THE PLAYS
Good movers: ESV; FORM; GLDN; UCTT; VSEA; WFR; WMS; CHRS
New Plays:
Upside:
Play Date: 03/21/2007
ANAD (Anadigics--$13.14; +0.65; optionable): Semiconductor integrated circuits
http://biz.yahoo.com/p/a/anad.html
EARNINGS: Announced 2-12-07
STATUS: Ascending base. Volume jumped Wednesday as ANAD headed toward the breakout from a short 5 week base that formed over the 18 day EMA (12.51). This short base is consolidating the nice early February breakout and run higher from a 9 month cup with handle pattern. The move took ANAD to a 4+ year high on some tremendous volume. Nice lower trade as it consolidated, and now volume is coming back in as ANAD moves higher. Semis are looking quite good now.
Volume: 3.589M Avg Volume: 2.494M
BUY POINT: $13.55 Volume=2.6M Target=$16.32 Stop=$12.68
POSITION: AKQ GV - July $12.50c (65 delta) &/or Stock

Play Date: 03/21/2007
ISE (International Securities Exchange--$48.24; +1.18; optionable)
http://biz.yahoo.com/p/i/ise.html
EARNINGS: 4-25-07
STATUS: Cup. A great mover for us to end 2006, ISE needed to consolidate and it is doing so with the current 17 week base. It is starting to turn back up from the bottom that formed using the 200 day SMA (45.02) as support. Money flow is surging higher ahead of price and when ISE takes off it is likely to cover some ground in a hurry.
Volume: 538.5K Avg Volume: 825.543K
BUY POINT: $49.44 Volume=1.2M Target=$55.45 Stop=$46.42
POSITION: ISE GI - July $45c (63 delta) or ISE GJ - July $50c (48 delta) &/or Stock

Play Date: 03/21/2007
LEH (Lehman Brothers--$74.20; +1.87; optionable): Investment brokerage
http://biz.yahoo.com/p/l/leh.html
EARNINGS: Announced 3-4-07
STATUS: Double bottom. Volume jumped Thursday on the MS news and the FOMC announcement. That bounced LEH off of the 200 day SMA (72.53), starting higher in the second leg of the double bottom. Looking at some aggressive positions as it moves over the 18 day EMA (74.52) and then we will see how it handles the 'hump' in the pattern up at 76.63. It may form a handle at that point, and that will give us an add-to point when it makes the break higher from there.
Volume: 11.367M Avg Volume: 5.501M
BUY POINT: $74.89 Volume=6M Target=$85.85 Stop=$72.28
POSITION: LES GO - July $75c (55 delta) &/or Stock

Play Date: 03/21/2007
TZOO (Travelzoo--$38.31; +0.76; optionable): Internet travel media
http://biz.yahoo.com/p/t/tzoo.html
EARNINGS: Announced 2-6-07
STATUS: Cup w/handle. Broke sharply higher Monday on strong volume, clearing the handle in its 11 month base that formed roughly along the 50 day EMA (33.91) and the 90 day MA (32.45). Nice break higher, a pause Tuesday, and starting back up Wednesday. Ready to move in as TZOO continues higher and follow some strong money flow. Strong 13 to 4 accumulation shows heavy buying (13 up weeks on rising volume to 4 down price weeks on rising volume).
Volume: 467.367K Avg Volume: 342.732K
BUY POINT: $38.68 Volume=500K Target=$46.45 Stop=$36.32
POSITION: QTV FG - June $35c (70 delta) or QTV IH - Sept. $40c (55 delta, low OI) &/or Stock

