THE PLAYS

Good movers: BIDU; GOOG; MA; RIG; SLB; SPWR; WNR; IDU; XLU

New Plays: Still many good stocks set for the upside

Upside:

Play Date: 06/23/2007
CMCO (Columbus McKinnon--$31.15; +1.22; optionable): Hoists, cranes, conveyors, etc.
http://biz.yahoo.com/p/c/cmco.html
EARNINGS: Announced 5-8-07
STATUS: Breakout test. CMCO blasted higher in late May out of a 13 month cup with handle batter. That move matched its highs back in April 2006, and since the breakout CMCO has worked laterally along the 10 and 18 day EMA, forming a short reverse head and shoulders. Friday volume surged as CMCO moved to a new closing high on this breakout, just eclipsing the highs in this lateral move. Now the volume may have been a head fake with the Russell rebalancing, but this is a great pattern from a stock with strong fundamentals growth rates. Looking to move in as CMCO continues higher on solid trade.
Volume: 654.128K Avg Volume: 184.08K
BUY POINT: $31.36 Volume=275K Target=$37.65 Stop=$29.32
POSITION: CUF JF - Oct. $30c (63 delta, low OI) &/or Stock

Play Date: 06/23/2007
SNDA (Shanda Interactive Ent.--$28.58; +0.74; optionable): Chinese online games
http://biz.yahoo.com/p/s/snda.html
EARNINGS: Announced 5-23-07
STATUS: Flat base. Of course as soon as we took SNDA off the report it bounces up on the strongest volume in three weeks, posting a nice gain on average volume Friday. Of course the Russell rebalance probably added to the trade, but that does not take away from the great pattern. If it continues higher on stronger volume it is a buy. A top stock as well in terms of earning growth rates.
Volume: 800.557K Avg Volume: 698.42K
BUY POINT: $28.74 Volume=1.1M Target=$34.55 Stop=$26.82
POSITION: QKU IE - Sept. $25c (74 delta) &/or Stock

Play Date: 06/23/2007
VCLK (Valueclick--$28.84; -0.61; optionable): Internet advertising services
http://biz.yahoo.com/p/v/vclk.html
EARNINGS: Announced 5-2-07
STATUS: Double bottom. VCLK is trying to form the second leg to a short double bottom at the 90 day SMA (28.54). VCLK is a market leader that enjoyed a great run into May when it spiked higher on strong volume. That run emptied the gas tank and it had to test. It has held the 90 day SMA just as it did in May, and we really like the set up for a break higher and run toward that prior high at 36. Very low volume on this pullback, showing no real dumping. Looking for the volume to kick up as it makes the break higher.
Volume: 1.629M Avg Volume: 3.103M
BUY POINT: $30.45 Volume=4.5M Target=$36.55 Stop=$28.45
POSITION: QCS IF - Sept. $30c (51 delta) &/or Stock
http://www.investmenthouse.com/cd/vclk.html

New buy points on current positions: Ready to pick up some more positions in leaders that are ready to move. Why try something else when a leader is ready to move higher again?

Play Date: 06/23/2007
ICE (Intercontinental Exchange--$155.52; -3.03; optionable)
http://biz.yahoo.com/p/i/ice.html
EARNINGS: Announce 5-2-07
STATUS: Test 10 day EMA. ICE faded Friday to the 10 day EMA (154.40) on lower, below average volume, testing the solid breakout just over a week back. This low volume test is giving us a new entry point on this stock that can fly like the wind (couldn't really say it can flow like ice). Looking for the bounce on stronger volume.
Volume: 2.809M Avg Volume: 3.517M
BUY POINT: $158.75 Volume=4.5M Target=$178.95 Stop=$154.32
POSITION: IHH IK - Sept. $155c (57 delta)

Play Date: 06/23/2007
MR (Mindray Medical Intl.--$30.05; -0.05; optionable): Medical instruments in China
http://biz.yahoo.com/p/m/mr.html
EARNINGS: Announced 5-15-07
STATUS: Test breakout. MR is a bit volatile, but volatile with an uptrend. It was a new issue here in September 2006. It broke out from a 13 week cup with handle base to start June. It came back to test the 18 day EMA (28.93) and then shot higher Tuesday on strong trade. It finished the week quietly, holding the gains and showing a doji on the 10 day EMA with very low trade. Nice fundamentals and a good position to break higher and give us a great entry point.
Volume: 391.1K Avg Volume: 631.332K
BUY POINT: $30.72 Volume=954K Target=$38.95 Stop=$28.88
POSITION: MR JF - Oct. $30c (52 delta) &/or Stock

SUBSCRIBER PORTFOLIO: These are stocks subscribers suggest by vote that we put in a portfolio to track and move into the stocks if they perform well. If you have any suggestions for additions or deletions, email us. We don't cover them all each report, just when something interesting is developing.

We are compiling the final votes this weekend for the additions this coming week.

AAPL, AKAM, CELG, EDU, GME, GOOG, MA, PCLN, NVDA

AAPL: Refuses to give up any ground, sliding laterally on the 10 day EMA on lower and lower trade. It has been a great run, but AAPL still looks ready to move higher from here. A break over 125 looks like another solid buy point.

CELG: Really in trouble, breaking lower from the 90 day SMA on rising volume. A leader in 2006 that is finished for now.

GME: Nice doji over the 10 day EMA is setting up the next break higher.

GOOG: Surging higher on strong volume.

PCLN: Ready for a buy after testing the 10 day EMA (64.12).

NVDA: What a week as it went ballistic on strong volume.

Good Investing!
