it has in the tank right now.
MA: Nice hold at the 50 day EMA and bouncing Wednesday though lower volume now.
Good Investing!