CONTINUING PLAYS:
Upside:
Play Date: 03/19/2007
CLB (Core Labs--$84.03; +2.33; optionable): Oil and gas service company
http://biz.yahoo.com/p/c/clb.html
EARNINGS: Announced 2-14-07
STATUS: Ascending base. Volume moved up to average as CLB climbed Wednesday, but with the average volume and lack of solid trade ahead of this move we held off moving in. It has matched the early February high (84.58) in its base, and if it breaks through on stronger trade it is still a buy. To recap: CLB has worked laterally the past two weeks, moving just over the 50 day EMA (80) as it sets up for the next break higher in its 15 week base. Top fundamentals to go along with its pattern. Volume has remained low the past two weeks as it consolidated. Just waiting for volume to rise as it makes its move. That will give us the buy point.
Volume: 268.2K Avg Volume: 301.775K
BUY POINT: New: $84.72 (orig. $82.96) Volume=450K Target=$94.95 Stop=$79.78
POSITION: CLB FP - June $80c (61 delta)

Play Date: 03/13/2007
IVN (Ivanhoe Mines--$11.60; +0.10; optionable): Copper and gold
http://biz.yahoo.com/p/i/ivn.html
EARNINGS: Announced 2-6-07
STATUS: Breakout test. Gapped higher Wednesday on rising, average volume, but could not do anything with it. Still solid and ready to move higher. Nice. To recap: IVN surged to a new all-time high last week as it broke out from an 18 week base, rallying on strong volume. It is coming back to test the move this week, tapping at the 10 day EMA last week and holding that level at near support. Looking solid and just waiting for the rebound on volume.
Volume: 748.2K Avg Volume: 582.47K
BUY POINT: $11.65 Volume=1.2M Target=$14.35 Stop=$10.85
POSITION: IVN FB - June $10c (70 delta) &/or Stock
http://www.investmenthouse.com/ct/ivn.html
Play Date: 03/12/2007
KCI (Kinetic Concepts, Inc.--$50.48; +0.79; optionable): Medical appliances
http://biz.yahoo.com/p/k/kci.html
EARNINGS: 1-30-07
STATUS: Breakout test. KCI continues its 6 week lateral move that is consolidating a strong November to February run. After low volume trade jumped to average Wednesday. Just waiting for KCI to make the move and give us the entry point.
Volume: 871.3K Avg Volume: 907.795K
BUY POINT: $50.72 Volume=1.2M Target=$58.95 Stop=$47.95
POSITION: KCI FJ - June $50c (56 delta) &/or Stock
http://www.investmenthouse.com/ct/kci.html
Play Date: 03/20/2007
TIE (Titanium Metals--$36.30; +0.92; optionable): Titanium and other industrial metals
http://biz.yahoo.com/p/t/tie.html
EARNINGS: Announced 2-13-07
STATUS: Cup w/handle. Gapped higher Wednesday but volume was lower and below average. Still set up and ready to move higher; just waiting for the volume to come in with it. To recap: Working on a 4 week handle (a double bottom of sorts) using the 50 day EMA (33.34) as support as it sets up for the breakout from an 11 month base. Solid volume Tuesday as TIE gapped higher, making it to the prior March high and stalling. Looking for some continued volume as TIE makes the break over those recent highs. We will start the position there and then see how it rallies toward the February high.
Volume: 2.403M Avg Volume: 2.525M
BUY POINT: $36.27 Volume=3M Target=$42.95 Stop=$34.22
POSITION: TIE FG - June $35c (61 delta) &/or Stock
http://www.investmenthouse.com/ct/tie.html
Play Date: 03/03/2007
VCLK (Valueclick--$26.47; +0.18; optionable): Internet advertising services
http://biz.yahoo.com/p/v/vclk.html
EARNINGS: Announced 2-21-07
STATUS: 50 day EMA test. Still working laterally in a tight range over the 50 day EMA (25.75). Volume jumped Tuesday, and it looked ready; Wednesday trade dropped off. It was not ready yet but we are still keeping tabs on it because when it goes it is likely to really rip higher and give us another nice gain as it did on its last run.
Volume: 1.688M Avg Volume: 1.88M
BUY POINT: $26.87 Volume=2.9M Target=$31.95 Stop=$25.32
POSITION: QCS FE - June $25c (60 delta) &/or Stock
