Upside:

Play Date: 04/23/2007
CMG (Chipotle Mexican Grill--$65.51; -0.08; optionable): Restaurants
http://biz.yahoo.com/p/c/cmg.html
EARNINGS: 5-1-07
STATUS: Ascending base. CMG tried to make the break out of its 9 week base formed using the 18 day EMA (64.61) on the lows as it makes higher lows. It broke higher last Tuesday, but it had no volume to push it. It faded back to the 10 day EMA to end last week, and showed a tight doji on that near support on Monday. It is set to make the breakout and try its all-time high at 67.50. Need to see strong trade as it makes that break higher.

BUY POINT: $66.12 Volume=700K Target=$75.95 Stop=$64.45
POSITION: CMG IM - Sept. $65c (51 delta) &/or Stock

CROX (Crocs, Inc.--$53.86; +0.18; optionable): Another version of the flip-flop
http://biz.yahoo.com/p/c/crox.html
EARNINGS: Announced 2-20-07
STATUS: Cup w/handle. Volume was up the past two sessions as CROX made a new low Friday in the handle it is forming, then bounced back. It tried the break higher Monday but volume, though near average, was not enough to drive it higher. Nice 11 week pattern that has CROX set up for a new all-time high. Want to see strong volume as it crax out of the handle. Like how we don't have to worry about earnings on this one for awhile.

GLDN (Golden Telecom--$59.88; +1.56; optionable): Russian integrated telecom and internet services
http://biz.yahoo.com/p/g/gldn.html
EARNINGS: Announced 3-25-07
STATUS: Cup w/handle. We were in GLDN recently but some higher volume on a downside day shook us out. It held on and continued to form up its base, an 8 week cup with handle that is setting up the breakout to a new all-time high. Good lateral move along the 18 day EMA and then volume surging Friday and Monday as it starting breaking out to start the new week. Solid money flow and just a solid pattern. Ready to move in on some more upside that clears the late February high. Very nice. Another one we don't have to worry about earnings anytime soon.
Volume: 384.417K Avg Volume: 257.095K
BUY POINT: $60.42 Volume=300K Target=$70.45 Stop=$56.78
POSITION: QDV IL - Sept. $60c (52 delta, 101 OI) &/or Stock

Play Date: 04/23/2007
LRCX (Lam Research--$52.97; +0.20; optionable): Chip equipment.
http://biz.yahoo.com/p/l/lrcx.html
EARNINGS: Announced 4-12-07
STATUS: Cup. We were watching LRCX, looking to see if it would form a handle to its 5 month cup base. It looked as if it was starting Friday and Monday, then TXN announced its earnings after the close and LRCX was trading higher. Solid chip stock that is approaching its old high in 2000, setting up a good base to make the breakout and run. If it continues higher on the TXN news we will look at starting a partial position then wait for the test that likely forms the handle where we add some more when it breaks out.
Volume: 2.009M Avg Volume: 3.681M
BUY POINT: $53.75 Volume=5.5M Target=$61.95 Stop=$51.62
POSITION: LMQ IJ - Sept. $50c (54 delta) &/or Stock

AAPL, AKAM, CELG, DRIV, GME, GOOG, ISE, MA, PCLN, NVDA, NYX

AAPL: Getting perky ahead of earnings after the close on Wednesday. If it runs up to the prior high near 97 by Wednesday afternoon we will look to take at least some off the table.

AKAM: Good price move with volume edging higher. Want to see more volume as it continues.

CELG: Nice gain higher as strong volume move continues. A bit disappointed it closed just over a point off the high, but looking solid.

DRIV: Driving higher though volume is a bit light.

GME: After a lateral move and a shakeout last week it was up strong Monday.

ISE: Nope. Heading lower on volume and glad we bailed last week.

NYX: Now that is a downside gap.
