STATUS: Double bottom w/handle. Excellent handle forming the past week, coming back to the 18 day EMA (31.35) and holding on low volume as it completes its 6 week base. Nice technical pattern holding the 50 day EMA (30.36) on the two legs. Set to break to a new all-time high. Excellent fundamentals to go with its pattern.

ICE (Intercontimental Exchange--$127.87; +5.66; optionable)
http://biz.yahoo.com/p/i/ice.html
EARNINGS: Announced 2-7-07
STATUS: After a huge run in 2006 that made us some nice green ICE has spent the past 6 weeks pulling back to test, holding some support in 125. It bounced higher Monday on stronger, average trade, moving up through the 90 day MA (126.38). Like this action and ready to move in as it continues higher on strong trade.

SPN (Superior Energy--$35.26; +0.79; optionable): Oil and gas service company
http://biz.yahoo.com/p/s/spn.html
EARNINGS: Announced 2-26-07
STATUS: Cup w/handle. Working on a 6 session handle to its 14 week base that is part of a larger 12 month reverse head and shoulders. Both are accumulation patterns, and this action is setting SPN for the breakout to a new all-time high. Looking for some good volume to drive it as it makes the move.

ZUMZ (Zumiez--$40.93; +0.81; optionable): Apparel stores
http://biz.yahoo.com/p/z/zumz.html
EARNINGS: Announced 3-15-07
STATUS: Breakout test. Gapped higher in mid-March, moving out of an 8.5 month base. It ran from 37 to 42 and then spent the past two weeks fading back to test. Holding the 10 day EMA (40.26) on the test and starting to rebound. Looking for a bit more trade as it does, but looks very nice.

DIOD (Diodes--$34.59; -0.26; optionable): Semiconductor integrated circuits
http://biz.yahoo.com/p/d/diod.html
EARNINGS: Announced 2-6-07
STATUS: Put. Formed a head and shoulders the past 9 weeks, breaking lower two weeks back. It rebounded but stalled at the 50 day SMA, turning lower on strong volume last week. Gapped higher this week and then rolled down on rising trade. Looking to move in as DIOD continues lower. A move to the target lands a 41%ish gain.
Volume: 422.783K Avg Volume: 508.031K
BUY POINT: $34.45 Volume=525K Target=$32.70 Stop=$35.35

Play Date: 04/02/2007
SOV (Sovereign Bancorp--$24.78; -0.66; optionable): Savings and Loans
http://biz.yahoo.com/p/s/sov.html
EARNINGS: 4-18-07
STATUS: Put. Made a lower high in late March after a low volume peak in February. That lower high didn't stick. SOV dove below the 90 day MA (25.32) Monday on the MBT news on rising trade. SOV had a gap higher in early October, and that has not been filled. That is interesting. Looking to move in as SOV continues lower. A move to the target lands a 46%ish gain.
Volume: 4.914M Avg Volume: 2.971M
BUY POINT: $24.65 Volume=3M Target=$23.40 Stop=$25.04
POSITION: SOV QE - May $25p (-48 delta)

AAPL, AKAM, CELG, DRIV, GME, GOOG, ISE, MA, MRVL, NVDA, WEBX
AAPL: A bit of buzz on the EMI catalog rights. Nice handle is forming, using the 10 day EMA as support for its 11 week base.
CELG: Volume started a bit higher as CELG made a higher low the past week.
GOOG: Trying to make a higher low at the 18 day EMA after the double bottom over the 200 day SMA.
ISE: Still on the verge of making the move.
