New Plays:

Upside:

Play Date: 03/21/2007
AMKR (Amkor Technology--$12.62; +0.55; optionable): Semiconductor integrated circuits
http://biz.yahoo.com/p/a/amkr.html
EARNINGS: Announced 2-7-07
STATUS: Ascending base. Volume moved above average for the first time in three weeks as AMKR broke higher from a 10 week ascending base along the 18 day EMA (11.83). This short base consolidated the early January breakout from an 8 month cup with handle base; nice base-on-base action that really wrings out the sellers. Strong money flow is leading higher. Solid fundamentals growth to go along with the strong pattern. Strong 4 to 0 accumulation in the short base (4 up price weeks on rising volume to 0 down price weeks on rising volume) shows plenty of buying. Very solid underpinnings to send it higher.
Volume: 4.123M Avg Volume: 3.06M
BUY POINT: $12.77 Volume=3.2M Target=$15.35 Stop=$11.88
POSITION: QEL IV - Sept. $12.50c (61 delta) &/or Stock

Play Date: 03/21/2007
ISE (International Securities Exchange--$48.24; +1.18; optionable)
http://biz.yahoo.com/p/i/ise.html
EARNINGS: 4-25-07
STATUS: Cup. A great mover for us to end 2006, ISE needed to consolidate and it is doing so with the current 17 week base. It is starting to turn back up from the bottom that formed using the 200 day SMA (45.02) as support. Money flow is surging higher ahead of price and when ISE takes off it is likely to cover some ground in a hurry.
Volume: 538.5K Avg Volume: 825.543K
BUY POINT: $49.44 Volume=1.2M Target=$55.45 Stop=$46.42
POSITION: ISE GI - July $45c (63 delta) or ISE GJ - July $50c (48 delta) &/or Stock

Play Date: 03/21/2007
LEH (Lehman Brothers--$74.20; +1.87; optionable): Investment brokerage
http://biz.yahoo.com/p/l/leh.html
EARNINGS: Announced 3-4-07
STATUS: Double bottom. Volume jumped Thursday on the MS news and the FOMC announcement. That bounced LEH off of the 200 day SMA (72.53), starting higher in the second leg of the double bottom. Looking at some aggressive positions as it moves over the 18 day EMA (74.52) and then we will see how it handles the 'hump' in the pattern up at 76.63. It may form a handle at that point, and that will give us an add-to point when it makes the break higher from there.
Volume: 11.367M Avg Volume: 5.501M
BUY POINT: $74.89 Volume=6M Target=$85.85 Stop=$72.28
POSITION: LES GO - July $75c (55 delta) &/or Stock

Play Date: 03/21/2007
ROLL (RBC Bearings--$32.52; +0.35; optionable): Precision plain, roller, and ball bearings
http://biz.yahoo.com/p/r/roll.html
EARNINGS: Announced 2-8-07
STATUS: Double bottom w/handle. A sweet little pattern has formed over the 50 day EMA (31.24), a short respite after a nice January to February run after the breakout of a 10 week flat base in late January. Nice, tight lateral move over the 18 day EMA (32.15) is setting up the next breakout move. A top stock in fundamentals growth rates and a great pattern.
Volume: 121.333K Avg Volume: 136.875K
BUY POINT: $32.89 Volume=205K Target=$38.95 Stop=$31.77
POSITION: QJF HF - Aug. $30c (69 delta, low OI) &/or Stock

SUBSCRIBER PORTFOLIO: These are stocks subscribers suggest by vote that we put in a portfolio to track and move into the stocks if they perform well. AAPL, AKAM, CELG, DRIV, GME, GOOG, ISE, MA, MRVL, NVDA, WEBX

AAPL: No volume but a nice move higher. The old high is 97.50ish, and if no volume comes in as it approaches that level we will have to be careful not to lose our gain on a reversal.

AKAM: Volume surged as AKAM again bumped the 50 day EMA, cracking it on the close. Still has more to do to show it ahs the power to hold the move.

CELG: Volume is rising as it continues the move off the 200 day SMA.

DRIV: Trying to set a higher low in place but still has plenty of work to do.

GOOG: Gaining volume off the 200 day SMA double bottom attempt.

MA: Volume moved up above average as MA jumped off the 18 day EMA.

NVDA: Got an upgrade and jumped back above the 200 day SMA. Promising.
